Chelsea Bruner was nominated by her friend, Brenda Warren.

Ms. Bruner has a positive attitude despite personal difficulties. She is an excellent communicator. She advocates for her students. Ms. Bruner constantly and consistently builds teacher and student morale via her optimism, constructive criticism, and flexibility. She is willing (and able) to work with students who have just started the RTI process. She provides feedback to teachers regarding students she currently has in her classes and students that are in the RTI program. Ms. Bruner creates a safe space for her students. She works with some of the most spirited students on campus, and she has built a wonderful rapport with them. Her students respect her because she respects them.

Chelsea has a special understanding of challenges students with Dyslexia face. She has a special depth of understanding she can utilize in her daily work with these students. They are a joy to her. Chelsea tirelessly puts forth the effort every day, always thinking of her students and their individual needs, as not everyone requires the same support. She pushes herself to be there for them in spite of her own physical challenges.
