Cindy Hagaman was nominated by her principal, Lisa Dodge.

Ms. Hagaman has made magic in her classroom every year with each group of students. Her lessons are cross-curricular, themed units that empower her fourth-grade students to be stewards and owners of their own education. She makes her classroom into a family where perceived failures are actually the most powerful learning experiences. Her classroom is an environment where failure is an option, but only if you learn and build upon it.

"Technology, science, group work, individual work, flexible seating, rubrics to guide learning, and experiential learning are only a handful of descriptors to encapsulate the experience, which is the highlight of every student in our school," said Dodge.
