Megan Postak was nominated anonymously.
Ms. Postak is deeply committed to building a classroom rooted in connection, joy, and belonging, a place where every student feels like part of a classroom family from day one. As the kindergarten teacher in Room 9, she welcomes each new group of students with warmth and enthusiasm, immediately setting the tone that school is not only a place to learn, but a place to grow, play, and feel valued. Her students know right away that they are important, special, and capable of amazing things.
Ms. Postak celebrates both significant achievements and small victories throughout the year, helping each child recognize their strengths, set personal goals, and take pride in their progress. She fosters a safe, supportive environment where students are encouraged to take risks, make mistakes, and share their thoughts and ideas. Student voice and ownership are central to her classroom culture.
From co-creating classroom agreements to providing students with choices throughout the day, Ms. Postak fosters a space where learners are empowered and engaged. Her approach helps children develop a love for learning and a sense of ownership over their education.
One of the most meaningful traditions in her classroom is the class memory jar. Each student has their own jar, and throughout the year they collect small items and write journal entries to remember special moments and activities. This tradition not only celebrates their experiences but also builds a sense of community and reflection that students carry with them long after the year ends.
Her relationships with her students and families often extend well beyond kindergarten. Many former students and their families stay connected with her for years, a testament to the deep trust and care she fosters. Through her dedication, creativity, and heart, Ms. Postak creates a classroom where students feel safe, inspired, and deeply connected, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Megan is a remarkable teacher! One who goes above and beyond for current and past students!
My son experienced a nasty fall resulting in time away from school. He was super sad missing school but Megan went above and beyond to know they were thinking of him! A cute video wishing him a speedy recovery and a special visit after school with hand written cards and a get well gift made our little guy’s day. My son squealed when he saw her both in the video and at his door. She truly is a special teacher who cares about her students like family. Anyone who has a chance to be part of her classroom truly is lucky!!
She truly goes above and beyond the classroom setting to make sure her kiddos feel the love and to make learning fun! She’s the best!
Mrs. Postak is the kind of teacher who cares deeply about her students and shows up for them outside the classroom too. She attended my daughter’s birthday party over the weekend to say hi to all the classmates who were there and even brought her a gift! The kids were all telling her what fractions their pizzas were cut into and were so excited to make that real world connection. Mrs. Postak is the best!
We love Mrs. Postak! She is the absolute best!!
You were so great when I had you in Kindergarten and now you have my sister. She loves being in your class.

Megan is an amazing person. She lifts up everyone around her and is deserving of this recognition.
Way to go!!! So proud of you!
Megan is an incredible person who I’ve known since we were kids. She is most definitely worthy of this award!!
As my son’s kindergarten teacher, Megan went far beyond what is expected in the classroom. She created an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and capable. Her patience, compassion, and dedication helped my son grow academically, emotionally, and socially. He became excited to learn, confident in himself, and proud of his accomplishments—and that is a direct reflection of her impact.
What makes her even more deserving is the way she builds genuine relationships with families and colleagues. She is supportive, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile, whether it’s offering encouragement, celebrating small victories, or stepping in when a child needs extra care or understanding. She doesn’t just teach lessons—she shapes lives.
She has been a life changer not only for my son, but for me as a parent, and friend giving me peace of mind and trust that my child was in the best possible hands. Her influence is felt long after the school year ends, and her passion for teaching truly makes a difference every single day.
For these reasons and so many more, Megan is profoundly deserving of this award!
We love you Megan! Your teaching and gaming skills are life changing!
Mrs Postak is the absolute best and definitely deserves this award!
Megan puts her heart into everything she does. She truly lives for what’s best for kids.
I’ve known Megan for nearly fifteen years and what I can tell you is that her motivation in all that she does remains consistently the same—better herself, better those she touches, and better the larger community as a whole. Regardless of the task or challenge ahead of her, you can find her attacking it through one or all three of these avenues. For Megan it’s simply making her focus to bettering the lives of those around her. In working with Megan over the years, while that is probably what I most remember, I also can recall one other thing very vividly. When there was any task that needed to be done or opportunity that presented itself, never once did Megan ask what was in it for her, but asked rather what she could do to make it possible. And she did whatever it took while never worrying about anything other than getting it done and done correctly. Megan has spent her career with this very focus on her students, her parents, her school, her district, and the community that surrounds her. And it’s because of that type of singular approach and resolve that the lives that Megan has touched have all been advanced and the better because of her presence in those lives. Megan has never had a person in her care that she didn’t treat like family and because of that you knew you left her presence feeling loved, important, and cared for. She always made those around her realize that they were enough and that’s a special gift to have. Megan selflessly has served and continues to serve those around her daily and any recognition that comes her way is more than deserving and well-earned.
Mrs Postak was the best and most devoted teacher I encountered during both of my children’s school years!!

Great friend and colleague!
We have had several snow days in a row, and not only has Megan expressed that she wants to get back to school to see her students, her students are actually begging to go back because they miss her and the wonderful things she has planned for the class!!! If that doesn’t speak volumes to her character and educational impact, I don’t know what does!!!!
Great teacher, one that turns lights on!

