Miss Pease in her robotics program provides an environment in which perseverance, teamwork, creativity, and problem solving are learned by the students. She educates the students on how to deal with failure, think critically, and help each other. Such lessons are much more than robotics and equip students to live. Her influence is still felt even among students who are no longer in the program such as myself. This is what every student wants his or her teacher to be and what every school hopes to have as a teacher for their school is, Miss Pease. Even her being herself is a way of changing the lives of her peers because of how inspirational and supportive miss pease is. She is committed to her students. This award would mean a lot to me and miss pease as it would be a demonstration of the difference she has made in the lives of so many students including me. Therefore Miss Pease deserves this recognition. She is a teacher, helpful educator, inspiring teacher, and a teacher not because of money, but because of the love of helping the student to become the best they can be. She is a wonderful teacher and I am very grateful to be taught and supported by her.

Mrs. Pease was my teacher during middle school, and she is by far, one of the few that care so deeply about her students. I can say for a fact that she has always gone above and beyond in helping her students. From making sure that her students always have access the basic classroom supplies they need in order to succeed in their learning, to creating a space where students freely express their opinions regarding what they want to learn more about. Mrs. Pease is truly always looking out for her students in and out of the classroom. Looking for scholarship opportunities, writing letters of recommendation for them, offering all kinds of workshops, leading a robotics club where students can participate in many competitions (such as regional ones), organizing fieldtrips, bringing guest speakers to her class and much more. I have been fortunate to personally see the impact she has on her students, not only through me, but through my younger brother as well. As a part of her robotics club and her gateway to technology class, my brother has found a new passion in robotics engineering and coding, gaining life-long skills and making new friends. Even after graduating and now being a second-year college student attending San Diego State University, she continues to be there for me. She is a teacher that is always present for her students and understands the importance of investing in the younger generations' future, in their goals and dreams. Mrs. Pease wants her students to know that they deserve to take up space, ask questions and be curious, and that they can accomplish whatever it is that they want. For this, and many other reasons, I believe Mrs. Pease to be more than qualified to recieve such a recognition as this one. She has all of my support and respect for everything she has done and continues to do for us, her students!

My name is Rosa Rodriguez, I am the mother of a student of Mrs. Pease. I will begin by saying that I am sure that Mrs. Pease is a great teacher, because I have seen how little by little the perspective on the school of my son has changed, because although he is a good student, he did not see anything exciting about attending school, but Mrs. Peace has motivated his passion for learning, especially about robotics. Undoubtedly, she is a great positive influence in the community and, of course, in the life of my son and not only that, it is for all the students who are fortunate enough to interact with her. Even more, I think she is an inspiration and example to follow for anyone. Mrs. Pease deserves this award more than anyone else, as the impact of her presence and teaching on the lives of her students goes beyond just her classroom, it expands and embraces her passion, vision and confidence in life. Mrs. Pease has all of my support!

Thank you for being an incredible Diversity Champion! Another well deserved recognition!

Loc D Posted 6 months ago

My name is Loc and I am a 7th grader and I’ve been in Mrs Pease’s Intro to Coding class in my 6th grade year, and the robotics club in my 6th grade year. I’m still in the robotics club and am in the Gateway to Tech class, and I’ll be explaining why I strongly believe Mrs Pease should be one of the few people who get the Life Changer of the Year award. Before I was in middle school, I was just a lazy person who wanted to be inside their house all day instead of going outside. I did nothing after school and all I really cared about was playing video games. However, in my 6th grade year, that changed, pushed by my brothers, I decided to join the Wilson Robotics Club, created by Mrs Pease and co ran with our art teacher Calimlim. With the robotics club, I fell in love with the activities, coding a robot, building one, and the best part, being with the people you care about. Activities by yourself can be fun, but the enjoyment is limited, however, the Robotics Club isn’t just a competitive team based all on winning tournaments, it’s a family, and without Mrs Pease, I wouldn’t have met some of the greatest friends I’ve made in my years in middle school. Mrs Pease is also a great inspiration, she is one of the most patient people I’ve ever met, she views situations not negatively, but also how the culprit got to the situation. I remember, one time, I accidentally dropped one of Mrs Pease’s macbooks we used for robotics, she wasn’t there, but she was notified by our other supervisor Mrs Calimim. I was a bit scared, because if someone broke a Macbook, obviously, the owner would be really mad, but after the weekend, when I was pulled out to talk to Mrs Pease about it, I was shocked. Mrs Pease talked in a calm demeanor and didn’t yell or scold me and make me feel bad about my actions. I was inspired, “How could someone not be mad at that?” I used to be a super short-tempered person, and I couldn’t sympathize with people whenever they made a mistake, however, this opened my eyes, as feeling how relieved someone could get when they did something wrong but didn’t get screamed at felt amazing. I began to change, I was able to sympathize with my friends more, and I was calmer when someone did something that normally would make me mad. Overall, just watching Mrs Pease and being around her was something that drove me to become a better person and friend. Mrs Pease doesn’t just inspire people with character traits or kindness, she also inspires people’s interests. Last year, in the robotics club, there were around 14 girls out of 37, which is around 1 third of the club, and robotics is a male dominated field, having around 93% of them being males, this is around 6 TIMES more. With the robotics club and her Gateway to Technology class, more women will be introduced to STEM, which leads to more female STEM workers and leaders, becoming an inspiration for girls who potentially want to go into a STEM related career. Furthermore, Mrs Pease provides an opportunity for hands-on experience for robotics (via the robotics club,) having us work with robots and metal, this also helps us with college opportunities as being in a robotics club, nonetheless an award-winning robotics club, giving us a higher acceptance rate and better opportunities. She created the robotics club and pays for necessary expenses in order to participate in tournaments. She also spends valuable time trying to find opportunities for us to improve our presentation skills or social skills. She spends lots of her important time which can be spent doing other activities to find us opportunities. She really cares about us and our well being, providing snacks out of her own pocket so that kids don’t go hungry. In conclusion, Mrs Pease, is a great inspiration, role model, and just a great person, which is why she should win the life changer of the year award.

