Deannea Holman was nominated by her colleague, Mandi Kelly.

Mrs. Holman gives her students the perfect balance of accountability and encouragement.  She is preparing middle school students to think about a different life for themselves by giving them the tools it takes to be successful in high school and college.  She is authentic, inspiring and kind.  Mrs. Holman shows her students grace when second chances are needed and holds them accountable for their responsibilities as a student.  She builds life-long relationships with her students.  She is one of a kind!

For fifty plus years I have witnessed her passion for kids. Her drive to make sure that each child has an equal opportunity in the class room. She strives to equip each child with problem solving skills, she encourages the child to always have faith in yourself and to never give up. Mrs. Holman really does care about the children. She constantly tries to be a positive role model for her students. She loves her students and in most cases that love is returned. If a child really wants to learn they will under Mrs. Holman

Being an educator myself, I can appreciate the dedication that Mrs. Holman displays to her students as well as her peers. For Mrs. Holman it is not just about the job it is whether at the end of the day after careful self examination she is able to say I did my best to give each student the necessary tools to be successful on their next journey as they prepare to further their education. For a job well done, I say thank you for your endeavors.
