LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Laura Lemons was nominated by a friend, Christy Fowler. 

"I am honored to nominate my best friend, Laura Lemons, for the LifeChanger Award because of the incredible impact she has on students at our school every single day," said Fowler.

Ms. Lemons has a rare ability to make kids feel seen, heard, and valued, even when those students are struggling or feel overlooked. She consistently goes out of her way to support others, whether that means helping a student who's having a hard day, encouraging someone who doubts themselves, or simply being a safe and positive presence in the school environment. Her kindness is genuine, constant, and deeply meaningful.

What truly sets Ms. Lemons apart is how students naturally trust her. Kids feel comfortable opening up, asking for help, and being themselves around her. Because of this, Ms. Lemons has changed how many students feel about school, turning it into a place where they feel supported rather than judged. Her compassion, patience, and dedication have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many students, as well as in her nominator's life.