I have known Megan for 2.5 years. She is a wonderful Kindergarten teacher and Executive Board member of the Riverview PTA. She treats all of her students with compassion and works to follow up with them after they leave her classroom. She is truly a special and remarkable person and teacher.
I’m REALLY hoping my son gets her for KG next year!
I hope you win. Because you're a great person!
Seriously, the BEST teacher. All 3 of my girls have had her for Kindergarten and I never want their K years to end. She makes it magical in every way possible. My girls were (are) always excited to go to school. Mrs. Postak turns her classroom into a family who learn to love, help, and cherish one another through play, books, music, art, and just allowing these little 5/6 year olds to be exactly who and what they are. We love Mrs. Postak and I don’t even want to think about how this is our last year with her as our teacher. However, she’ll be in our lives a long, long time.
Mrs.Postak truly has a heart of gold!
We were reading stories with our kindergartener on MLK Day, and one of the things we discussed was how Martin Luther King Jr. followed the principles of Ghandi. When prompted to tell us who she was inspired by, our kindergartener immediately said “Mrs. Postak!” Mrs. Postak teaches kindness, empathy, and acceptance in her classroom, and our daughter absorbs every bit of it. Mrs. Postak is 100% an inspiration and life changer for these kids!
I am incredibly humbled and deeply moved by the kind and thoughtful words that have been shared about my work as a teacher. To know that former students, families, and colleagues remember not just the lessons, but the way they felt in my classroom, is the greatest honor I could ever receive. Teaching kindergarten has always been more than a job to me, it is a privilege to be invited into the lives of children at such a formative, important time. Every day, I am reminded that the smallest moments- a word of encouragement, a celebration of growth, a safe place to land- often become the ones that last the longest.
What touches me most is hearing that the impact continues long after students have left my classroom. That is the true magic of teaching: we don’t always get to see the full story unfold, but we get to help write the first chapters. Teachers have a rare and powerful opportunity to shape not only how children learn, but how they see themselves. We get to help build confidence, resilience, kindness, and a belief that they matter and those lessons reach far beyond reading and math.
I have always believed that teaching is a work of heart. Every child who walks through my door carries their own story, and it is my greatest hope that they leave knowing they are capable, valued, and loved. If even a small part of what I have given continues to live in them, in their courage, their kindness, or their willingness to try, then I know I have done something meaningful. I am forever grateful for this profession, for my students, and for the reminder that teachers truly do have the power to change lives.
To be considered for a Life Changer award is an honor beyond words, but the true reward has always been the children. They are the reason I show up every day, the reason I keep learning and growing, and the reason I believe so deeply in the power of education. If I have made even a small difference in their lives, if I have helped them believe in themselves, love learning, or feel safe in this world, then I know I have lived out my purpose as a teacher.
Mrs. Postak spent even have my Kindergartner in her class, but she always so kind to him. Encouraging him and interacting in a positive manner. Always with a smile on her face.
When you think of a role model, Mrs Postak is top of my list. Truly the best!
You are an absolute rockstar teacher!!!

Megan Postak is truly deserving of the Life Changer of the Year award. Her dedication goes far beyond the school day, and her students are clearly loved, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. The warmth, patience, and passion she brings to teaching changes lives in ways that will be felt for years to come. Her classroom is a place of joy, safety, and growth, and the impact she has on her students and their families is nothing short of extraordinary.
Best kindergarten teacher!
Megan is absolutely fabulous!!!! She inspires everyone around her!
Megan is one of a kind and a ROCKSTAR teacher!
Go Mrs. Postak! She’s amazing!
When Megan was in elementary school, she already knew she wanted to be a teacher. One can learn certain skills and knowledge to teach, but Megan possesses the kind of personality that children respond to and enjoy. They thrive in her classroom because she creates an environment where they feel safe and respected. Megan has excellent communication skills with her parents and colleagues. She has children of her own so she understands the role of parents and how she might help them in creating a more successful school year for their child.
Great teacher! So loving!

Thank you for helping me this morning Mrs. Postak!
My daughter had Mrs. Postak when she was in KG, and she is now in 4th grade. Despite the years that have passed since having her in class, Mrs. Postak continues to support and care for my daughter. This morning my daughter started a job as office helper and was beyond nervous to say the morning announcements. Mrs. Postak knew this, so she sought her out first thing in the morning to check in with her, comfort her, and instill confidence in her. Mrs. Postak is not only an incredible educator, but she also truly cares for all of her students, past and present!
You rock Megan! Keep up the amazing work!!!!

