Andrea Carrier was nominated by her colleague, Sarah Baney.

Ms. Carrier is truly one of a kind! Though she deals with struggles surrounding her child’s health outside of school, she doesn’t allow it to affect her classroom environment. From the moment her students walk in the room, she makes connections with them. They trust her, love her and enjoy her wit.

Ms. Carrier makes history fun! She doesn’t give her students lots of worksheets; instead, she helps her students truly feel as though they have stepped back into time. This is done through her unique presentation of history through storytelling, which her students can apply to their life. She is a leader who makes everyone feel welcome and has a postitive attitude daily!
