Christine Adrian was nominated anonymously.

Ms. Adrian creates a culture of respect. She starts the year by laying out what students can expect of her, and in return, she tells them what she expects of them. Students see faces like theirs in her class in the posters on the wall, in the stories they hear in her Social Studies class, and in the investigations they pursue. Her classroom is a community. If somebody is having a bad day, she asks that the other students give that person space; there will be a time that they will need that space, as well. She does her best to touch base with every child in class each day.
