Joey Breaux was nominated by Tammy Shepherd.
"Several years ago, I was an aide on the Special Needs route. Almost every day, Joey would meet us and greet the kids as if they were his own," said Shepherd. "On the days he wasn't able to meet us. I would walk the kids in. All the kids in the classroom and hallways would be yelling his name, 'Mr. Breaux.' The excitement in their voices was heart warming. The interactions Joey has with the kids are very overwhelming. I am very sure there are so many great qualities he has that I am not aware of. I do not know him personally, just as an aide on the bus, but he has made my heart smile with his greeting, and he always has a smile on his face."
Bravo on nominating Joey for this award. He goes above and beyond on and off the clock for the benefit and welfare of all children.
Joey has a heart as big as his smile. He genuinely cares for each of his students showing patience and kindness to all. Lee is very blessed to have Joey and he is very deserving of this award.

I teach down the hall from Joey. He always has a smile on his face. I have never heard him complain about anything. He's one of the most positive people I know. He loves his job and the kids he teaches.
Joey Breaux is incredibly patient and resilient. He works day after day with his students and celebrates their successes each and every day. He has a tough job and even on extra tough days, he can still smile. He truly has a gift for working with his class. He is blessing to have at Lee Elementary.
As Joey’s principal, I get to see regularly the love, care, and hard work he puts into growing the students in his class. Joey also helps our district’s students as a bus driver, where he’s proven to help kids that aren’t even on his bus route. Joey is deserving of this award.
I have had several conversations with him about students that have moved from my class/school to his. He is always going above and beyond to figure out whatever it takes to serve his students well!
I worked with Joey for 2yrs at Lee Elementary. His students love him. He has a big heart, lots of patiences, and is a hard worker. He’s a great role model for all!
Mr. Breaux is a great asset to Lee Elementary and the teaching community. He brings joy to the students he serves, and he is always willing to help any of his co-workers, and it is done with a smile. Mr. Breaux will find time to talk with any and all of the students in our building.
Joey Breaux is a dedicated teacher. He excels at his work in the classroom with his students. Joey’s students, parents, and coworkers admire and love him because he puts his students first.
Mr. Breaux is an amazing teacher! Very patient with the kids. He gets on their level and interacts with them and talks to them not at them. All of the kids WANT to be in his class and want to go to school. He was not only an amazing teacher to my children but he is an amazing father to one of my daughter's peers. It says a lot about a person when they have raised such a respectable young lady that her peers look up to. Mr breaux is definitely one of the teachers that you lool back at graduation and thank for making such a difference in your educational experiences.
We have always considered Mr. Breaux a part of our family! He was our daughter, Nevaeh's teacher for 2 years and she just loved him! He's always been so good to her and gave Nevaeh another big reason to go to school with a big smile on her face! He taught her so many wonderful things and was always very patient and kind! Mr. Breaux made an everlasting impact in our daughter's life and we are forever thankful for him!
Mr. Breaux is my sons kindergarten teacher this year and we love him! Hes amazing! He makes sure his students and parents are welcome in his room!

Mr. Breaux has always been so friendly, my daughter went there K-5 and now I have Kindergartener there again, all the years that I've seen him around the school he is ALWAYS happy and helping! Congrats!
