Music that Describes Chelsea
Chelsea Pace was nominated anonymously.
Mrs. Pace is an innovative and dedicated educator, deeply committed to fostering a student-centered learning environment. As a State Tested teacher, she exemplifies excellence in education and serves as the sponsor for both the Drama Club and the Board Game Club. On any given day, Mrs. Pace can be found engaging her students through real-world experiences, inspiring literature, and interactive learning activities, all while cultivating a sense of enjoyment and enthusiasm in the classroom. Her passion for education and her ability to connect with students make her a remarkable asset to the educational community.
I cannot think of a better nominee for this award. Mrs. Pace has made such a positive impact on so many people’s lives. Every class change I see kids going into her classroom, including myself, just to talk with her and laugh and get support. She welcomes them all with open arms. Even students she has never taught or met have been welcomed into her room and love it. She fosters an incredible environment in the classroom and outside of it. Along with the amazing teacher that she is, she is also an incredible theater sponsor. Around three years ago, our school barely had a club for theater. She changed that. We have put on many successful productions under her and every day we build our program a little more. It’s still a small program, but it has heart and dedication. That’s all thanks to Mrs. Pace. Speaking personally, she has always been an inspiration. Anytime I need help or to talk or just a laugh she is ALWAYS there. I can’t imagine any other teacher, director, or staff of any kind that is better fit for this nomination. I love you Mrs. Pace and thank you for everything you do for all of us.
My daughters are both part of the drama club thanks to Mrs. Pace! Both of my daughters are shy so they work behind the scenes. She tries to make sure that even members of other clubs can still participate in drama. My youngest daughter is in marching band as well as drama and Mrs. Pace communicates with the other directors/staff to make it easier so those students don't have to choose. My oldest with you anything to help Mrs Pace, the antique store down the road was going out of business and my daughter noticed a huge divider and insisted we get that for drama club because Mrs Pace needed one so badly. She was willing to spend her money on it! I had a major surgery 2 years ago and Mrs Pace was willing and did pick my daughter up and take her to and from drama events because I could not drive. That's how dedicated to her students she is! WE LOVE MRS. PACE!!!
Mrs. Pace has been such a big inspiration for wanting to be in drama club. Not only has she motivated me to act and perform, but also being able to help out in the productions from the sidelines. It has been a true honor and so so so much fun to be in the Black Feather Theater group, through which I have met so many amazing people!! She is truly the only individual who could make such an amazing group of people by bringing everyone close in spirit!!
I met Mrs. Pace my freshman year when I joined the drama club and I've had nothing but a positive experience with her leadership. She's always been encouraging to us, pushing us for roles or jobs she thinks we will excel in. I've loved my time in drama club so much, it's been a way for me to become more confident and involved even if I'm not a performer. Mrs. Pace is to thank for this wonderful club experience! Additionally, while I've never had her as an English teacher, I've heard good things!
Mrs. Pace is an amazing drama club director! She always encourages everyone to do their best and helps us believe in ourselves, both on and off the stage. Her creativity, positivity, and support make drama club such a fun and welcoming place. She truly inspires me and makes a difference in everything she does!
Mrs pace is an amazing english teacher and theater director! She has taught me so much that i will use for the rest of my life. She puts her all into teaching and everyone appreciates all she does!!
I LOVE U MS PACE GOOD LUCK
Mrs. Pace is the best teacher I’ve ever had and drama teacher, she does everything to make everyone feel included and creates an amazing environment!!
Mrs. Pace is a phenomenal teacher and someone you can always count on someone that goes above and beyond for something as simple as helping you with a singular question on a quiz to giving you a safe space to talk when you need it she's the best teacher at DHS!
Chelsea was my student several years ago, and every day she was enthusiastic, kind, and hard-working. She has taken those qualities into her professional life and is one of the most passionate educators I know. She is an example to students and colleagues alike.
Chelsea Anderson Pace goes above and beyond for her students! Not only was she Teacher of the Year at D'Iberville High School last year, but she also consistently has improved test scores in her students. She accepts challenges and overcomes them grace and integrity. I attended one of the D'Iberville HS Drama Clubs productions last year, and at the end the students paid tribute to Mrs. Pace and told the crowd what she means to them- not a dry eye in the house, including me! Mrs. Pace's record (test scores) and the testimonies from her students- and there are MANY- speak volumes as to the kind of exceptional teacher she is!! She is much deserving of being nominated and recognized!