Go Mrs. Postak! You do amazing things with your students!
A human with a heart of gold… truly!
Mrs. Postak is such a blessing to my kids who both had been fortunate to have her as a teacher!
Some people say that you never forget your first teacher, but you especially never forget ones who changed your life. Mrs. Postak is that kindergarten teacher to her students. You can trace so much of who her students become back to the kindness, patience, and belief she showed them when they were only five years old.
What made her extraordinary wasn’t just the way she taught letters or helped students sound out words, it was how she made students feel. She created a classroom where every child felt safe, seen, and valued. She understood that little kids aren’t just learning academics; they’re learning who they are, and who they can become. And she took that responsibility seriously.
She didn’t just teach lessons; she built confidence. She didn’t just manage a classroom; she nurtured a community. She celebrated every small success as if it were monumental, and she had an incredible gift for finding potential in every child, even the ones who struggled most. She made students believe they could do things long before they actually could. That kind of belief stays with them always.
All of her students still carry the things she taught them: the courage to try, the resilience to keep going, and the understanding that kindness matters. She inspires her students to grow up to be humans who make people feel the way she made them feel: important, capable, and full of possibility.
A truly great teacher doesn’t just teach a grade level; they change lives. She shaped the way her students see themselves. And if her students are better, kinder, more confident people today, it is in large part because of the foundation she laid for them many years ago.
She didn’t just teach kindergarten. She taught people. And her students are forever grateful they got to be in her classroom and continue to be loved and supported by her every year after that.
Megan Postak is so much more than a kindergarten teacher, she is a life changer. Every day, she doesn’t just teach letters, numbers, and colors; she teaches kindness, confidence, and the belief that every child can succeed. She sees potential in every student and lifts them up in ways that last a lifetime. Beyond her classroom, she inspires everyone around her—parents, colleagues, and community members alike by the way she cares, shows up, and gives her best self to others. The impact she has is immeasurable, and anyone who has the privilege of knowing her knows how truly special she is. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this life changer honor!
Mrs. Postak is the best kindergarten teacher. She made learning feel fun, like every day was an adventure. She taught us how to love school.
She always believed in us, even when we weren’t very good at things yet. If we wrote our letters backwards or forgot how to count she helped us try again. That’s what made her special. She saw who we could become, not just who we were at that moment.
She also loved us so much. You could feel it in the way she smiled at us when we walked into the room, or how she got excited when we learned something new. She made every kid feel important, like we mattered. Some teachers just teach you things, but she made us believe in ourselves.
Now that I’m older, I still think about her a lot. I think about how she helped me be brave when I was nervous, and how she made me feel proud of myself. I think her students are lucky every single year to have her, and I’m lucky that I got to be one of them. She wasn’t just my teacher, she helped me become who I am today. No one is more deserving of this award!
Meghan is that person who isn’t a teacher by profession, she just simply IS a teacher and all that implies. She is there for the long haul, in and out of the classroom, to educate, support, and encourage.
Megan loves these kids like they are her own. She always has a perfect mix of academics and fun. She is the perfect kindergarten teacher!
Not only is Megan an amazing educator in the her classroom, she is a valuable member of our district, as she is involved in many committees that support our staff and students. I value her leadership and commitment.
You got this Mrs. Postak!
Both my kids have had Mrs Postak for kindergarten- and she has created a huge love for learning for both of them! She leads with love and compassion and sets the pedestal high for all future teachers!
As a fellow educator, I have had many deep conversations about education with Mrs. Postak. Through all of those conversations, the one thing I always take away is how deeply passionate she is about the entire field of Education. She is not a surface level teacher and is somebody who truly wants to make great changes to the field in order to do what's best for her students and the community. She is an amazing representation of an educator both inside the classroom and out. We could truly use more educators like Mrs. Postak!
Megan is a wonderful person and teacher. It's a pleasure knowing her.
Truly the best teacher and mentor! Anyone who crosses her path is a lucky one!
She deserves this honor to the core!!!!!
Go Mrs. Postak! You are the best!
This nomination for the National Life Changer Award is well deserved. Megan Postak has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication throughout her career, serving her school, district, and professional community with distinction. For eight years, she has been a valued member of the District Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decisions that enhance educational opportunities for all students. At the building level, she has served on the Building Leadership Team for 21 years, providing consistent guidance, collaboration, and expertise to support school-wide initiatives and foster a positive, student-centered culture.
Megan has also served as Title I Coordinator for four years, ensuring equitable access to learning and providing targeted support to students in need, while fostering collaboration among staff and families to maximize student success. Her leadership extends to curriculum and instruction as the Kindergarten Grade Level Facilitator for six years, where she has guided her colleagues, shared best practices, and supported the professional growth of teachers at every stage.
Beyond the classroom and school, Megan has contributed to her professional community as the Stow Teachers Union Treasurer for 12 years, managing responsibilities with integrity, transparency, and dedication to her colleagues.
She also served as the school’s PTA President for 3 years and Corresponding Secretary for 2 years focusing on bringing more family friendly, inclusive and community oriented events to the families of Riverview. Across every role, Megan demonstrates vision, commitment, and the ability to bring people together to improve schools, support students, build relationships with families and strengthen the teaching profession. Her long-standing service is a testament to her unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and lasting impact on students, staff, and the community.
A truly exceptional kindergarten teacher doesn’t just make a difference in their classroom, they make a difference everywhere they go. That’s exactly the kind of teacher Mrs. Postak is. Her impact doesn’t end when the school day does; it spreads through the whole community like sunshine.
She is always the first to raise her hand when someone needs help. If there’s a volunteer list, her name is already on it. If there’s an event that needs planning, she’s already thinking of ways to make it better. She gives her time the way some people give smiles—freely, generously, and without ever being asked.
And it doesn’t stop there. She shows up for her students long after they leave her classroom. If a child has a soccer game, a dance recital, a parade, a fundraiser—you can expect to see her in the crowd. She cheers the loudest, claps the hardest, and makes every kid feel like they have their own personal fan club. Her presence says, “You matter. I believe in you.” And children remember that kind of support forever.
In our community, she is a constant source of warmth and encouragement. People know that if something is happening—big or small—she will be there, offering help, cheering others on, or simply spreading joy. She’s the kind of teacher who lifts people up not just academically, but emotionally and personally. She makes everyone around her feel seen and supported.
Mrs. Postak doesn’t just teach kindergarten.?She teaches kindness, commitment, and community.?And because of her, our entire town is a better place.
She is incredibly deserving of the Life Changer of the Year award!
All 3 of my children have had Megan. She brings enthusiasm and love to everything she does in the classroom. I now also have the pleasure of working with Megan at the school and can see up close the impact she has on these kids. She is always thinking of ways to get the best out of the kids in her class. She is an asset to the school.
Such a big heart & warm smile!

We appreciate the great welcome and start to Riverview! Mrs. Postak is really a difference maker!
“iPads aren’t my favorite anymore. The best part of my day is teacher time with Mrs. Postak at the yellow table!”
My mom is the best teacher in the whole world. I know people say that a lot, but with my mom it’s actually true. Every kid who gets to be in her class is lucky, even if they don’t realize it right away. She always knows how to explain things in a way that makes sense, and she never gives up on anyone. She makes learning feel safe, like you can mess up and it’s totally okay, because she’ll help you try again.
But the thing that makes her even more amazing is that after spending all day helping her students, she still comes home and helps me. I use a wheelchair and I need extra care. She knows how to help me with things without making me feel embarrassed, and she listens when I get overwhelmed or need things explained differently. She understands me, even when I have trouble explaining myself.
Some people think teachers only teach at school, but that’s not true for my mom. She teaches kids how to read and write, but she also teaches me how to be brave, how to keep trying, and how to believe in myself. She shows me that being different doesn’t mean being less. It just means needing different things, and she always helps me get what I need.
I think her students are lucky to have her. But I think I’m the luckiest of all, because I get to have her as my mom. No one deserves this award more than her. I love you mom!
My mom is a real-life superhero. Not the kind that flies but the kind that helps everybody and makes the world better. She is the best teacher EVER. She teaches little kids in kindergarten and she works SO hard every single day. She makes fun projects and helps kids learn to read and makes kids happy. She shows up for her students all the time.
My mom helps so many people that sometimes I think she has magic powers. When she comes home she is tired, but she still helps me with my homework and listens to all my stories, even the long ones.
I wish I got to be in her class because everyone says she is the nicest and funniest teacher. I think the kids in her class are super lucky because they get my mom as their teacher. If I was in her class, I would learn so much and have the best year ever.
She teaches me how to be a good person, and makes me want to be a teacher just like her when I grow up. I love my mom so much and I am so proud of her! She totally deserves this!