It is my honor to write this letter of recommendation for Mrs. Khamphet Pease, a teacher and mentor whose influence has shaped my confidence, leadership, and decision to pursue a career in biomedical engineering. Mrs. Pease is an extraordinary educator whose impact extends far beyond the classroom. She empowers her students to lead, to create, and to believe they belong in any space, including STEAM. I first met Mrs. Pease when I joined her middle-school robotics club in sixth grade. At that time, the club was made up mostly of boys, and I often felt out of place. But Mrs. Pease saw potential in me from the start. She encouraged me to speak up, take initiative, and explore leadership roles. With her guidance, I became the first female president of the Wilson Robotics Club, which had already been running for about ten years—something I never imagined when I first joined. By the time I was ready to go to high school, the club had transformed: nearly 40 percent of our members were girls, a reflection of the welcoming and empowering environment Mrs. Pease created. Mrs. Pease constantly looked for ways to combine creativity and engineering. She challenged us to think beyond building robots and to consider sustainability and entrepreneurship. Under her mentorship, I helped launch a student-run business through our robotics team. We designed and printed shirts, mugs, tote bags, and other merchandise using the Cricut machinery that Mrs. Pease had helped us purchase through the kindness of donations and heat-press machines. Mrs. Pease taught me how to manage every step. Starting from design and pricing to responsible budgeting. The money we raised funded new parts, projects, and competition fees. That hands-on experience taught me real-world skills in business, teamwork, and project management—skills that continue to guide me today. She also made STEAM joyful. Mrs. Pease’s love for taro and taro milk tea became a running theme in our club. She also taught me how to make bread, as a snack for the robotics club after a while of hard work. Her humor and warmth reminded us that science could be fun, and those shared moments helped ignite my love for boba and cooking in general, which has since become one of my favorite simple joys. It was in those lighthearted times that I realized how deeply she cared about her students. She viewed us not just as learners, but as people in society. Beyond robotics, Mrs. Pease introduced us to SWE Next (the Society of Women Engineers’ youth program) and encouraged our club to get involved. Through SWE Next, I learned about women making real impacts in engineering and technology. She organized events, shared resources, and helped us connect with female engineers who became further role models for me. This exposure broadened my understanding of what was possible and strengthened my commitment to pursuing a future in STEAM. It was also through Mrs. Pease that I discovered biomedical engineering, a field I had never considered before meeting her. She introduced me to stories and innovations that showed how engineering can heal and improve lives. That realization completely changed the way I saw my future. Her mentorship continued long after middle school. When I applied for the Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program, she spent hours reviewing my essays, offering detailed feedback, and encouraging me every step of the way. Her belief in me helped me overcome self-doubt and strive for excellence. Today, the foundation Mrs. Pease built continues to shape who I am. I have since earned two associate degrees, one in Mechanical Engineering and one in Computer Science, and continue to mentor younger students, hoping to give them the same encouragement she gave me. I also had the opportunity to be a student at Vanderbilt University, where I helped design and build assistive technology for individuals with disabilities, which was later donated to the community of Nashville. Every accomplishment I’ve achieved traces back to Mrs. Pease’s mentorship with the curiosity, confidence, and compassion she instilled in me. Mrs. Pease is more than an educator. She is a role model, a leader, and, for me, a second mother. She has shown me what it means to lead with compassion and integrity. She gave me the confidence to walk into male-dominated spaces and the courage to open doors for others who come after me. She is truly the cornerstone of who I am today—a young woman committed to using science and technology to make a difference. It is with the utmost respect and gratitude that I recommend Mrs. Khamphet Pease for the National Life Group's Lifechanger of the Year, as she is one of the most inspiring, dedicated, and impactful teachers I have ever known. Her influence reaches far beyond the walls of her classroom, shaping students who go on to lead, innovate, and serve their communities. Just as she had once inspired me to do.

Richard T. Posted 6 months ago

I am a former student of Mrs. Pease, and I am honored to recommend her for Lifechanger of the Year. I am in 10th grade now and have known her since 6th grade, and throughout the years, I have witnessed the remarkable impact she has had on so many youngsters, who, like me, at times often lacked confidence or a sense of belonging. Upon entering her classroom, her encouragement, patience, and belief in her students’ potential helped us discover our strengths and pushed us to achieve more than we thought possible. Her encouragement gave me the confidence to take on challenges I would have otherwise avoided, and she inspired in me a genuine love for robotics and learning that has lasted well beyond her classroom. One of the moments that best reflects Mrs. Pease’s effectiveness as a teacher was during our first robotics competition. Even when my team faced setbacks, she never let frustration take over. Instead, she guided us to approach every obstacle with curiosity and wonder, rather than fear and chaos. One day, we felt completely overwhelmed when our robot malfunctioned just before our major presentation. Everything seemed to be going downhill, and many of us were frustrated and discouraged. Yet Mrs. Pease calmly encouraged us to analyze the problem, collaborate, and try again. That experience taught me that learning is not always about success, but rather about perseverance and problem-solving. Even at times when we lost, her focus was never about winning, it was always letting us know, the students, it is about what we learned from it. While the trophies were exciting, to be admired for our accomplishments and awed everywhere we went. The lessons Mrs. Pease emphasized went far beyond winning. The bigger picture was being able to learn and evaluate what went well versus what didn’t work well. What made her teaching so effective was her ability to turn mistakes into opportunities for growth. She created a classroom environment where students felt safe to experiment, fail, and try again. Her lessons were never limited to the curriculum; she constantly found ways to connect what we were learning to real-world skills, helping us see the purpose behind every project and discussion. It was never truly about the grade, rather, the greatest value was the knowledge, the kind of knowledge that no one else can take from you. Beyond the classroom, her dedication extends to every student she teaches. She has invested countless hours supporting students through the Wilson Robotics Club and STEM initiatives, like Girls in STEM, always encouraging us to take on challenges and believe in our abilities. I remember a particularly difficult day when I felt completely overwhelmed and unable to manage my team. I started crying and breaking down, unsure how to help everyone stay focused, let alone keep up with everything myself. Mrs. Pease calmly came over, helped me take a step back, and guided me through strategies to settle myself and get my team back on track. With her support, I was able to regain my composure, organize my team, and approach the challenges ahead with confidence. It was also because of this that I learned how to lean more on people and ask for help when I needed it. As someone who did not know where to begin, Mrs. Pease’s actions meant far more than what words could express. Moments like these taught me the value of having a mentor who truly believes in her students and supports them through every struggle, day and night. Her support in situations like mine showed that her commitment extends far beyond academics and that she invests deeply in the growth of her students both now and their futures. Over the years, her guidance has shaped me into a more confident, resilient, and curious person. Her lessons have stayed with me, not only in academics but also in how I approach challenges in life mentally and critically. She taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of asking for help when necessary, and how to tackle problems with both creativity and patience. Because of her mentorship, I can say with confidence that she has drastically shaped who I am for the better, instilling a growth mindset and skills necessary to navigate challenges and succeed in today’s world.

