Ms. Menechella encourages mistakes. She thinks one of the biggest positive influences she has is in embracing and encouraging mistakes, and teaching students how to work through them. As a science and fiber arts teacher, she knows that mistakes will happen for students. She shows students how to take those mistakes and embrace them as the learning opportunities and art they are.

Amanda is a talented teacher and fiber artist and I appreciate her teaching philosophy! I hope she wins and can acquire materials and resources to share and bring even more joy to her students! Amanda has used her personal passions for science and for fiber arts to inspire her students. Her dedication to those students and her emphasis on developing their problem-solving strengths inspires their growth as young adults. She also contributes to her school's community-building and staff development outside of her classroom. Her dad and I continue to amazed by her ~ and couldn't be prouder!!