To see the magic and pride in her face as she reads these stories is really incredible to witness. This is all thanks to Mrs. Postak’s teaching style. She makes learning so fun - my daughter can’t wait to go to school everyday. Mrs. Postak is the best!
Mrs. Postak is my favorite teacher!
Mrs. Postak is a truly wonderful and dedicated educator. No one more deserving!
Since day 1 going back to Safety Town Megan has been a great teacher and influence on my son. He comes home all the time and talks about how much he loves her class and all the fun things they do everyday! He’s learned so much already!
Ms. Postak is a pillar of our community. Through her work with students, families, fellow teaching staff, administrators and community members she has fostered a community where all are supported to not only learn, but thrive. Ms. Postak sees beyond the curriculum and data to the child and family behind it, creating authentic learning experiences that foster the development of the whole-child. She has a gift for making students and families alike feel valued and seen as the crucial members that they are of their child's educational team. As the mother of a child in her school district and as a co-worker in her school building, she has always given of her time to answer my questions and share her insights (and we all know how precious a teacher's time is). Generously sharing her wisdom with other educators, her reach is felt far beyond the four walls of her classroom. I strongly recommend Ms. Postak for the honor of LIfeChanger of the Year.
Mrs. Postak is the best teacher ever. She is nice and makes each day fun!
I like Mrs. Postak because she is nice and she is the best!

You’re the best teacher on the planet!!!!
Victor is a student of Mrs. Postak and wanted to say, “She is a great teacher and teaches us math.”
For the past 10 years I have worked with Megan and at the start of each year, I see her eager to get to know her next set of students. Her eyes light up when we welcome them in each year. The relationships that she builds are even more evident when she sees a sibling of a past student. They cannot wait to have the experience that they know their brother, sister or cousin had with her before.
It is incredible to witness a teacher who has taught for 20 years still be so passionate about teaching snd learning. You can see it daily by the lessons she teaches and the relationships she builds with her students year after year. She’s excited to see them and they are equally excited when they walk in the door each day awaiting what new and stimulating lessons are happening that day.
As the owner of a professional talent acquisition firm and someone who has known Megan for most of her life, it was easy to recognize that she has always been a high potential individual. She has the drive and mindset to continuously improve. Megan is bright and articulate and would have risen to the top of any profession that she chose, and she chose education. She has in-depth knowledge, is an outstanding communicator that makes learning fun.
While I could go on about what a great teacher she is, perhaps more important, Megan is a great mother and shows caring and compassion to all, which are very important ingredients to be a life changer in the classroom.
Mrs. Postak is a wonderful teacher, we are so lucky to have her!
Keep up the great work that you do.
Mrs. Postak has taught 3/4 kiddos, and we love her!
Megan is a committed educator that goes beyond for her students. She is an Ohio Teacher leader and PAEMST awardee. Thanks Megan for your commitment to making education the best it can be for our students and future generations.
Mrs. Postak is the best! She truly cares about everybody that goes through that school not just her students and forms great relationships with her students that go beyond the classroom! She does so much for our school! We are very thankful for her!
Mrs Postak is so awesome and if anyone deserves this award it is her. Mrs Postak plans so much for all the students in the school and the events are always so much fun! Thank you for being you, Kaitlyn
As a colleague, a parent of a former student in her class, and a friend, I can say that Mrs. Postak truly instills a love for learning in her students and sends them off prepared for future learning! I watched my own child flourish in writing and excel in all areas and get the benefit of having many of her students get passed along to me! Thanks for all you do, Megan!! We are better with your commitment and compassion!
My daughter loved Mrs Postak and still is one of her favorite teachers. She cares about her kiddos.
Mrs. Postak has spent many years molding these young lives into curious students that appreciate the fun of learning. She encourages them to do their best and recognizes their individual strengths. Children thrive in Mrs. Postak’s classroom.
Huge congratulations Megan! This recognition is well deserved!
The kind of impact that Mrs. Postak has made beyond the classroom is far reaching. She has single-handed changed lives for the better, one kindergartener at a time. I’m so proud to be her cousin!
Mrs Postack is the kindest teacher!
Mrs Postak is a truly caring individual, & not just of the kids in her class, but those in the whole school & their families. Beautiful heart!
I had the pleasure of having both of my kids in her classroom and they absolutely love her. That first year of school is so important to shape how children view school and she not only set them up for success, they were excited to come to school each day.
My daughter loved having her as a teacher. She grew so much as a student that year.
Mrs. Postak is a wonderful educator who wholeheartedly deserves this award!