I got accepted into Aaron Price. It was all because of you. I’m acknowledged at school because of you. I’m acknowledged at school because of my skill set. It was all because of you. I push myself every day and don’t waste any opportunities; it was all because of you. I am happy because of you. I never really take the time to sit down in silence and reflect on my life. My successes have pushed me so far, yet I forgot where it all started. You’ve provided an unbelievable amount of resources and love to not just me but to all your students. You are the true definition of education because I once thought it was a myth. You are not an ordinary teacher; you are extraordinary. I take the time to write this to you because I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I pray that you continue to do what you are passionate about, that you’re in good health, and that you’ll find a way to surpass your obstacles. Students don’t realize how lucky they are to have you, not just as a teacher but as a person as well.

Dear Mrs. Pease, you are the best teacher in the world and you give us so many opportunities to people who couldn’t obtain these kinds of opportunities.

Jesus T Posted 6 months ago

It is my pleasure to recommend Miss Pease to this award. She is not just a superior teacher, but one of the most powerful individuals I have ever encountered during my studying experiences. The influence of Miss Pease extends much further than robotics, or grades, or competitions which she has molded me into the person I am today, as a student. ever since the first day of school, when I stepped into fifth period into my tech class Miss Pease made me feel welcomed in a way that I could have never imagined I have never encountered in any other teacher. She even took the time to get to know who I was and that made me feel welcomed despite me still being New. Miss Pease’s kindness could never be forgotten. Even to this day, she is the best teacher that I have ever had. Though I no longer am a part of robotics, Miss Pease does not treat me differently  she never fails to make me feel appreciated. She welcomes me, asks me about my break and what I did over the weekends and she also keeps on encouraging me. That might even pass as a small gesture but it says a lot about the kind of a person she is. She is not just interested in the students who are in her program she is very much interested in all the students she has ever taught. She does not just stop supporting once a lesson or an activity is over. Miss Pease is a rare one of a kind teacher, she can make students work harder and believe that they can achieve something. Without her, I really do not believe that I would go as far as I do at school. She made me strive to improve and be a better person academically and financially and in all types of ways. she made me feel that I could do more. She sets the example and is strict and demanding of students at the same time compassionate and understanding. Her story is one of the most inspiring things about Miss Pease. She does not hide anything about her origin and the struggles she went through and that makes her highly motivating. She demonstrates to students that your past does not make your future. It is inspiring to see a person who was raised with nothing much and achieved a life doing what she really loves to do, her experience shows that money does not make one successful, but rather how a person carries themselves. Miss Pease is not a teacher because she wants to be recognized or to earn any money. She is a teacher because she enjoys her job. This is shown in the time she provides, and the way in which she relates with the students. She has discovered something she loves to do and not even money can take away the satisfaction she derives in helping students develop. Such passion is contagious it makes students feel more confident and stronger in themselves so they can work harder and believe that learning has some sense.

Mrs.Pease has been a great adult in my life. I’m so thankful I was a student of hers for 3 years. Her robotics club gave me exposure to new things. I was able to learn how to build and code which made my love for computer science grow. I was able to build confidence because of her. I was always an introverted person, but she helped me with my public speaking skills which gave me the courage to run for president for the robotics club. She genuinely cares for her students, and we’re her top priority. She sacrifices a lot of her time so we can get better. I’m so glad to have her in my life.

Mrs. Pease has made a profound impact on my academic STEAM journey. From orchestrating five to seven robotics teams per year. To then sending her robotics club students to a different country, Tokyo, Japan, to furthermore experience futuristic robotics in an advance city. I am very grateful to have Mrs. Pease as a role model and mentor.

Phet Pease exemplifies what it means to be an exemplary teacher. Choosing to teach in the neighborhood she grew up in, Phet advocates for opportunities, resources, and experiences that change the lives of every student that she encounters. Through her robotics club, Phet encourages young women to find their places in STEM and to remember how important their voices are as inventors, engineers, and more. She teaches them to find and follow their passions, to work hard to achieve their dreams, and to be resilient when things fall apart. Phet is also an incredible collaborator. I have been lucky enough to work with her on project based learning endeavors and appreciate the way she is always willing to try new things for the good of her students. She has also been featured on podcasts and has been invited to speak at many conferences. It is clear to me that Phet is a life-changer because her students return time and time again to see her and share their successes. Phet prepares our students for the futures that they dream of, and I feel so lucky to be able to teacher and learn alongside her.

Ms. Pease was my middle school teacher for intro to tech and she helped me learn how to make games and how to speak up from the presentations she assigns us for school. She also runs a robotics club at that middle school and I’ve committed to it for 3 years, assisting and observing my coding while also giving me advice and help. She is the best teacher ever she is also my favorite teacher of all time. Not only does she guide you she also takes us to fun places as a treat such as Disney land! I wish she was my teacher forever, she knows more than coding and helped me in my other classes. I will always be grateful and thank you Ms. Pease.

Phet Pease is a "life changer" in so many ways. To fellow STEM teachers she is the regional "Go to" expert resource and "Cheer Leader" for intimidating and daunting fields such as robotics and computer science. To students, she is described as their "hero", working with them every school day until 5:00pm (sometimes later when she is known to provide them with meals) and on Saturdays from 8:00am until 12;00noon. Other weekends she is with them all day for robotics scrimmages and competitions. Last summer she organized a "life changing" STEM Tour of Japan for 5 of her Robotics Club students. This summer it is anticipated to be for 21 of her students for a STEM Tour of Korea -- and this is for a resource limited neighborhood school. Yes, we are appreciative of her many recognitions, but what we love about her is the glue that binds the school community together: Her HEART.

