Connie has a love for her students like I wish my own teachers would have had when I was growing up . Not only does Connie want to instruct her student in the subject she teaches, he truly wants to see her students succeed in life, She passes on valuable life lessons from 'back in the day'. She acts as a life coach, encouraging the student to consider other ways of looking at their choice in professions. She is very kind and caring towards her students and coworkers. She encourages the students to use common sense, to consider their actions on other people, to think about what impact their individual choices has on society. Connie is always willing to volunteer at the school, wants operations such as car pool to run smoothly, and is friendly, fun, and prompt. I would want Connie to be present if there is ever an emergency or someone in need - she keeps a cool head and uses her good sense to make beneficial decisions for all, always keeping in mind safety She has great communication with everyone I know. I can't think of anyone who deserves this nomination more than Connie.

I've known Connie since we were kids growing up together in a small close knit farm community. She has always been one of the kindest, most thoughtful friend I've ever had. It doesn't surprise me that she has been nominated for this award. She is someone who makes everyone she meets feel as an important part of her life and heart.

I have known Connie since we were kids. We grew up, and went to school together. She is one if those people who you just can't say enough good things about. She is warm, loving, and kind. She is a truly caring person, as is demonstrated by her strong family ties, friendships, and the work she does as an educator. I know that she has definitely changed my life for the better! I cannot think of someone more deserving to be "life changer of the year"!

I have know Connie since our school days back in Illinois. Here is what I know about her. Connie has always been an outgoing and energentic person. I cannot ever recall seeing her in bad temper or unwilling to share her characteristic smile. Being around Connie is always uplifting. Connie puts her heart into everything she does. From her friends to sports, she was always 100%. There is no truer friend than Connie and she has always made anyone she met feel like her friend.

She is also an incredible Karaoke singer! I had the pleasure of listening to her, in action, at several faculty events, a couple of moons ago.

Connie and I met outside the school system. But as a friend looking in, she’s awesome when it comes to her classes. Always involved with extra activities and volunteers often. I can see how passionate she is about all her students. Excellent choice.

I have known Connie for a little over 45 years. She has always been a good friend. I remember her being very active in sports, church, drama and much more during school years. She has a fantastic personality, funny, honest, hard worker, creative and smart! She moved to TX and we lost touch. I recently moved to TX and was thrilled to live so close to her. Connie loves teaching and truly cares for her students. During Hurricane Harvey aftermath, she was helping her community every weekend, along with collecting donations for those in need. I am honored to be her friend and I am so glad she was nominated.
