"All my life, I have fought. I fought to prove myself, to be liked, or because I was angry. I have been in foster placement and juvenile hall because of my anger," said the nominator. "It wasn't until I came to Green Design and met Mrs. Diop that my life changed. At first, I didn't want to open up to her, but when I did. my life changed. It was, and still is, a struggle to work on myself and control my anger, but because of Mrs. Diop, I know i can. Mrs. Diop not only taught me interventions, but she's also a consistent figure and role model who I look up to. I can not say how much she means to me."