Mrs. Postak taught two of my four grandchildren. They both love her! She goes above and beyond what is expected of a teacher! And, as a retired teacher, myself, I know how hard she works! I hope she wins this award! She’s so deserving of it!!
Both of my younger kids have had Mrs. Postak and absolutely love her. We love that she has the patience of a saint and truly wants to see each and every one of the kids she teaches to succeed.
You’re the best, Ms. Postak! Thank you for being an amazing role model for our kids!
I’ve known Megan since birth. When Megan was about 10, I could tell she was gonna be a teacher because of how she interacted with my kids. She had and still has this gentle compassion when she’s with the littles. It’s been a pleasure to not only watch how she’s touched so many lives teaching, but how she’s still able to be a super mom to her physically handicapped son and her very active in sports daughter. Megan is an incredible teacher and it shows in just about every aspect of her life.
My son was lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak as his instructor for safety town over the summer months, which he absolutely loved. Even though he is in a different kindergarten class for the school year, Mrs. Postak is still such a cheerleader for him and such a big presence at the school. Riverview is so fortunate to have her :)
Mrs. Postak was instrumental in helping my son navigate his first year of elementary school! My son loved her class and her communication to us as parents is top tier!!
Ms. Postak is absolutely wonderful! She gives her time and talent to help all of the children at Riverview and is a tremendous asset to our community!

She had been a crucial key in making our PTA great, she is a fantastic and kind teacher, and she ensures that the title 1 kids get the love and help they need to succeed and become amazing readers. I am so grateful for all the wonderful things she does for my kids and their school. We are so incredibly lucky to have her
Way to represent Riverview!!’
She is a fantastic teacher and person! My kiddos were at Riverview. Many years ago and I can’t still remember her bright smile and willing to help no matter how big or small. Go Ms. Postak!!
Mrs. Postak is amazing! She is always there with a smiling face and willing to go the extra mile!
Megan has always been exceptional, dedicated, creative and compassionate about everything she does!
She more than deserves an award for her success as an impactful and beloved teacher!! I’m proud to be her Aunt!
Ms. Postak puts her all into teaching and it shines through every student she has had in class and as well as any student she interacts with.
My kids absolutely loved being in Ms Postak she was such a wonderful kindergarten teacher!
As a professional, friend, and fellow advocate for students with disabilities, I am honored to nominate Megan Postak for the LifeChanger of the Year award. Our friendship, forged through our shared passion for education and inclusion, has been a source of inspiration and strength for me, particularly during my journey as a parent of a medically complex child.
Megan's impact on my life has been profound, serving as a role model and mentor during my first year as a NICU parent. Her son's diagnosis with spina bifida could have defined his potential, but Megan refused to let that happen. Instead, she channeled her energy into organizing fundraisers, raising awareness about spina bifida, and donating proceeds to Akron Children's Hospital. Her selflessness, resilience, and dedication to her son's well-being have been a beacon of hope for me and countless others.
Megan's contributions extend far beyond her immediate community, inspiring a broader movement of inclusion and advocacy. Her tireless efforts have not only raised vital funds for Akron Children's Hospital but have also helped to break down barriers and challenge societal norms. As a community leader, Megan has modeled the importance of empathy, compassion, and understanding, demonstrating that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
In recommending Megan for the LifeChanger of the Year award, I am recognizing not only her outstanding contributions but also her unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive and compassionate world. Megan's story is a testament to the transformative power of love, advocacy, and determination. She embodies the very spirit of the LifeChanger of the Year award, and I firmly believe that she deserves this recognition for her tireless efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
She is a hard-working, dedicated teacher!
I cannot comment enough on how amazing a teacher Megan is!! My son, who I previously shared is currently in Kindergarten with Megan, read his first book by himself last tonight. Tonight, while recording to show his family out of state, was adamant I had to send to her because “she will be so proud Mommy!”. She’s created an environment where even outside of school he wants to continue to learn and celebrate milestones with her!! And her response made his night! She sent the sweetest message and he was BEAMING listening to it!! I am so thankful Megan is his teacher and he’s thriving because of her unconditional commitment to her students and her classroom!!
We absolutely adore Mrs. Postak and how she loves each child individually!!
Mrs. Postak, we are thankful for your time and commitment to Riverview for both the students and through the PTA. Go Mrs. Postak!!
Mrs. Postak is not an average teacher and any student that is lucky enough to have her as a teacher and friend will know what it’s like to have someone that really cares and goes above and beyond to make them feel very special.
Our little Granddaughter found herself in Mrs. Postal’s kindergarten’s class and she cried when she graduated because she wanted to stay with Mrs. Postak another year. I can only say that she thrived being with Mrs. Postak after surviving a life threatening emergency two years prior to being with Mrs. Postak!
God Bless, Mrs. Postak!
When I think about what it means to be an amazing teacher, Megan’s name immediately comes to mind. From the moment you walk into her classroom, you can see, feel, and hear the genuine love she has for teaching and for helping her students grow into the best versions of themselves. Every student in her room is seen, valued, and supported. Megan ensures that each child feels welcomed, included, and confident every single day at school.
She goes above and beyond to help her students reach their fullest potential and continues to celebrate their accomplishments long after they leave her classroom. Megan’s dedication doesn’t stop at her students—her work ethic is truly unmatched. I honestly don’t know how she does it all: teaching, serving on the PTA, engaging in community involvement, writing grants to support her students and classroom, being a trusted colleague, and leading as a true teacher leader.
Megan embodies everything it means to be a LifeChanger. Her passion, commitment, and heart make a lasting impact on everyone around her. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the LifeChanger of the Year Award.
I have had the privilege of knowing Megan Postak on many different levels. She is an amazing, caring, loving friend, mom and teacher! She is very deserving of all these wonderful comments!
My children did not have Ms. Postak for Kindergarten, but she still made an impact. Ms. Postak can always be counted on to show up and help with a smile on her face. She helps with every school event and truly cares about the school and students - all the students, not just the ones in her classroom. She’s a friendly and caring face that’s always there for the students and the school is very lucky to have her!

