"I have personally watched this coach/mentor help a young man get into college. His relationship-building is amazing. He makes everyone in his vicinity feel special, even if you aren’t an athlete and he is your teacher instead. He wears many hats and has taken on many of the responsibilities of being the junior high coordinator. He does all of these things on top of coaching three sports (football, basketball, and track), all while being an amazing father to his own daughter. He is a father-like figure to many of our students who are lucky enough to be around him," said the nominator.

Malik is our great nephew. Watching him grow from a young man, to a father and now a coach is a proud moment for us. Beating the odds is an understatement! Award or no award, Malik is winning his life's mission. We love you. Goodluck!
I could not be more proud of Coach Malik. To see someone so young step into his purpose with so much heart is inspiring. He pours into these kids the way a father, mentor, and friend does — with patience, accountability, joy, and belief. My boys have had the absolute pleasure of being coached by Coach Robinson for the past three years. During this time, he has been instrumental in their growth and development—not just as athletes, but as young men. His dedication goes far beyond the football field.
Coach Robinson consistently invests in his players’ physical and mental growth, pushing them to reach their full potential while always keeping their best interests at heart. He goes above and beyond—checking in on them after school, offering encouragement when they’ve had a tough day, and reminding them of their worth both on and off the field.
He’s the kind of coach who would go to bat for every single one of his athletes, without hesitation. Coach Robinson is truly one in a million, and we have been beyond blessed to have him in our boys’ lives.
