Chandra Fry was nominated by the parent of a student, Charles Garrett. 

Ms. Fry is synonymous to the McBean Elementary School family. In her classroom, she actively engages students and always takes pictures at the school's fundraising events. Ms. Fry has taught at McBean Elementary for over 20 years and she will indeed leave a lasting legacy. "As a parent, I have had the pleasure of having her teach two of my children. Not only does she provide an exceptional education, but she also provides a safety net and daily dose of advocacy. My daughter has autism and Ms. Fry insured her needs were being met at school. She is now teaching my youngest child, and he receives the same love and care that he needs to thrive. I know this is not unique to my children. It is safe to believe that her colleagues and parents of other students (past and present) would all attest to this," said Garrett. Ms. Fry provides real-world and engaging lessons that the kids rave about each day. She also keeps parents informed by providing consistent weekly updates and pictures of their children enjoying learning.