Megan is a dynamic, dedicated kindergarten teacher. Her room is vibrant and child centered. Mrs. Postak develops a rapport with her students that transcends well after they leave kindergarten. She was amazing during the pandemic, teaching with appropriate, engaging videos. Besides being involved with Stow Schools, she is also active in her home town of Wadsworth. Very deserving! Go Mrs. P!
Mrs. Postak is the best teacher!
Mrs. Postak is an amazing teacher!
Megan deserves this more than anyone!
Ms. Postak is a blessing to our city, school district, and so many individual students and their families. One of my best friend’s children had Ms. Postak and she still speaks about her children’s experience learning in her classroom. I have also had the opportunity to substitute teach for Ms. Postak and again I could sense the students’ love for learning because of Ms. Postak. As a city council member in our city, I’m so thankful for the wonderful teachers we have in our community, like Ms. Megan Postak, who goes above and beyond for her students and for our school district. She is a gifted educator and a wonderful person.
I have known the Postak family forever and I can say is the amount of pure joy Megan shows to Miles plus Marlee is extraordinary. Not only does she show this to her kids, she is also a great wife and a great friend to many that know her plus she deserves this honor hands down.
Megan is an excellent teacher. She truly loves her job and it shows in the children’s achievement.
I am a Senior and I had Mrs. Postak for Kindergarten! I’ll never forget all the fun memories we made during that school year. I was nervous to start school, but she was welcoming and made me excited to come to school every day. She inspires me to become a teacher like her someday!
I am in 6th grade and when I was in kindergarten, Mrs. Postak was my teacher. She was the best! I remember having a group during Covid and we were at home on Zoom. We read books with our group and she made it fun for us to learn and helped us if we made mistakes. At the end of the school year, she came to all of our houses and brought awards and surprises for us. She stood at the end of the driveway and I was so excited to see her!!
Our family has known Mrs.Postak and her family for many years. Two of our daughters were fortunate to have her as their kindergarten teacher. She is an excellent teacher who is passionate about everything she does. She makes every student feel special and really connects with them in a caring and positive way. In the spring of 2020, when our youngest daughter’s kindergarten year was suddenly cut short due to Covid, Mrs. Postak didn’t skip a beat. She immediately set up times for zoom calls with the students to maintain contact with them and keep in touch with each other. We have many happy memories of Mrs. Postak helping Alexa read Mo Willems books, working through math problems, and all of her enthusiasm as she helped her kindergarteners through that challenging time. We are grateful for Mrs. Postak and will always remember the impact she had on our daughters’ lives.
Megan Postak exemplifies the very best in teaching, mentorship, and leadership. Over the course of her career, she has served as a mentor to more than a dozen student teachers, providing guidance, support, and inspiration as they begin their own journeys in education. Her mentorship goes far beyond instruction in lesson planning or classroom management; she models compassion, patience, and professionalism, instilling in her student teachers the values and dedication that define an outstanding educator.
In recognition of her exceptional mentorship, Megan was named Cooperating Teacher of the Year by Kent State University in 2017. This prestigious award highlights her ability to cultivate confidence and excellence in aspiring teachers, demonstrating both her expertise and her generosity in sharing her knowledge. Megan’s impact is profound, the student teachers she has mentored carry forward her example, touching countless additional students and shaping the next generation of educators.
Through her guidance, Megan fosters not only skilled teachers, but also educators who understand the importance of relationships, empathy, and the lasting influence a teacher can have on students and families. Her dedication to mentorship reflects her lifelong commitment to education and her unwavering belief in empowering others to succeed. Megan Postak is a teacher-leader whose influence extends far beyond her classroom, shaping the profession and leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire for years to come. That is the definition of a life changer.

I first met Megan in her first year at Indian Trail school. Having her in my classroom was a true gift because she always willingly helped her classmates and... occasionally me! Megan was a very attentive, warm, happy child who had a very pleasant way about her. She was a class leader others looked up to. I am so happy that she was nominated for The Life Changer Award of the year!
Our son Nicholas had Ms. Postak as his kindergarten teacher, and we are so thankful he did. She’s dedicated, thoughtful, and gifted with the ability to make learning fun for her students. Megan and I have known each other since we were little and she’s always been the same kind-hearted person.
Can’t think of a better nominee. Great teacher, and great human!!!
Mrs. Postak is nice. She is still my favorite teacher and Im in 5th grade. I had Mrs. Postak for kindergarten. She is the best teacher ever.
Megan Postak is one of those rare people who always goes above and beyond for every student she meets. She leads with her heart and is guided by one simple question — what’s best for kids? Her passion for students is unmatched, and her care extends to everyone she works with. Megan is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or share her expertise. She lifts others up and makes everyone around her better. Megan truly embodies what it means to put kids first in everything she does.
Your dedication to teaching shines through! How lucky families are to have you in their children’s lives.
As Fire Chief for the City of Munroe Falls, I have been fortunate to be associated with Megan Postak for many years. Her work on behalf of the safety forces teaching children how to stay safe in different situations has been invaluable. Her successes, and her students’ successes in the classroom are well known and respected throughout our community However, even before their first day of kindergarten, children of Munroe Falls have been fortunate to interact with Megan who is the organizer and director of the Munroe Falls Safety Town program. Every summer, Mrs. Postak dedicates a week of her summer break interacting with children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. Students in this program leave with a sense confidence, joy, and belonging to their community, which transfers to their first days of school in the fall especially when they see Mrs. Postak in the hallways. The program's hands-on approach teaching essential safety skills in a simulated environment, covering everything from pedestrian, bus, and bicycle safety to fire, stranger danger, and water safety, is incredibly valuable for preparing children for kindergarten and beyond. The children benefit from having someone like Megan who can communicate these important lessons in an engaging and accessible way. Mrs. Postak’s work clearly leaves a positive impact on both the children and the wider community, fostering confidence and a sense of belonging among the students.
Megan is a dedicated individual whose efforts have had a significant and lasting impact on the safety and well-being of the children in our community, preparing them for kindergarten and building foundational safety knowledge. Her work in fostering an environment of learning, safety, and community is truly commendable. We are all fortunate to have Mrs. Postak in our community and our lives.
I had the pleasure of teaching Megan Postak in my fourth grade classroom at Indian Trail Elementary School in Stow, Ohio. She was a happy and conscientious student who showed enthusiasm and pride in her schoolwork, caring and compassion for the other students and demonstrated good cooperation and leadership skills. I remember her warm smile and her kind demeanor and I have followed her successful teaching career with warmth and pride.
Megan is a very upbeat positive person. Always putting her family and students first. She brings excitement to all activities and learning material.
She also makes sure everyone is treated the same and includes everyone in everything she does.
Megan is a wonderful and dedicated teacher and friend. She deserves every award and more!
We were lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak be the kindergarten teacher for all three of our children. What an amazing experience! We feel so fortunate that she was there to start them off with their academic foundations. She’ll forever have a place in their hearts!
Ms. Postak sure is a terrific teacher. I love big school because of her. She makes every day fun!
Mrs. Postak is the teacher that greets you with a smile day in and day out. Her warmth, patience, and enthusiasm waits for each student as they enter her classroom. She takes the time to know each and every one of her kiddos on a personal level and even circles back with them throughout their ENTIRE academic career. Her unwavering dedication is seen through her students’ smiles and achievement each day. There is no teacher more deserving for this award. Whether you know this kind human personally, or your child was lucky enough to have her as a constant in their lives, Megan will never stop touching every heart, big or small, that she connects with.

