Ms. Ehlers is deeply committed to student growth. Each week, she performs miracles at Welborn by teaching her students how to read. She explicitly teaches the skills students are missing and helps them move on to the next skill. Because of Ms. Ehlers, more students will become readers, and readers are leaders! Ms. Ehlers loves all of her students, even the ones who need extra support. She is always willing to meet, problem-solve, and create plans that help students succeed. She is consistent, believes in her students, and truly embodies what it means to be a warm demander.
"Ms. Ehlers is dedicated to Welborn. She goes out of her way to find special prizes for our Family Nights, and she takes time to educate parents about their children’s growth and needs. Ms. Ehlers is a true LifeChanger," said Chaney.
