LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Sasha Bladen was nominated by a colleague, Kenneth Jay. 

"I have watched Sasha interact with students of numerous age groups and abilities. In my many years of interacting with students and teachers, I don't recall seeing a more respected educator," said Jay.

Ms. Bladen has led the students of the Penquis Valley Key Club to reach an incredible amount of community service. These students are motivated and are so proud to please their wonderful teacher/advisor. Many educators would be doing their job and getting home, but Ms. Bladen goes the extra mile on her own time (and very often her own dime) every day. She just cares so much that it is moving and emotional. All of the children who get the good luck to be in her class are better off for it.

"It has been my honor and privilege to know Sasha and work with her, and I hope she never leaves our district," said Jay.
