Hillary Attar was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Attar works in a Title I school in an impoverished area of southern Ohio. Funding is limited, and she is currently transitioning from a preschool teacher to an intervention specialist for grades K-2.  Ms. Attar creates a positive classroom environment by ensuring that all students' needs are met. She encourages them to pursue their interests, supports their social and emotional goals, and scaffolds their learning. She strives to create a calming room full of opportunities for exploration and self-regulation.

Ms. Attar works to foster positive relationships between herself and her students through consistent communication and encouragement.
