Music that Describes TaNitra
Tanitra Robinson was nominated by her colleague of 20 years, Beverly Rector.
"Good morning scholars! It's a beautiful day in Zamunda!" Ms. Robinson affectionately calls out to her first graders. She stands at her door greeting each little face that walks past her as they try to figure out what and where Zamunda is!
"I have always admired Tanitra's spirit of relentlessly giving and being a servant leader to others near and far," said Rector. "Her passion to help kids learn and to teach them their self-worth is the most valuable lesson anyone can learn from."
Ms. Robinson's love for helping others has always been modeled, not only through her teaching, but through the positive relationships she builds with students, parents, colleagues and others in various communities. Ms. Robinson continues to nurture others around her through her infectious smile, humorous spirit, encouraging words or simply donating her daughter's gently use clothes to a 5th grade girl in need.
Ms. Robinson is the published author of The 187 School Day Challenge, a book that teaches students about self-worth by helping them discover their gifts and talents. Inspired by her personal journey, Ms. Robinson began to share the message to the masses on the importance of discovering your purpose. In May 2018, she was highly sought-after to serve as the keynote speaker at the B.K. Reagan Scholar Summit and B.K. Bruce 5th grade graduation ceremony.
As an active participant of the Girls of Greatness and advocate for Phoenix Women's Outreach organization, Ms. Robinson continuously supports these 501(c) 3 endeavors as they set out to improve the lives of women and children.
The most important title Ms. Robinson will ever wear proudly is that of being a loving mother to two teens, Asia and Amari. She unapologetically and relentlessly models love and guidance to her daughters by helping them to achieve their dreams, having lots of teachable moments and gently correcting them when needed.
In conclusion, Ms. Robinson is a LifeChanger, not only because of what she does, but because of who she is: a catalyst of hope.