Megan’s passion for teaching is contagious. She spreads joy, curiosity and confidence in her classroom and her students are all the better for the love and support they receive there each and every day.

Megan is the most dedicated person I know. Dedicated to her family, friends and her classroom. I wish her the best!
As a retired teacher and proud grandmother, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mrs. Postak. All of my grandchildren were lucky enough to have her for kindergarten, and they absolutely adored her. She has that rare gift of making every child feel seen, valued, and excited to learn. I watched my grandkids come home each day with big smiles, eager to tell me about their day. From one educator to another, I can truly say that Mrs. Postak embodies everything a great teacher should be—kind, patient, creative, and full of genuine love for her students.

Mrs. Postak is a phenomenal teacher and very dedicated her profession!
I was in Ms. Postak’s very first class when became our long term sub in 2nd grade. Even though she had just graduated from college, she taught like a seasoned vet. My positive and impactful experience in her class is one of the reasons why I became a teacher myself. She is the best of the best!
My son had Mrs. Postak the first year she taught kindergarten. I have kept in touch with her through social media and over the past 19 years she has always proven to be a compassionate person who truly cares for her students and their success.

I love learning in kindergarten. Mrs. Postak makes me feel happy and we get to do so many fun things. She is the best!
You are the kindest teacher ever. I miss you so much!
As I co-taught with Megan as our district's mathematics specialist, I watched her put children and their ideas and needs at the center of learning. Her classroom abounds with interesting mathematical toys and books, and in looking at the displays on her walls and in the hallway outside, an observer can see that mathematics is clearly a major focus. When Megan leads a mathematics lesson, she very often begins with a story, a game that draws children in, or a real-life situation that might include concepts from science, social studies, or activities within the classroom or school. Her manner while teaching displays a genuine excitement that transfers readily to the students. She includes all children in ways that value and celebrate both commonality and difference, helping students learn to do so as well as they create a classroom community. Megan asks questions of each child during every lesson and invites those who seem a bit less confident to participate in ways that foster their agency over time. She guides each student to make *sense* of mathematical ideas, not simply to memorize and repeat words and numbers – again, to build a foundation for future learning.
We were so blessed to have Ms. Postak be the kindergarten teacher for both our boys. She supported each of them in the ways they needed to be supported. From showing compassion and understanding with the medical needs of our younger son to encouraging a growth mindset with our older son, she showed up for them each day in kindergarten. Her support of her students doesn't end there- she checks in with them throughout their elementary career and still checks in with the families she's taught many years after. Having Ms. Postak be the teacher that started their school career will always be something that I am so grateful for - she is deserving of every accolade and more!
I have known Megan for over 20 years. She is one of the most hardworking, passionate, and kind-hearted people I know. She pours her heart into everything she does and genuinely cares about the people around her. I’m so lucky to call her a friend!
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible experience that my boys had with Mrs. Postak as their kindergarten teacher! We had just recently moved to this area a few weeks prior to the school year beginning when my oldest son started his kindergarten journey, which meant that everything was new to us. Knowing that our son was in a safe and caring classroom helped our move to the area so much easier. When it came time for our youngest to head to kindergarten we specifically requested to have Mrs. Postak!
She is kind, thoughtful, compassionate and one of the most dedicated educators I have ever known. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts and I'm so grateful that she shared her passion for learning with my sons. She's a truly remarkable person who has made such a big impact on people's lives, and she definitely deserves this recognition!
Mrs Postak was one of the absolute best teachers that 2 if my children had! Her approach was so loving and sincere. It felt like when my kids were in her care I know she was the best place for such a foundational step such as kindergarten.
Over the years my kids would still bring up how they wanted to go see Mrs Postak when we would come back home in Ohio to visit. She was more than a teacher to us. She was part of our family.
Mrs. Postak is awesome! She has taught all three of my children and left a lasting impression on our family. She is an amazing teacher and person. We are so lucky to know her!
I generally have trouble remembering things from my childhood. However, I vividly remember the good atmosphere and smiles from Mrs Postak’s kindergarten classroom. Back then, she was Miss Meneer, and she invited me and my fellow classmates to her wedding. Which looking back was a risky move having a bunch of kindergarteners there, but it was a good demonstration of how much she cared about us and how much we loved her. I also can’t forget all of the nice activities she would arrange for us to make early learning enjoyable. She has left a lasting impression on me and many of my peers in our community.
She made school enjoyable
My to-be-wife loved having her as a teacher
As both my 7th-grade basketball coach and a passionate kindergarten teacher, Megan has made a lasting impact on my life and the lives of so many others.
One of my favorite memories of her is how she would sit with us at or after practices or games—not just to talk basketball, but to talk about life. She always made time for us, laughing with us, listening to us, and guiding us. Her bubbly & giggly personality made her someone we felt comfortable around, and her positivity was contagious.
As a coach, she helped us become better athletes, but more importantly, she helped us grow into confident, strong young women. She shared her personal experiences in such a genuine way that made us feel understood and helped us feel close to her.
