Michelle McMillan was nominated by her principal, Caterria Payton.

Ms. McMillan consistently goes above and beyond for the students and families she serves. She is the first teacher in the building each day and the last to leave. Not only is she always willing to assist her students and their families, but she goes the extra mile for other teachers and staff members in her school. She uses her own free time after hours and on weekends to help new and struggling teachers.

Service to the students, staff and families at Jackson Elementary is a family commitment in the McMillan household. Ms. McMillan's husband, Charles, and their sons are in the school daily, doing whatever is needed to make Jackson Elementary School a great place to be.

An amazing person all around. Any amount of sacrifice isn't too great when it comes to the children she teaches. She touches the lives of so many. Molding and shaping children is her true calling.

Mrs. Mcmillian has been an amazing teacher and person to my daughter! My daughter was never excited to go to school until this year. She was so happy to find out she had Mrs. Mcmillian as her teacher. Now she comes home everyday from having a great day and it's because if you! We love you and everything you do Mrs. Mcmillian!!
