LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Dr. Brad Helmer was nominated by a parent of a student, Joe Santana.

Dr. Helmer is the epitome of a humble servant-leader. He is the first person to step in and help, without ever being asked. He is also the last one to leave once a task is achieved. He leads with humility and care for his staff and student body.

Dr. Helmer carries the weight of the entire organization on his shoulders while also giving each individual time to hear their thoughts or concerns, whenever needed. Dr. Helmer welcomes every student in the morning, regardless of the weather, so that everyone sees a smile when they enter the building. While he is the leader of the organization, he is always the first to roll up his sleeves and do the work, whether it's plunging a toilet, solving a problem, or moving furniture up flights of stairs.

Dr. Helmer loves every person who walks through our building and exudes love in all that he does. He makes sure every person is cared for and has what they need. If they don't, he finds a way to provide for them.

Dr. Helmer leads with humility, grace, and kindness while also holding high expectations for the staff and students. He is a well-known and respected community member, both within the school walls and in Rockwall County. Dr. Helmer is always working hard, and he will never ask someone to do something he isn't willing to do himself. He makes sure that his students and staff are safe, cared for, and loved.
