Music that Describes Anndrela

Anndrela Woods was nominated by colleague, Mya Wilder.

Ms. Woods is a LifeChanger because she goes beyond teaching science. She makes a real difference in her students' lives and in the school community as a whole. She is the kind of educator who wants her students to succeed academically, grow in confidence, and feel supported both in and out of the classroom.

As a science teacher, Ms. Woods works hard to make learning clear, engaging, and meaningful for her students. She not only covers the material, but takes the time to help students truly understand it and prepares them for important academic milestones such as state exams. Her dedication helps students feel more confident, more prepared, and more capable of succeeding. Ms. Woods creates a classroom environment where students know they can ask questions, keep learning, and improve.

Ms. Woods also adds to the positive atmosphere of her school through her involvement beyond the classroom. She serves as an assistant volleyball coach and has also supported the track and basketball teams. That extra involvement shows students that she cares about them as people, not just as students in a science class. By showing up in multiple areas of school life, Ms. Woods helps build stronger relationships and creates a more encouraging and connected environment for students.

Her leadership is clear in the way she steps up wherever she is needed. Whether she is teaching, helping students prepare for exams, or supporting school athletics, she brings the same steady commitment, positive attitude, and professionalism. She leads by example, showing students the value of hard work, consistency, and care for others.

Ms. Woods has already shown excellent professional performance early in her career. She balances academic instruction, student encouragement, and extracurricular support in a way that reflects both dedication and maturity.

Ms. Woods also helps create a nurturing atmosphere by being approachable, dependable, and encouraging. Students benefit from having an educator who is invested in their growth and who wants them to do well in all areas of life.

Just as importantly, Ms. Woods carries herself with strong moral and ethical standards. She is respectful, responsible, and caring in her interactions with students and her contributions to her school. She represents the kind of educator who leaves a lasting positive impact through both her work and her character.

"Anndrela Woods is a LifeChanger because she helps students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged, and she strengthens her school community through her teaching, leadership, and service as an assistant volleyball coach and supporter of other student activities," said Wilder.
