She builds foundations that last, helping students develop language, pre-literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills through intentional play, routines, and faith-centered moments—so children enter Kindergarten ready to thrive. She walks closely with parents to create the best educational experience, communicating clearly and celebrating every milestone.
As a former lead teacher at Ram Lamb Prep, she coached her peers, aligned routines, and shared resources to elevate the entire team. She also directs the school's Summer Camp, which serves over 160 students and has been recognized by families as the "best in the West"—well-run, safe, and joy-filled.
Ms. Sanchez is a joyful culture-builder. She transforms events and finishes each week with a Friday "disco party" to celebrate effort and growth, making students feel seen, loved, and proud. She continues to advance her credentials by earning the CDA certification while mentoring teammates and sharing her expertise.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Gaby Sanchez for many years. Our daughters attended Good Shepherd Catholic School together and were both members of the SWAG Youth Ministry. Gaby is truly an inspiration to everyone around her. She has grown tremendously in both her spiritual life and professional career.
Her love knows no limits—she is always ready to lend a helping hand, radiating joy and kindness in everything she does. If she has ever faced struggles, you would never know it, because she fills our hallways with the love of Christ and the sunshine she brings to her students each day.

Ms. Gaby is an excellent educator who fully engages in her students’ lessons and uses creative activities for them to explore! I met Mrs. Gaby in 2023 when we were blessed with her being my first son’s teacher, in his first year at school. I then had the opportunity to work with her in my first year at the school. Saying that she is amazing is an understatement! Her heart bursts with love and devotion for her students. She pours everything into their growth and development, their learning experiences and into making school fun and exciting for them! Now my second son is with her and his improvement this year has been incredible… We are truly blessed to have Mrs. Gaby in our lives!! Gabriela Sanchez is a one-of-a-kind person. I’m proud to say this nominee is my mother. Having witnessed how she goes above and beyond for her students both inside and outside the classroom, I can’t imagine a more appropriate nominee. Whether it’s before or after school hours, on weekends, or during summers, she is always thinking about her kids and how she can make each year better than the previous one. She believes in expanding and improving the knowledge of every one of her kids in a very specific, loving, and positive manner. She treats everyone of her students as if they are her own.

Ms. Sanchez has been a Godsend to our son, Julian. Before getting to her class he struggled a lot with staying engaged and did not want to go to school. Since being in his class his behavior has done a total change! He loves school, loves to do homework and is excited about all the things he is learning. Mrs. Gaby was absolutely amazing during my daughter's first year at GSCS summer camp. We enrolled our daughter in the camp so that she could become familiar with the school, as she would be starting kindergarten this school year. Mrs. Gaby was readily available and genuinely happy to help answer any questions I had during this transition. You could see Mrs. Gaby from a mile away because of her vibrant smile! She is always happy to see all the students in the morning during drop-off, and she is so creative in the classroom that it makes me regret not enrolling my daughter in GSCS earlier. This nomination is so well deserved. Ms. Sanchez is truly a life changer, not only as an educator but as a faithful colleague. I will never forget that year after the Covid pandemic broke out, when schools reopened as a hybrid model. Some students went back in person and some stayed home and attended virtually. My medical condition would not allow me to go back in person, and Ms. Sanchez made it possible for me to teach from home that year by accepting the responsibility of being there in person with my class every day, while I taught from home via Zoom. I’m forever grateful for her support and dedication during that year with me. The following year, Ms. Sanchez stepped into the preschool world, teaching her own class of preschoolers, and I was blown away by the commitment, love and creativity she poured into her new role. Many years later, she is still shining and loved by all her preschoolers and their families. A true testament of a life changer to all who know her.
Ms. Sanchez has been such a blessing to our son Chuchu in PK3. She creates a joyful, loving classroom where he feels safe, excited to learn, and proud of himself. We are so grateful for the strong foundation she is building for him during these important early years.
