Natasha Hampton was nominated by a member of the community, Joe Santana.

"With 16 years of dedicated experience in Title I education, Natasha Hampton's teaching philosophy centers on one core belief: relationships come first," said Santana.

Ms. Hampton spent her first decade in fourth and fifth-grade classrooms within Mesquite ISD, fostering a love for learning in students. Looking to serve the community she calls home, Ms. Hampton transitioned to Royse City ISD during the pandemic, where she spent five wonderful years teaching third-grade math. Today, she has the privilege of cultivating creativity and critical thinking as a K-5 Gifted and Talented Specialist. Ms. Hampton is deeply committed to making learning unforgettable, whether that means tailoring lessons to her students' unique interests or turning her classroom upside down with immersive room transformations.

Her dedication to the school extends beyond the classroom. Ms. Hampton frequently serves as a team lead, mentor teacher, and member of the hiring committee. She was profoundly honored when her peers nominated her for Campus Teacher of the Year, which ultimately led to her being named the Royse City ISD Elementary District Teacher of the Year.

"For Natasha, teaching isn't just a career. It's a lifelong commitment to empowering the kids in her own neighborhood," said Santana.
