He has a proven ability to make a beneficial difference in the lives of students by instilling in them the values of not only physical fitness, but teamwork, perseverance, and confidence. His ability to create a positive school atmosphere is evident the moment you walk onto campus. Students light up when they see him, and his energy sets a welcoming tone for the day. He is highly visible throughout the school, actively engaging with students and families in a way that fosters trust and connection. Coach Fulcher consistently goes above and beyond to build community as he collaborates with staff and serves as a role model for students, demonstrating respect, responsibility, and kindness in every interaction.
I am nominating Anthony Fulcher for his commitment to excellence as a teacher, coach, mentor and leader for every student at Bloom Elementary School. Anthony is professional, dedicated, prepared and consistently goes above and beyond to support the students and school. Anthony has a strong understanding and ability to tailor lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure activities are for all students, fun and educational. These plans involve creativity, health and well-being, fitness, games, teamwork exercises and ensures every student feels valued and encouraged to participate. Resulting in students with improved physical skills and an appreciation for how an active lifestyle can benefit their overall health and happiness. In addition to his exceptional teaching, Anthony regularly organizes and coaches extracurricular sports teams, and events that promote physical activity and school spirit. His leadership has helped create a culture where students of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate. One of the highlights of Anthony’s year is coaching the first Bloom basketball team. These teams and events not only enhance the athletic talents of the students but also emphasize the importance of teamwork, good sportsmanship, commitment, and school spirit. His approach to professional development ensures he is up-to-date with the latest in physical education to continuously adjust teaching and coaching plans to benefit students. His positive influence extends beyond his physical education classes. It is evident on the school campus, extracurricular sports events and at school events how respected Anthony is by students, parents and teachers. You constantly hear students yell “Coach Fulcher” to get his attention and connect with him. Parents and teachers acknowledge he shows passion, patience and mentorship as he supports their kids and the students at Bloom. The positive impact of Anthony’s dedication as a teacher at Bloom can be seen not only in the physical improvements of students but also in the confidence and self-esteem they develop with his influence.
