Every single educator who takes on the enormous task of educating children impacts their future in so many ways. Teachers sacrifice so much to give back even more to our children, from their time to their own funds.

"As a member our local PTA, I have had the distinct honor of working closely with Mrs. Del Carlo," said Luu. "As the founder of the The Gratitude Project at Murdy Elementary School, Mrs. Del Carlo spear headed this project with the intention of teaching young children about the value of gratitude, particularly for our veterans. She created a platform where students can interact with veterans and listen to their life experiences, including their battle scars. Through the painful lessons of the past, this annual project enables students to have a very healthy understanding of leading a positive life while being very mindful of their own blessings."

"I have watched Mrs. Del Carlo give herself to our school, the PTA, the children who adore her, and the community at large," said Luu. "This is the very definition of someone who cares so deeply about how she can positively impact students for generations to come.
