She celebrates students' unique ideas, encourages them to take creative risks, and reminds them that mistakes are simply part of learning and growing. As an elementary art teacher, Ms. Hughes teaches hundreds of students each week, so building relationships is a priority. She greets students by name, celebrates their successes, and makes sure every child has the opportunity to shine. Her classroom is a place where students encourage one another, work together, and learn that every person's creativity has value.
