Ms. Dodson creates a positive classroom environment by making sure every student feels welcomed, valued, and loved from the moment they walk through her door. She believes that strong relationships are the foundation of learning, so she takes time to get to know her students, celebrate their successes, and support them through challenges. She strives to create a classroom where students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow both academically and personally. She encourages effort and perseverance by recognizing hard work and progress, not just perfect scores. She also makes learning engaging and enjoyable through hands-on activities, creative lessons, and opportunities for students to celebrate their achievements. By setting clear expectations and maintaining consistent routines, she helps students feel secure and confident in the classroom community. Most importantly, she wants her students to know that they matter, that they are capable of success, and that she believes in them. Her goal is to create a classroom where every child feels respected, supported, and excited to learn each day.
It is easy to see how much Abbi truly cares about her students. Abbi is also a wonderful wife and an amazing mom. She gives so much to her own family while still finding the time and energy to give so much to her students. She truly cares about the people in her life, whether they are her own family or one of her kids at school.

Abbi is an amazing person in general. Not only as a teacher but as a wife, mother, niece, etc. She loves family and her career as a teacher. She shows it in all she does and I’m so proud of her. I don’t know how she stays so focused but she does. This nomination is very well deserved.
Abby has been a life saver for me as a new teacher! She helps me when I need a helping hand. She goes above and beyond for her students. She always has a smile on her face weather it’s been a rough day or a day of celebration. I couldn’t think of anyone better to have this award. To not vote for her would be a huge loss! As she began pursuing teaching, I quickly realized that this wasn’t simply another career choice for Abbigale—it was something she genuinely loved. Teaching became a passion for her. She has an incredible ability to connect with students, make them feel seen and valued, and create an environment where they feel comfortable learning and growing. She doesn’t simply teach a lesson and move on; she puts her heart into what she does. She cares about whether her students understand, whether they are struggling, and whether they know that someone believes in them.
What makes Abbigale such an amazing teacher is the way she teaches with both knowledge and heart. She has a natural ability to make learning engaging, to encourage students when they doubt themselves, and to celebrate their accomplishments—both big and small.