Your a really good teacher since you try to help students as much as possible and actully look out for the grades they have in the class its also pretty great as if we are mainly done with our work we can 3D Print get snacks from the vending machine and other things the fact that we have tons of computers and things in this class that are normally very expensive that we have access too we learn things besides coding aswell that can be a help in real life such as The Material stuff and Alloys such as making copper your honestly a great teacher and im not really sure what else to say but I think you deserve the Life Changer Of The Year reward.

John Thai Posted 7 months ago

I would support your nomination for the life changer of the year because over the last year and a half of being in your class. I have learned a lot from coding, I have also been participating in the robotics club. In that club I have also learned a lot about robotics and I have enjoyed all of the trips that I went with you.

Tai Posted 7 months ago

I would like Ms Pease to nominated because she always gives the money back to us. She also rewards us if she wins and she is a very good teacher. I learned a lot from her during my school year and her teachings will help my life a lot. She has been giving us a lot of advanced equipment. If she wins she will buy more advanced equipment for us to study with.

Mrs Pease is a amazing teacher, when I first started middle school and got Coding as an elective I was nervous, I thought for sure that I was gonna fail that class. But I found out that I am pretty good at programing and stuff along those lines. I will be forever grateful to have her as a teacher.

Zaynab Posted 7 months ago

I think that Ms.Pease is a really good teacher because she's really nice and her class is really fun and she lets us 3d print things and she also lets us have a passion project Friday's where we get to cook and document something fun like soccer ect , and she also make learning really fun and every time we learn something in her class its not boring , and even last year she threw us pizza parties and also rewards us sometimes, so I think she should get the award.

Jonathan T Posted 7 months ago

Ms. Pease should be nominated for life changer of the year because she thought me how to use a 3D printer. I was addicted when I printed my first thing. I now like to print stuff, and I want one for Christmas just because Ms. Pease taught me a single lesson. Also, one job in the future I want to be in the future is to either build 3D printers or make a business selling them. She also taught me how to code with blocks, which I actually started to plan to make my whole company make cheap games for people who want a cheap option.

Johnny P Posted 7 months ago

I support Mrs. Pease for Life Changer of the year because she had provided multiple opportunities for other people to do what they want to do and the majority of the students she had taught had succeeded in these opportunities. All of the students, counting straight A's, or students who think they can't do anything for themselves, had actually succeeded something from the outcome of her education.

Matthew Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease should be nominated for her life changer of the year because she taught me how to use 3D printing. Also she should be nominated for her life changer of the year because she taught be how to code robot. When I was in 6th grade I went to robotics and I learned how to code. She taught me how to code the botball robots and FLL or known as First lego league robots. I am so amazed of her amazing teaching and I hope you continue changing people live because of your learning pathway.

Nguyen Posted 7 months ago

I would support you all cost, your a beautiful and good teacher, I used to have no clue on what my future job is, now I know my future job and I actually learned a lot from you, with all the information you taught me, I will gladly use it to help you and everyone else. You taught me how to code, you taught me how to cook, you taught me about material science, you taught me how to 3D print. You taught me everything in life I know ima use it for my future job. I would never forget about my first teacher that actually taught me useful stuff. Everything you taught can changed everyone's life.

Leonardo G Posted 7 months ago

I support your nomination for Life Changer of the year you give us a lot of opportunity's and set us up for life. You teached me 3d printing, how to cook, coding, even how to grow copper. Your class has been the class ive had for the last 3 grades you've sent people to college for free. You have even taken your students to Japan all the students in your class are good and when you teach its so easy to follow. This is why I think Mrs Pease should be Life Changer of the year.

Yakko Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. pease gives us many opportunities and chances to make up our work and to change ourselves and whenever she gets money from an reward she gives it to her students and none of it goes to her which explains alot about her and she works very very hard to keep her class as stable as it can.

Dylan Posted 7 months ago

I would support you for nomination of Life Changer is because you have shown me so much over the 3 years of being in your class, I'm thanking you for all of the time's you shown others new things, I always wonder what would my future career be, But now I want to become a engineer because of you. I was amazed of all of the things I learned, like building, coding, cooking, this has help me a lot and It will until I passed away. I've been cooking more for my family because of you, I've been helping building stuff because of you. Thank you for everything.

Mrs. Pease is a great teacher who is always going out of her way to give us, her students, opportunities to learn in way that are really entertaining and help us learn interactively. Her class is really impactful in many students lives because she has things like robotics club, which teach kids a lot about technology and creativity with it. She deserves this award because she is a really caring, creative, and respectful teacher.

Derek Posted 7 months ago

I've had many different teachers as a student going through my academic journey, but none have quite impacted me like Mrs.Pease. Mrs. Pease's life-changing contributions to other students and me can't go unnoticed. She provides scholarships and opportunities of a lifetime. For example, a trip this year to South Korea, with the core focus of exposing us to tech that we have never seen. Donations go back to us students; if that's not enough money, she uses her personal money to buy equipment for us. As a teacher, she is inspirational, respectful, and considerate of us and our time. This isn't even the surface of it. All of my time spent in that class, I've never felt the urge to leave or really go anywhere else; the learning is clear and concentrated. To truly understand the things Mrs. Pease does for her students, you have to be in that classroom as a student. To put everything short, Mrs. Pease is a great teacher; she provides her students with opportunities of every size, and actually cares about her students and their academic journey.

Mateo Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is the #1 best coding teacher I will ever have, and that's 100% true. I'll never have a better teacher over than Mrs. Pease. She's really nice, and helps us when we need it, teaches us perfectly so we can understand really well and much more!

Megan Posted 7 months ago

I support Mrs. Pease nomination because she has done a lot for the students. One of the things that she has done for the students is that she has like a little shop were she sells stuff and she doesn't keeps the money she earns, she uses the money to help students. Mrs. Pease also teach me and other students a lot this year, thanks to her I learned how events work and how to use the loop.

