Aaron Litzsey was nominated by a parent of a student, Kiannah Rhodes.

"If I had to describe Aaron Litzsey in three words, I would say: committed, uplifting, transformational. I am nominating Mr. Litzsey because I have personally seen the difference he makes in students' lives, both in and out of the classroom. My daughter was his English student last year, and the impact he had on her did not stop when the school year ended. She is currently involved in Urban Promise 901, the mentoring organization he leads, which shows his dedication to students goes far beyond a paycheck or the school day," said Rhodes.

Mr. Litzsey has a proven ability to make a positive difference in students' lives because he sees potential in young people and works to bring it out. He encourages students to believe in themselves, push through challenges, and take their futures seriously. Many educators teach lessons, but Mr. Litzsey teaches confidence, discipline, and purpose. He also adds to the school's atmosphere by bringing energy, encouragement, and accountability wherever he serves. Students know he cares, and that creates respect. He has a way of connecting with young people while still holding them to high standards. That combination helps create a healthier and more productive school culture.

His leadership extends beyond the classroom. Through Urban Promise 901, Mr. Litzsey mentors youth, helps students build plans for life after high school, and creates opportunities many students might not otherwise have. He is the kind of leader who doesn't just talk about problems; he creates solutions. Professionally, he demonstrates excellence by consistently showing up for students, families, and the community.

"As a parent, I appreciate educators who communicate, care deeply, and invest time in helping children succeed. Mr. Litzsey does all of those things," said Rhodes.

Most importantly, he creates a nurturing atmosphere. Students know they are valued around him. He is firm when needed, but always caring. In a time when many young people need guidance and positive role models, he provides both. Mr. Litzsey also operates with high moral and ethical standards. He serves with integrity, compassion, and genuine concern for others. He is the same person in the classroom, in the community, and in leadership.
