"Mr. Schmall has built up his students' confidence and their love for history. In my personal experience, whenever he called on a student and they weren't right, he would try to give them hints as to what the right answer was. Whenever a student was having a bad day or struggling, he would try his best to help them in any way possible. When we would get our work done, he would let us have free time and let us move around as long as we were respectful," said the nominator. "Mr. Schmall knows when to be serious while also making the lesson fun and engaging. He helped me grow my self-confidence and love for history."