Tiffany Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is one of my most favorite teachers at Wilson. She's really nice and helps us out when she can. Doesn't matter if you're one of her students, a teacher, or even a student that goes to our school! She helps us a lot and puts in a lot of hard work in her job. One of my favorite things to do in that class is something called Passion Project. I love it cause on Friday you could do whatever you want. I learned that I like to bake and make cookies cause during passion projects I made some friends like Daniel, Sarah, Coral, and Aranza! It helped me with my creativity when I realized I really like to bake and make stuff. There's a bunch of stuff I like in that class but that's just one of the stuff that I love!

Coral Posted 7 months ago

This is my first year at Wilson in robotics and I had great experiences with Mrs. Pease, She's My favorite teacher here at Wilson and she's very kind. Im going to South Korea 2026 with her and Costa Rica 2027 with her also. I love that she hosts a shop after school with snacks! She does great things in my class. Overall She's a very great teacher!

Alika Posted 7 months ago

I'm really glad I got to be in Gateway to Tech even though it was my last option. I've heard that the class is fun and so are the field trips. Im grateful to meet Ms. Pease because she is really kind and doesn't get mad easily. She gives us at least a week to cath up with our assignments which I'm grateful for because I want my grade up. Ms. Pease really cares about her students and even though I've been knowing her for 4 months she is my favorite teacher.

Amiel Posted 7 months ago

My teacher Mrs. Pease has helped me inprove in many different skills hat i will need in life. She gives us opportunities like coding and printing. Se showed us how to type without looking at the key board and she has gaven us a lot of opportunities to creat programs and make passion projects.

Ezekiel M Posted 7 months ago

I know that she deserves Life Changer of the year because one she is an amazing teacher. She does fun field trips and she helps reduce the cost of the trip for students for them just helping out. Number two she always is thinking about the students if she wins the money she is going to donate it to her club and class. Also she teaches fun lessons like how to make a sticker. In addition she taught us how to code and 3d print. Also on Fridays we can learn whatever we want.

Miah Posted 7 months ago

I think ms pease should get award for life change of the year because she uses her time in robotics even when she is exhausted she still uses her free time helping students and helping her students learn more about coding. She taught us how to make stickers and how to code in code.org she helps us by teaching us. She made us t-shirts, she helped us to learn how to code the robots, and she taught us how to put designs on the t-shirts, she encouraged us to not give up on what we are doing and if we are stuck she helps us, she is my biggest supporter, she also backed the best cookies I ever tasted.

2023, my first year in Wilson Middle School. I still remember the nervous feeling I felt in my stomach when I walked inside the gates. The only people I knew out of the whole school were my friends from my elementary school, other than that I felt alone and scared. I was shy and couldn’t interact with my peers. I truly felt like I didn’t belong. That was until I was familiar with Mrs. Pease’s class. My first year with her, I worked hard and I was able to understand assignments from her amazing teaching lessons. I was also able to make my closest friends at the time in that class. She taught me how to have an organized routine because we would always do 10 minutes of learning how to touch-type at the beginning of her class. I can now say that learning that skill definitely comes in handy. She taught me creativity and introduced my passion in robotics and STEM. My first year was also the year I joined her robotics club. I learned how to use coding that real adults use and how to overcome problems and find solutions working in groups. I was getting introduced to public speaking, which was something I was deadly afraid of. In Robotics I was constantly inspired and amazed by my upperclassmen. They would speak so confidently like they knew what they were doing at all times. I wanted to be just like them. Now it was my second year at Wilson, and of course I enrolled to be in her class again. This year was different than last year. We did the same amount of coding and it was all familiar but we were given presentations to do in front of the class, I was not used to this. I remember my first presentation in her class and compared to how freely I’m able to speak now, I know I’ve improved a lot. The second presentation I was able to do in a group, which helped boost my confidence. I was able to engage in the audience and change my public speaking skills for the better. Mrs. Pease taught me a lot about overcoming the fear of public speaking, and for that I am so grateful. Besides the topic of public speaking, she was the most anti-bully teacher I know to this day. She would always tell her classes about how strict she was about bullying. I remember this one story–in one of her old classes, a kid was leaning back in his chair and fell down but absolutely no one laughed beside the boy who fell himself. From then on I knew that bullying and joking around with one another in a rude way isn’t tolerable. I honestly loved how strict Mrs. Pease was to that rule too, it made me feel way more comfortable in her class. I trusted her so much that I knew I could tell her anything if I did feel uncomfortable in her class. It was now the beginning of eighth grade. And to no surprise–I joined her class again. This year I knew that we were going to be doing a lot of work, important, hard, work. So I strived to have the best grade I can, but there was a major problem–procrastination. I remember Mrs. Pease once showed my class a TED talk about a procrastination monster last year or in 6th grade. At the time, I didn’t think this would happen to me, but oh boy was I wrong. However, with the important life lessons that Mrs. Pease teaches, I’ve been overcoming it. And when I do work, I work hard. I absolutely push myself to do the best I possibly can. Whenever I get praise from Mrs. Pease, I feel really proud of myself. It feels like: “Wow, I really did a good job. My hard work actually paid off.” It always feels different when it comes from Mrs. Pease too, it’s because I know she’s being very sincere. She has stated multiple times before that she will tell you if your work needs improvement or not. For that I admire her honesty so much. Sometimes it even feels like I could do anything in the world, I can accomplish any problem, finish any assignment. It might be a few words to others, but when it’s from Mrs. Pease, it feels like I just gained superpowers. Mrs. Pease has become one of my teachers that I could tell her anything I’m feeling, and knowing she’ll understand. I know she wants what's best for her students, that’s why I hope to stay in touch after middle school so I could always be reminded of who was such an important part in my success. I will be forever grateful for Mrs. Pease, and if I could, I’d choose her as my teacher year after year, after year.

Ms pease should get the award because she is very nice and helpful in class and teaches us new stuff and it's really helpful. She is one of the nicest teacher in the school and the most coolest. She provides a lot for us she buys us stuff for the class and the projects are really cool. She makes its possible for school trips and food like an example for costa rica and south korea. So she should really get nominated.

