Dr. Ebony Wrenn was nominated by Starkeshia Rogers, a parent of a student.
"I nominated Dr. Wrenn due to the great work she has done, not only for her current school, but as my child's former preschool principal. At a point where COVID-19 made everything feel unfamiliar, including new policies, Dr. Wrenn was able to understand my frustrations and uncertainties in a compassionate way, without passing judgment. She has made, and continues to make, many great contributions to the school," said Rogers.
"I have seen a huge change and difference in the work put into the school, the outreach from the school, and much more with Dr. Wrenn as the executive director. Dr. Wrenn has inspired me to continue advocating for my children and pushing for them. She has always made me feel as though my opinion and voice matter, in addition to those of the students," said Rogers.
