Music that Describes Christy
Christy Hertsch was nominated by a friend, Leigh Cambra. They met each other through the California Association of Directors of Activities when Cambra first became an activities director.
"Christy was welcoming to me and willing to help me out with anything I needed. As the years have gone on, Christy has even helped chaperone prom at my school!" Cambra said.
Ms. Hertsch is also welcoming to her own students and has been recognized by CADA as the Warren Shull Middle School Award winner this year. The award recognizes outstanding contributions in working with student leaders. CADA chooses a middle school and high school designee each year to represent the state of California at the NASC conference. Ms. Hertsch regularly takes her student-leaders to leadership camps and conferences and encourages them to present and be "leaders of the leaders." This year, she also started a Kindness Club, which was chartered to spread kindness throughout the school and community.
