Her commitment to creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment is evident in initiatives such as starting a school garden, allowing students to grow their own vegetables and spices and experience the reward of seeing their hard work come to life, and have access to additional healthy foods they can take home or enjoy during the school day. She frequently goes above and beyond by using her own resources to provide incentives that acknowledge and celebrate students who demonstrate academic excellence and positive behavior.
Mrs. Prysock supports her students not only academically but personally. She is a steady source of guidance and encouragement, helping them navigate challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even while dealing with her own personal hardships—including the recent loss of a family member—she continues to show tremendous perseverance and gives 100% of herself to her students each day. Her adherence to high moral and ethical standards, combined with her unwavering willingness to step up whenever needed, makes her a true leader within the school community. Maniki is such and caring,kind and spiritual person. I have seen her support her students by always asking about resources for them. I have watched her be a great support for her family. She is amazing and very deserving of this recognition.

There are so many wonderful things I can say about Maniki. Maniki loves teaching. She believes every student can learn and it is her responsibility to find out how to teach them at their level of understanding. Maniki is selfless when it comes to material her students need to help them learn. Working along side Maniki, I have seen her sponsor field trips to ensure all that wanted to go was afforded the opportunity to participate. She spends countless hours preparing lessons that centers around a student lead classroom. In her classroom students are encouraged to use critical thinking and real-life experiences to help them apply their learning with confidence beyond school. Maniki is a role model for students and fellow teachers.
When you think about Maniki… you think of a determined, strong willed individual, you think of love helpfulness, and attentive… Mrs. Maniki is exactly the kind of teacher we need in the classroom. Congratulations Maniki on your nomination! You got this!

It is with great pleasure to have the opportunity to say something about Mrs. Maliki. Mrs. Maliki is a very sweet person who will give you the shirt off her back. When I first met her, she went out of her way to make me feel a part of the center where I met her which is Capital Park. I appreciate her love for teaching and how she expressed her love not only for her classroom but the children in the whole center. Even though we are not at that center now, but at a different place and she is on a different level of teaching than me, she always find time to call me to see how I’m doing and pray with me. I agree that she is a life changer to the kids she teach and also to the she knows.