Jonathan G Posted 7 months ago

I believe Ms pease should win the life changer of the year because she is the best and coolest teacher in the school and im not saying that because she got nominated im saying this becuse I believe she should win shes very helpful and nice she never wants her students failing she trys to do the most she can do to help her students not fail her class and she also allows us to do stuff not many teachers would let us do she helps others a lot with coding and letting us use 3D printers for free and she has provided a lot for us like letting us play games during lunch only in her class we got to do a lot of fun stuff aswell in this class and she even supports her coding class by selling stuff in her class after school and taking them to field trips like disney land. I hope she wins as well because she is hardworking and the nicest teacher i Know.

Emilio Posted 7 months ago

ms. pease is one of the best teachers i have shes willing to spend money for our class. She has have to deal with our class for a really long time and she has made them smarter and more of a quick things. I have learned how to code robots and ive been able to learned so much and have so much chances for new things with her.

well what I think of mrs. pease we'll her class I have learn lot of things in her class that helps understanding the life around us give us opportunities in our life and help us understand carers more with her well widen lessons and with a positive attuned the apporunites I will be forever grateful for for the opportunity for space camp I will forever be in your debt the experience will forever be a remembrance of your hard work and even if may schools want to have you and your work you stay with us our school and student are so happy that you stay with your work you have shown us how hard working you are so thank you Mrs.pease for everything

A.Z. Posted 7 months ago

My life changed when I joined this class because every time we do a lesson or anything like that I would feel seen. I love that Mrs.pease pays attention to all her students because you never know what is happening at someones home and I think that she thinks that even if they are a bad student a good student or even the worst she respects them. I also love this class because mrs pease lets us be creative and I love that because I don't think there Is any other class that lets you be as creative as you can be in this class.my life as been better because I used to do a lot of bad stuff I can not say but after joining this class I felt like she has showed me that life passes fast and you don't have enough time to be behaving like that, so that's why I nominate Mrs.pease for life changer of the year.

Esther Posted 7 months ago

I support Mrs. Pease's nomination for Life Changer of the Year because she works so hard to help all of her students and even stays late for her kids in robotics. She's willing to stay after and before school just so she can help her students succeed. She tries her best all the time for her kids. She spends many hours helping kids and other people. Whenever I see her, I always see her being so positive and so kind. Another reason why I think she really deserves this nomination is because she gives her students opportunities to get scholarships and also she would let all her kids see what they like and what they want to do during Passion Projects. She teaches robotics which is a really nice opportunity for kids to learn how to work with robots and meet new people. One last thing is that she always help kids whenever they feel stressed or nervous and tries to help make sure they're okay.

Ava Posted 7 months ago

I support Ms. Pease for being nominated Life Changer of the Year, because I love to do her code.org lessons she assigns and the passion project days. She is very fun and strict at the same time. She is one of my favorite teachers and she is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN!!!!!!! I love how she is kind to other students and I love to code when she's around. I really like how she teaches us and I can say she is so not Passé ( which means she is NOT uncool or out of date!) I really feel like she deserves this award because she is very very very very very very very very fun. I am glad I am in her class. Passion Project is fun especially when I get to share some of the food I made with her. Like when I made Kale chips for some of the students and Ms. Pease. The Code.org lessons teach us about coding and about how to make a good program. You code with blocks to tell the sprite hat to do, and you can also code music with blocks. Ms. Pease has a vending machine with healthy snacks and at the end of the day she will sell the unhealthy snacks. I especially love typing.com because you learn how to touch type efficiently. I am already on the intermediate level of typing thanks to practice. I love how Ms. Pease supports the students and never lets them give up. I hope Ms. Pease wins this award, because she will not keep the prize money to herself. She gives it to the school so they can buy more school supplies for us students. I would love to support her because her class is fun and its not only the learning, its being with Ms. Pease.

Why I say that the Life Changer of the year goes to Mrs. pease is because she's a really sweet, kind, loving, thoughtful, creative, and understandable teacher. The first reason why I say that Mrs.Pease should get the Life Changer of the year is because when a student is having a hard time with something and it effects what they are doing in campus, they can talk to Mrs.Pease about it and as the teacher she is she would understand them and she will try her hardest to help the student with what they are struggling with. the second reason why I say that Mrs.Pease would get the Life Changer of the year is because when a student is going something like bullying, something going on at home, cyber bullying, body shamed, and all kind of harassment and they don't trust another teacher or to scared to talk about it they can talk to Mrs. pease. I know Mrs. pease will understand what they are going through. For instance, Mrs.Pease helped a lot with our school. She understood everything a student has ever told her, she would understand! Finally, I say that Mrs.Pease should get Life Changer of the year because Mrs. Pease can solve problems even if she doesn't get it she will try as hard as she can and wont give up just to help that one student and this is why I say that Mrs.Pease should get Life Changer of the year!

John O Posted 7 months ago

i would support mrs. pease because she is a really nice teacher and she is deserved to have this award and she done alot for us in this class with fun activities and great teaching and because of her help she watched all of her students go to be successful and make a great life because of her help and she helped them go up in that level and she continues to make that happened for us she helps a lot of students with her great teaching and her powerful learning to help those students reach high level in life so thats why mrs. pease deserves this award.

Alysson L Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is a very great teacher, she helps us a lot. Ive learned so many things from her teaching and so have my classmates. She is always helping others out and she wins so many awards. Im supporting her in this because I know how much this award means to her. Mrs. Pease doesn't use the money she gets on herself she uses it for her club and students, and she even take money out of her pockets so she can buy her classes wonderful things. Im very glad she is our teacher because she teaches us very much.

