"I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have had Cairsten as both my TA and my school counselor from grades 7-12. She has always been an incredibly caring and supportive person for her students, and she showed me more patience than I probably deserved during my time in school. I know I wasn’t always the easiest student to work with, but she never once gave up on me. She was always there—not just for school-related things, but for anything going on in my life outside of school, as well. She truly went above and beyond to make sure I, along with every other student she worked with, graduated and was prepared for life after high school. I can say with complete confidence that I would not be where I am today without her in my corner, and that is why she is, without a doubt, a LifeChanger," said the nominator.
