I am incredibly proud to write this statement of support for my sister’s nomination for the LifeChanger of the Year Award. As her older brother, I have had a front-row seat to her life’s journey, and I can say without hesitation that she has been practicing the core values of this award since her early childhood. Her colleague’s nomination is a beautiful validation of the work she does every day, but to our family, it is simply a reflection of who she has always been. She changes lives because her heart has been oriented toward service from the very beginning. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor.
Long before she became an impactful professional, she was an exemplary sibling. Growing up, she consistently set an example of what it means to be truly humble and loving. In a world that often encourages people to put themselves first, my sister has always naturally looked outward, seeking ways to lift up those around her. Her humility is not a quiet passivity; it is an active dedication to making sure others feel valued, seen, and supported.

I have known Andrea for almost 20 years, and throughout that time, she has always shown incredible commitment to her students. Even as a high school student, she cared for our special students with so much love, patience, and attention.

Andrea besides being a teacher, is a sweet and dedicated mom of three. She is kind, affectionate, and always there when I need her. Also she is a strong woman that works hard as a mom and as a teacher. The way she cares for her family and the way she supports and love her students is admirable.

I have known Andrea for 15 years! Her goal back then was to become a special education teacher. Despite the many ups and downs that come with “Life” she has remained focused on this. If that’s not a testament to her determination and willpower I don’t know what is! I think she serves as a role model to many including her wonderful children.

Andrea has been a passionate educator since the beginning of her career. She is dedicated to the learning of even those students that struggle with learning. From a very early time in her life, Andrea was devoted to helping those students with disabilities. My favorite memory of he was in high school when she enrolled in class to support those in a Special Education classroom. She was the voice and eyes to these students and took the leadership role to help them around the campus.
Since her childhood she always was very supportive, intelligent happy girl and most importantly a very big heart, she will continue achieving all her goals. Love… your Dad