Nawal Posted 7 months ago

I think ms pease should get the award for life changer of the year because she is a great person, she helped me find my career and what I want to do in life by making a robotics club. ever since I was little I always wondered what I will do as a career and what was my passion, I didn't really have a passion for anything until I reached middle school and ms pease introduced robotics club to me, she helped us with everything from expenses for robotics tournaments which reaches up to $3000 per team, to all the support someone would need. she is my biggest supporter and helped me and still is helping me and when we have robotics tournaments she stays late to help the students even when she is tired and exhausted. she taught us how to code robots, when I had no experience, and when we had a robotics scrimmage I accidentally broke our robot the day before and she stayed late with me so I could rebuild the robot and the next day in the scrimmage we won a award thanks to her, and she supports us even when we have little to no achievements she celebrates with us. the other day we had a FLL regionals and we scored right behind last place on the robot missions and she was so happy that we got into the regionals and she encouraged us that as long as we learned something it is very good. and if I where to write everything she does and did for us I would have to be going on forever. and this is why I think ms pease should get the Life changer award.

Ms. Pease, as you can see from her accomplishments listed in her profile, is a tremendous asset to Wilson Middle School and the community at large. She grew up in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego. This is a community of newcomers to America and Ms. Pease was a newcomer herself. She attended Central Elementary and Wilson Middle School here in City Heights as a young girl and returned to Wilson Middle School as a teacher. Unlike many others who achieve academic success and then leave the community where students of new commers and of poverty live, she returned. It is these students, in the community Ms. Pease came from, whose lives have been changed. Many of her students have gone on to be successful in high school, in the work force, and in the academic arena. Our students and community are better for her presence.

Adrian D Posted 7 months ago

I truly believe that Ms. Pease should be nominated for the Life Changer award. Ever since I was a child, I have always found technology amazing, especially robots. This amazement followed me to middle school, where I met Ms. Pease, who was my coding teacher. She showed me the world of all types of tech, from coding to 3d printing, and eventually she introduced me to robotics, and I have loved it since. Throughout the years, I have grown and learn from Ms. Pease, and in my last year of middle school, I will learning and grow to one day be as wise as Ms.Pease; she is a great mentor and an amazing teacher and has changed my life forever

Mya W Posted 7 months ago

Ms. Pease deserves to be supported. She has supported her students without hesitation. She loves her students very much, and I'm proud to be in her class this year. Her class is not only entertaining but also fun. She deserves to be supported more than anything, and there is a reason she was nominated. She has given us many fun things to do, like fun field trips, but she doesn't just give them out; she works with us to make us earn them. She's also very kind and respectful, which is why I would be supporting Ms. Pease.

Jayden V Posted 7 months ago

Mrs.Pease is a great teacher. She really cares about her students. She is really patient with us. She loves her job and the students she gets to teach, she takes kids on trips around the world to different places, and it is amazing because most of them are one in a lifetime trips. She cares about students education and wants every student to succeed in life. I know that she is not doing this for the money but for her students. She likes to treat us with different gifts, so I really like her. She cheers us up when we are down and cares about our life outside of school. But like I said I really like her, and she is just amazing.

Isabella V Posted 7 months ago

I am going to tell you this right from my heart. Mrs. Pease has been the best teacher ever! Mrs. Pease is kind, caring thoughtful, and the best multitasker. Mrs.pease is VERY smart she has taught math, science, a Gateway to tech class, and even started a robotics club. Since the first day of school Mrs. Pease has been the best role model a person could ask for. If I'm thankful for anyone it has to be Mrs.Pease. Thank you for everything Mrs. Pease.

Fernando T Posted 7 months ago

Ms. Pease is the best teacher in my opinion. She is the most talented and kindest teacher that I have ever seen in my life so far, it's surprising how much Ms. Pease cares for what she does, she is very compassionate when she's teaching. She taught me how to 3D print when I was confused and was very helpful. She is always nice to her students and caring about their safety. She always gives us hard work, but its fair, considering that she has to deal with a bunch of students, she is always trying to make our day better. I wonder how hard she worked to get all her certificates and trophies, but when I think about it, I remember that she worked her way to become one of the most famous teachers in all of California. Being a teacher must be hard, but Ms. Pease makes sure we get a good education.

Noah R Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is a one of a kind teacher, she's not just telling us what to do, and giving us busy work like some teachers do, her lessons have meaning, and her style of teaching is amazing, and she helped grow my love for coding and technology. Further more, she makes sure no-one has a bad grade in her class and pushes people who do have low grades, to go beyond what they've done in the past, and to do your best. She's always doing fundraisers to have her students go on field trips or get her students equipment, and even though she was never required to do any of this she still does, and if she wanted to she could move to a different school, and be making more money, but she doesn't, because she's loyal to her community. Mrs. Pease inspires her students to do what they love, and almost every Friday we get to do passion projects which allow us to do basically anything we see our mind to, coding, cooking, printing, and these things aren't things you learn normally, the things we learn in this class are way ahead of what you would expect when you think of a technology class.

Alexander R Posted 7 months ago

Ms Pease really cares about the kids that she teaches. She loves her job, she takes us around the world with the different verity of field trips. She is patient with us even when we act dumb. She fixes/mold us into a good person. She is not doing this for the money, she does this for the kids. She gives us things such as gift cards and job ideas for the future head. She is a great teacher with a open mind, helping us when we are stuck, helping us up when we are down, and when we try to accomplish a goal she cheers for us.She really cares about us and our education.

Pablo O Posted 7 months ago

I think ms.pease is a wonderful and smart teacher because she's always on our back trying to get us to learn something new like 3d printing, material science, and more. I think ms.pease is really nice and kind because when we need help she always helps us she's always talking with us and commenting about stuff. I think ms.pease Is really demonstration if that's even a word because we do lots of had activities like making copper and writing on paper and making observations. Overall she's my favorate and life changer teacher.

John N Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is a patient, kind, and understanding person. She taught me a lot of things. I've never been interested in her class, I really wanted to leave, but her excellent teaching made me change my mind. Her class is fun, but still, you learn a lot of things. Not to mention, she's a creative person. I didn't know I would be interested in STEM this much. Her creative ways of teaching are very ethical. She is a smart person, I didn't expect her to be so intelligent, she taught us how to make materials. I am so grateful to be in her class.

David N Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease taught me about how I can buy things while saving money and how important it is to use your credit card safely. Now I can know a little bit on how to save money in the future.

Isaiah M Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is a very nice teacher and lets us to very good things like 3d print, bake, and other things. She even bakes us cookies whenever we do something good, she also takes us on field trips as well l as the other very fun field trips off us going to disneyland and even out of this country. For her teaching she definitely explains it well and when we need help she helps us straight away and gives us a step by step on what to do. She's also a fun person to have a teacher as because what we do is very fun and interesting like 3d printing and making copper.

