Isabel Alvarez was nominated by her principal, Sunshine Sepulveda-Klus.
Mrs. Alvarez is a versatile teacher, not only to her students, but to other staff and parents in fully supporting the community. She has been the lead Special Education teacher and English Learner teacher. She engages students with enthusiasm for achievement. She has incorporated multiple modalities for learning in all courses and provided mentoring for other teachers, both general and special education. She is always accessible to parents, students, and the community to provide both academic and emotional support to achieve greatness. She sets the bar high, but makes the rungs to the top achievable.

Mrs. Alvarez is an amazing educator to students! She continues to serve others and teaches many subjects as well as always has a listening ear for anyone. I feel grateful to know and learn so much from Mrs. Alvarez. She is someone I genuinely admire—not just for how hard she works, but for how consistently she shows up for others. She has made a real difference by supporting and encouraging so many students, helping people feel included, and raising the standard for what it means to be a positive leader!!

When it comes to working with students and cultivating their strengths, Mrs. Alvarez is the teaches with that unique talent. Mrs. Alvarez The most kind and hard working teacher i ever met when she teaches i feel like i'm actually gonna learn when she is teaching i feel actually wanting to learn the subject she's telling us. sometimes i feel like giving up on work and not trying again but she gives me that boost like no one else gave me makes me wanna try and finish my work to finish and graduate.
What can I say? She's truly the best educator and the most patient, caring soul I know. I had the privilege of having her as a teacher twice and all my best memories are with Isabel Alvarez. I've learned so much from her and now I will teach my children all that I have learned. Pure gold. I know that all my other classmates feel the same. Mrs. Alvarez is one of the most sweetest and caring teachers at Will Rogers High school. I love Mrs. Alvarez because when any student needs help shes there to support and help each student out, shes very caring and respectful and when you need something shes always there to help.
Ms. Alvarez is, in my opinion, the first teacher in the USA who truly wants to see her students' lives improve. She says things that are straightforward and correct, and I really enjoy studying with her because she is individually suited to the work of each student, not only to learning but also psychologically, which in my opinion every teacher should learn to do. It's always comfortable in her class, and another important thing is that you can always come to her class and you know that they will support you there and understand,what is very important for teenagers.

Mrs. Alvarez provides her students with a safe, warm, and inclusive learning environment where they are encouraged to develop a growth mindset and achieve success. In addition to fostering strong relationships with all the students, she is welcoming to colleagues and actively collaborates and co-teaches with other teachers. She is a gem!

when i first got the this school she was so welcoming and always helps me we my work and is always making me feel seen and making me feel safe in her class. and she always make everyone feel good and understand everybodys diffrent learning habits and encourages people to keep going and to never gives up
