Tommy Hartley was nominated by a former student, India Williams.
"I am honored to nominate Tommy Hartley for the Life Changer Program. Mr. Hartley is passionate, family-oriented, and, above all, very funny. As his former student, I never had to worry about a dull moment in his class. He had a special way of making learning fun while being patient, understanding, and never hesitating to correct you when something wasn’t right," said Williams.
"I remember always being one of the first to complete my assignments and making sure I listened to every detail because I knew how much time, effort, and dedication Mr. Hartley put into teaching. His passion for teaching left a lasting impression on me and helped shape me into the person I am today," said Williams.
"One of the greatest lessons I learned from Mr. Hartley went beyond the classroom. No matter what is going on around me, I’ve always tried to treat people with respect because Mr. Hartley taught me that respect can take you far in life. Mr. Hartley also showed me that patience is extremely important, and that lesson has stayed with me throughout the years," said Williams.
"I'm truly grateful that I had the opportunity to be one of his students. His impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and I know his current students and family are honored and blessed to have him in their lives," said Williams.
"I thank Mr. Hartley for being more than just a teacher and for being someone whose words, patience, humor, and dedication made a difference in my life. I’ll always appreciate him and the lessons he taught me, and I believe that is exactly what makes Mr. Hartley deserving of being recognized through the LifeChanger of the Year Program,” said Williams.
