Music that Describes Jayna

Jayna Lowery was nominated by her family member, Billie Morgan.

Ms. Lowery has built her career around helping underprivileged children and students with multiple disabilities reach their potential. Her classroom is a place of patience and possibility. She coaches the local track team with the same commitment she showed as a student-athlete, and she leads the SADD program so students always have a safe place to turn. She even gives up her own lunch period to make sure every student who needs support receives it. Additionally, she participates in the homebound program, providing education to students who cannot attend school in person.

"One story that has stayed with me is when she shared her experience helping a student with autism who struggled with testing. She advocated for the accommodations the student needed, worked closely with them to build their confidence, and never once made them feel they were asking for too much. Because of her persistence and compassion, that student not only succeeded academically but also ultimately graduated high school with pride. Hearing her talk about that journey and how fiercely she believes in every child showed me the real power of a LifeChanger," said Morgan. "It is not just about teaching; it is about opening doors that students may never have believed they could walk through. She changes lives by showing up every day with kindness, energy, and the belief that every child deserves a champion. She chooses to be that champion over and over again."
