Mrs. Peynado-Castro is the principal you want to see at every school. You can find Mrs. Peynado-Castro either in her office, in every classroom, or with students or parents.

"Too often in many schools, principals are never available, but Mrs. Peynado-Castro is always on the go and always available! Mrs. Peynado-Castro cares for her students, and she shows them that she is there for them," Rivera said.

Mrs. Peynado-Castro is a busy principal, but as a mother herself, she understands how important it is having a child in middle school and is still available to her staff, her students, her families, and her own children.

"My son is a sixth-grader at her school and was nervous entering middle school, but she welcomed my child with open arms and assured him he’s safe. She’s there for him, and so is her staff," Rivera said.
