Ms. Hawkins creates a positive classroom environment by building strong relationships with her students and their families. She strives to make every child feel safe, important, and respected. She sets clear expectations, encourages kindness and teamwork, and celebrates big and small accomplishments.

Through engaging lessons, positive reinforcement, and clear, consistent routines, she manages classroom culture where students can feel like they have a home inside her classroom. They are able to take risks, ask questions, give opinions, and encourage one another. Her goal is to continue to create a fun, engaging atmosphere where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  Throughout the year, students participate in monthly hands-on activities and holiday celebrations that reinforce academic concepts while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and fine motor development. These activities also help foster student engagement and provide memorable learning experiences that many families are unable to provide at home.
