Mr.Carnley is the most helpful, supportive, and encouraging art teacher I have had the opportunity to be taught by. He genuinely cares about his students and their academics. In my 11th grade year I took his AP Art class. Not only does he create a friendly environment for his students to express themselves through their art he encourages them to push themselves in their artsistic abilities. I would not be the artist I am today if not for the experiences and lessons he teaches. I am thankful for my time with Mr.Carnley as a teacher.
Mr. Carnley has always been a great supporter of the community. He (and his kids) have been instrumental in brining life to the Fort Bend County North Annex Building with multiple art projects. These projects have added a special touch and pride in our office and in our building. We a thankful for his friendship and his guidance to the art group.
Richard Carnley has definitely made a significant impact on my life. He was my art teacher for the last two years of my highschool career and then a mentor through my current college career. I distinctly remember how he made sure that all of his students saw their potential when it came to art and even in their daily lives.
He honestly is the best teacher I have ever had. He pushed me when I thought I couldn’t make it far in life; thanks to him I am still pursuing art at Houston Baptist University.
Richard Carnley, is an amazing teacher, artist, husband, father, and brother.
He is busy with school commitments. From class time, to meetings, class planning, and outreach programs, with his students and the school. He is committed to giving each student a solid foundation. Helping the students to prepare and present their art in the best possible way. Being available to support the effort of each student. Those who have passed through his classes over the years are fortunate to have had him as a teacher.
Richard is a great father. I have seen the love he has for his kids and wife. From the day to day routine to much needed one on one time he spends with each of them.
Richard Carnley is involved in his school and with his students. He truly cares about his students and their success as well as the future of education for all. He is consistent in giving back to the school and is always available for anything and anytime the students need him.
He is also a family man, great dad, and a wonderful husband to my grandchildren and daughter. He works hard to provide for his family and is always up for skating, bike riding, pretend play with his children, and still makes time to plan date night with his wife. He is a caring individual and puts others first.
I have known Richard Carnley from 2008-2014 when he served as an adjunct art instructor for Angelina College. Richard taught Art Appreciation, Basic Drawing, Basic Design, Life Drawing and Three-D Design for our division.
Mr. Carnley is well-organized in his presentations and thorough in covering the important class elements in Art Appreciation.
Mr. Carnley generously shared his expertise as a practicing artist when teaching drawing and design courses. He demonstrated concepts in an understandable way for students providing tactile experiences daily. Mr. Carnley effectively managed the class as a whole and assisted students one on one during the art studio classes.
While teaching art major classes, Mr. Carnley actively participated in the student exhibitions each semester. He was supportive by helping students select and display their art work and by attending the opening night receptions.