Mrs. Pace has been a lifesaver to my girls. My oldest graduated in May and when she was in 9th grade, she had a theater class. She always loved theater but this class left a lot to be desired. 10th grade rolled around and Mrs. Pace created a Drama Club. My girl fell in love with theater again! Mrs. Pace relates to all the children in theater like no other teacher Ive seen! She quenches their thirst for all things theater! She’s had musicals, dramatic plays, comedy’s, you name it! My younger daughter used to tag along for rehearsals but is much more of a “behind the scenes” kind of person. Last year, my youngest went from tech, to stage manager, to actually taking a part in the play at literally the last minute, because one of the other children was diagnosed with Covid, on opening day! My girl who was the “behind the scenes” kid, got on the stage and did a phenomenal job! Mrs Pace was in a tight spot and my youngest jumped in so the show could literally “go on”. She did it for Mrs Pace because she loves her that much! My kid who I NEVER thought would see on stage, killed it!
Chelsea Pace (I call her Mrs. Pace) is one of the most impactful teachers and life changer of all time at DHS. She values integrity and effort and trials-and-errors the most. Mrs. Pace actually changed me, from thinking that English is just a busy and heavy work class to a place to practice critical thinking and literacy skills (just like this comment I'm writing right now). I started reading books because of her through SSR and book project. She praises students of their work even if the work was not up to quality, moreover, she gives constructive criticisms which improve the students' self-esteem rather than lowering it. Her lessons and works she gave are engaging, easy to understand, clear and straight. Simple but effective. Repetitive but practical. Regardless of her academic side, she has a great personality. She approaches students with a relaxed, humorous but helpful and straight-to-the-point tone (she always eagers to help) while also being professional. Mrs. Pace's punishments are fair because she follows and enforces rules equally. To put simply, she is an exceptional and extraordinary teacher to have, not just at DHS, but anywhere in the United States; she deserves to be nominated to pay for her back pain of carrying responsibilities. Really exceptional and incredible. We stand with Mrs. Pace!
Mrs. Pace is one of the best teachers to be nominated for this award. She takes time out of her personal life to support her students in any way she is able to. When she wasn't paid for drama club she still showed up and made time despite what was happening outside of work already and never made us feel bad or let her emotions affect our shows. She has never been biased on a kid and has created a safe loving classroom for every student that walks in. Most students you see at her desk during her free time haven't even had her class before but talked to her once in the hall and felt safe ever since. She never shames any student's backgrounds and even has the respect of troubled kids most teachers choose to overlook. She takes time to push her students without making them feel ashamed and makes it a point that any student has the ability to progress. She has never made me feel left out and has always taken on me and my friends as if we were her own kids. She made me feel as if i could do anything if i tried hard enough when i truly was struggling personally.
To know Mrs. Pace is to know a dedicated, devoted teacher and role model who genuinely and compassionately cares for all of her students. She has a passionate desire to see her students succeed in the classroom, on the stage, and at life in general! Her fun-loving spirit, her encouraging nature, and her academic wisdom make for a top knotch leader who I am beyond grateful has been a mentor for my daughter throughout her high school tenure thus far. We love Mrs. Pace!!
I am honored to nominate Chelsea Pace for the 2025-2026 National Life Group’s LifeChanger of the Year Award. Chelsea’s work as an educator goes far beyond the classroom; she consistently demonstrates excellence, positivity, and leadership that profoundly impact the lives of her students and fellow educators.
Chelsea’s ability to connect with her students is exceptional. She recognizes that each child is unique and builds meaningful, personal relationships with them. These connections lay the foundation for her teaching and allow her to create an environment where students feel seen, heard, and empowered. She encourages them to remain curious, explore their potential, and enjoy the critical years of their education while preparing them for bright futures.
One of the greatest challenges students face is in their 10th grade year, and Chelsea embraces this responsibility with grace. She helps her students find balance in a constantly changing world, ensuring they have the confidence to face both their academic and personal challenges. Her dedication extends beyond teaching concepts; she helps her students build a foundation for lifelong success.
Chelsea’s leadership also reaches beyond the classroom. She is a mentor to her colleagues and generously shares her resources, strategies, and time to help others succeed. She believes in collective success, and her commitment to lifting up those around her exemplifies the spirit of this award. Chelsea is an educator who truly makes a difference, not only in her students’ lives but in the lives of everyone around her.
Chelsea is a perfect example of what the LifeChanger of the Year Award is designed to honor, and I am proud to nominate her for this well-deserved recognition.
Mrs Pace was my high school drama teacher, but in reality she was the most amazing person at that school. She and I became extremely close over my senior year because I became her teacher aid. We talked about the books we liked to read, what the other had for lunch, and any basic high school drama that was happening. But while I was her aid I saw just how many other students valued her opinions and how many other students respected her. She was always willing to listen to anyone who walked through her door and she always offered the best advice. She is a huge role model for me and my sister and I am so glad I had the opportunity to learn from her. Thank you Mrs. Pace.
Chelsea is so deserving of this award because of the time and love she puts into her students, working hard to make this ugly world a better place. She volunteers her free time to do everything she can to help her students and other people. The world would be a lot less lackluster without her, that’s for sure!
