Mayra Montalvo was nominated by Fisher Elementary School principal Rhapsody Quintero.

Mrs. Montalvo’s classroom is a vibrant and engaging learning environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She provides hands-on learning experiences that allow her Pre-K students to explore, discover, and build foundational skills in both languages. Through interactive lessons, meaningful conversations, and developmentally appropriate activities, she ensures that each child is actively engaged in learning. Her students are excited to come to school each day, and parents consistently express appreciation for the care, communication, and dedication she provides. Beyond her classroom, Mrs. Montalvo plays a vital leadership role within the school as the director of the Mariachi Marlins.
