Mr. Robles has changed the lives of many kids in East Los Angeles. He's a PE teacher who really loves his job and his students.
"He is one of the few teachers I have had who really loves what he does, and that love is contagious," said a student. "When I was first in his class as a 9th grade student, I didn't like to dress for PE, and I was ashamed of my body. He taught me to love myself and accept myself for who I was, not for how I looked. I shared with him my desire to lose weight and get healthy, and he helped me accomplish those goals. He went out of his way to teach me how to eat better and how to properly exercise without getting hurt. Not only did my body change, but my whole outlook on life and self-esteem changed. As an adult, I apply what he taught me 5 years ago, and I am a better person because of it."