I'm really glad i got Gateway to Tech 2 years in a row because i really do love Mrs. Pease she has given my opportunities that no one has ever gotten. She really does care about our grades and making sure that we succeed. She's my favorite teacher because i feel like she really cares about our studies. Out of all my classes i feel like i actually learn in this class and what she teaches will help us later in life.

Khamphet Pease is an outstanding educator who fosters community and positive relationships within her classroom. She cares about her students and will go to great lengths to get them to succeed. If a student is habitually late, she'll go to their house and pick them up (with parent permission, of course) so they can get to school on time. She is constantly planning unique field trip experiences that connect classroom learning to reality. In the last couple months, students have been to the Xstem lab and a local landfill. Last year, Khamphet organized a trip to Japan for her students and this year she's taking a group to South Korea! Khamphet is at a school site that serves low income students. These families cannot afford to send their kids abroad, so Khamphet has the students fundraise all year long. The most recent fundraiser was printing school t-shirts. This allowed students to practice their screen printing skills while promoting school spirit! I can't think of anyone else more deserving of this award!!

Thuan Posted 7 months ago

Mrs Pease is a good teacher. She let us to do a lot of fun stuff like 3D printing, passion project, and more. She also help us out when we struggle with something. For example, you don't know english, you are a vietnamese person, she will let you sit with someone who know vietnamese too, so they can help you. Overall, Mrs pease is a very nice and good teacher, so you should support her.

Ray K Posted 7 months ago

Mrs Pease is a very good teacher, as a matter of fact, she is the best STEM teacher I've ever had. It is because some teachers in STEM might not do the hands-on activity we do. Like making copper and 3D printing, I really love doing experiments involving Material Science. 3D printing can be quite challenging to learn, but Mrs. Pease teaches everyone things that we do not know. For a couple of months I've been here, I see that Mrs Pease is one of the best teachers in terms of learning and teaching. I think whoever nominated Mrs Pease chose the right teacher or person.

Arwen Posted 7 months ago

I think Mrs. Pease is an amazing teacher, she has taught me so many things like how to 3D print and how to grow copper. I think her classes are very fun and definitely challenging but in a good way and she pushes us to do our best in her class. She is patient and helps you if you don't understand something and I think she is a Life Changer!!!!!

Christian H Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease is very nice and a very good teacher. People had told her to change schools but she says she loves this school and the students are always on task. She bakes chocolate chip cookies for her class if they are good and gain each letter of the word cookie.

Angel G Posted 7 months ago

Mrs. Pease Is such a great teacher she is a very kind person very caring and she is really patient with the kids in her class she taught me how to 3d print and other stuff. I can't believe that I have a teacher that is on google she has won many awards for being such a great teacher. And she does not care about money she cares about her students more because she wants them to be smart and to have fun. Mrs. Pease gives us a image in our mind that she works hard for her students and so they can have a fun learning space.

Itzel G Posted 7 months ago

I know Mrs. Pease should get the Life Changer award because she has changed mine. I have been in her class for two years, and I have learned so much. She isn't just a really good teacher, but a really good person. She gives us great opportunities for learning things that others don't until high school or even college. She is also a very intelligent person who communicates with people around the world to educate other teachers about technology. Mrs. Pease is a smart, kind, and important person not only to the school but also to the students. She actually cares about us, and that we get taught, the lessons are not only fun, but educational, and not only for school, but for real-life situations. Mrs. Pease goes out of her way to make field trips even if it is expensive because she does not care about the money but about the students. I am so glad she teaches at this school. I learned so many things about STEM, it has really changed me as a person. Not only is Mrs. Pease helpful, but she is a caring, kind, and intelligent person, and she uses her knowledge for good.

Mrs. Pease truly cares about her students and pushes us to do our best. She doesn’t just teach the subject she makes sure we understand it and is always willing to explain things in different ways until we get it. She encourages us when we’re struggling and celebrates our successes, even the small ones. Mrs. Pease makes the classroom feel safe and welcoming, and she treats everyone with respect. She has helped me become more confident in my work and in myself, and I know she has done the same for many other students. She deserves this award because she makes a real difference in our lives every day.

Khamphet Pease is not only an exceptional teacher, she is a visionary leader in STEM education. Through her passion, expertise, and relentless dedication, she founded our award-winning after-school robotics program and transformed our STEM pathways. Her work has opened doors for students from underrepresented and lower-socioeconomic backgrounds, giving them the confidence, skills, and opportunities to excel in fields they may never have imagined. Mrs. Pease firmly believes that “When students are given the same opportunities, they will rise to the occasion and shine.” The remarkable achievements of her students at local, state, and national competitions are a lasting testament to that belief.

I would vote Ms. Pease life changer of the year because she is really nice and kind to all of her students, including me. Even if sometimes she seems really strict, it's sometimes because she cares about our safety and wants to make sure we're doing the right thing. She spends a lot of her money on the robotics students and a lot on her regular students to experience fun things like 3D Printing, field trips she takes her students on, and some of the other things she spends on for us to use. I think she is the perfect teacher for this nomination for all the nice things she does. I also agree that she is a life changer since she has introduced me to a ton of STEM Jobs I might be interested in the future. I really think Ms. Pease deserves this award.

This year Mrs.pease has changed my life because she has showed me on how to become a better person with less bad attitude ive been having bad citizenship last year but this year ever since I got into Mrs.Pease classroom of technology its teached me to be more calm and how to code its really fun also Mrs.pease teaching us financial situations to help us not get scammed or learn how to save money when we are older is really a life changer also Mrs.Pease teaching us different job careers really helps me on what to choose for my future and I like how she teaches us different ways that 3D printing works like rockets people use 3D printer to make parts. Also she teached us material science and that is a life changer for me because I will learn on how other materials are made and that metal and wood are not the only thing. Also mrs pease is very supportive and I like how she gives us prizes because of our hard work it helps me push more and get better grades Mrs.Pease is the best teacher she is really a life changer!
