Music that Describes Christin

Christin Bailey was nominated by a principal, Rachelle Craine.

"If I had to describe Christin Bailey in three words, I would say compassionate, dedicated, and genuine. Christin is the kind of person who makes a difference in students' lives simply by being there. She has a way of making children feel seen, heard, and valued, and that is something that cannot be taught from a textbook," said Craine.

Ms. Bailey brings a wealth of experience to her work, including her experience as a special education teacher. That experience has shaped how she sees students and their individual needs. She is patient, understanding, and willing to keep trying until she finds what works for a student.

What stands out most about her is the relationships she builds and her positivity. She genuinely cares about her students, and they know it. She celebrates their successes, encourages them when things are difficult, and never gives up on them. She has a gift for helping students believe in themselves, especially those who may have struggled or have not always felt successful in school. Her students know that she is in their corner.

Ms. Bailey also positively impacts the adults around her. She is someone you can go to for support, advice, or simply a listening ear. She is willing to step in and help without needing recognition. She contributes to the school culture by being kind, dependable, and positive, and she makes those around her feel like part of a team. She advocates for students, works collaboratively with colleagues, and is willing to have difficult conversations when necessary to do what is best for a child. Her special education background has given her a strong understanding of advocacy, collaboration, and the importance of meeting students where they are.

"She holds herself to a high professional standard, but what I appreciate most is that her professionalism never comes at the expense of compassion. She can maintain high expectations while still making students feel supported and cared for. She understands that sometimes, the most important thing we can give a child is an adult who believes in them and refuses to give up," said Craine.

"I think what makes Christin a true LifeChanger is that her impact often shows up in the little things. It is in the student who walks into school feeling discouraged and leaves feeling capable. It is in the child who needs another chance and gets one. It is in the colleague who needs help and knows Christin will be there. It is in the countless small moments of encouragement, patience, and kindness that add up over time. Christin doesn't just work in a school; she helps make our school better. She makes a difference in children's lives, supports the people she works alongside, and brings compassion and heart to everything she does. I am grateful to work with her, and I cannot think of someone more deserving of being recognized as a LifeChanger," said Craine.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Christin for a year now. She is somebody who you know, you can instantly trust. She absolutely lights up when she talks about her students and having the privilege of being their teacher. Even before having the chance to get to know Christin personally, I had heard several stories about her and how impactful she is to the students. She is truly a genuine & kind soul who brings sunshine wherever she goes!
