LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Peggy Moore was nominated by a family member, Teresa Barton.

Ms. Moore started her teaching career a little later in life and has been teaching since 2013. She has a Master's degree in secondary science education and is currently working on a physics certification due to the lack of physics teachers in her county. Ms. Moore does not let opportunities pass by. She spends her summer attending professional development to help her better prepare students for the future. She was selected as Mercer County's JASON Teacher Argonaut for 2026 and is very excited for the upcoming expedition to Houston. Ms. Moore believes in preparing her students for the future, not just in science, but in organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and more. 

"Her students win state-wide awards for science fairs, bridge building, and citizen science, so she must be doing it the right way! Peggy Moore is most definitely a LifeChanger for her students," said Barton.