Now, as a teacher myself, I continue to look up to her. Although we’ve never worked directly together, I see the passion, joy, and creativity she brings to her kindergarten classroom through social media. From engaging activities to her caring interactions with her students, she creates a learning environment that any student would want to be a part of. When I imagine my own future children starting school, I dream of them having someone like her as their very first teacher and leader.
Megan is the definition of a life-changer :)
She was all my children’s teacher at kindergarten. She enriched their lives and set a strong basis for the school career. She’s very creative in the classroom. She’s very socially justice driven and shares her love of learning and always doing the right thing with the young children so they can develop critical thinking skills. She’s one of a kind please consider her for a nomination.
Best kindergarten teacher ever
Ms Postak is one of the most incredible teachers that I have encountered! She genuinely loves what she does, and her students (and their parents) love her! My children were both blessed to have her as their kindergarten teacher! She is so creative, thoughtful, kind, and genuine. My children loved “The marriage of Q and U” as well as the unit on Japan. She was so attentive and involved! I would run into her over the years, and she would remember specifics about my kids and sincerely inquire about them! My kids are now grown and in college and , to this day, they say she is, hands down, the best teacher they ever had. She is a truly a gem and unforgettable teacher!
Megan was born to be a teacher. Her passion and dedication are unmatched. Everyone in our school district knows and adores Mrs. Postak. We need more teachers like her!!!
If anyone deserves the life changer award, it's Mrs. Postak! She was my teacher in kindergarten, and she taught me how to love learning. She didn't just mix in fun activities during class but also made learning a fun activity. I don't remember much about my kindergarten year, but Mrs. Postak shaped me into the person I am today, academically and socially! The way she taught us made every child feel involved and interested. My little sister Winnie is in Mrs. Postak's class, and every school day she goes to school with a spring in her step and comes home with lots of exciting stories for us. Mrs. Postak is truly amazing!
Megan is an incredible teacher who creates a welcoming, inclusive space where every student feels seen and valued. Her genuine care, patience, and dedication to her students leaves a lasting impact on all that come through her door. Her students are so lucky to have her! Megan couldn’t be more deserving!
Megan taught kindergarten for my youngest two kids. She was patient and helped set a strong foundation and love of learning for both of them. I’m incredibly grateful for her involvement in my children’s education.
I love learning with Mrs. Postak definitely! It is so much fun and we do so many fun things together like play games, have free choice time, taste apples, sing songs and laugh a lot! I am happy at school because I love it! She is the BEST! Go Mrs. Postak!
I started out nervous about going to school but now I love to go to school because it is so much fun! Mrs. Postak lets us do so many things like playing with blocks, drawing and painting, and doing math. I feel great at school because it is my favorite. I love Mrs. Postak.
As a parent of a student from Ms. Postak’s very first two years of teaching, I can proudly attest to her early and unwavering dedication to cultivating a lifelong love of learning. Even before she discovered her passion for Kindergarten, Ms. Postak brought creativity, commitment, and joy to her 2nd and 3rd grade classroom. Her students felt that connection deeply—so much so that many returned years later as high school seniors to serve as “guest readers.” When my own senior revisited her classroom, Ms. Postak surprised him with an assignment he had completed in her class years earlier—a powerful reminder of the lasting impact she had made. That moment came full circle when he chose to pursue teaching himself, now serving as a high school math teacher and coach. The devotion and creativity Ms. Postak modeled in those early years has become part of the legacy he now builds, inspiring a new generation through the foundation she helped spark.
Both of my children were blessed to have Megan Postak as their first official elementary school teacher for Kindergarten. Even though both of them attended preschool Kindergarten was considered the big leagues for them and for myself as a parent. Everyone was excited and nervous. Mrs. Postak made the transition so easy! My kids loved her and I knew my children were in trustworthy nurturing hands. Mrs. Postak made learning fun and exciting for them. My daughter Kelly who use to come home from preschool overwhelmed and tired was suddenly thriving and looking forward to school. She would come home chatty and full of stories of her classroom adventures. Both of my kids looked forward to getting up and going to school. Mrs Postak not only worked with the children to help them learn she helped the family as a whole navigate bumps in the road. My daughter loved school but struggled with letters and reading. Mrs Postak saw this and pointed us in the right direction to get her help and support for what was later diagnosed as dyslexia. Kelly never missed a beat and went on to successfully navigate her challenges, and she is in college now. I truly believe that is largely because she saw that learning could be fun and that Mrs. Postak set her on her learning journey with confidence and direction.
Mrs Postak also changed my life and set me on a better path. She took the time with her students to not only teach them but to get to know them and their families allowing her to see things that others had not. I was newly divorced with a kindergartner a 1 year old and no job. I was struggling in silence. Mrs. Postak and her mother secretly put together a huge Christmas for myself and my kids that included free dance lessons for my daughter, food, clothing, gift cards and personal gifts for for all of us. That huge personal gesture was given from the heart and with love. I was able to regroup and breathe for the first time in long time. My worries for the holidays and the new year were lifted and my kids were happy allowing me to regroup and focus on getting ahead and a good job.
Mrs Postak is not only a teacher who helps build confidence in young minds she is a hero to her students, their families and the community as a whole. Words cannot truly show my appreciation for what she has done for my children and myself personally. Winning this award would certainly go a long way in showing what an impact she has had on all of us!!!
Mrs. Postak is the best! She’s one of those educators that leaves such an indelible impression that you remember them for your entire life! Her passion, excitement, creativity and caring nature make her more than deserving of this award.
I was blessed to know and work with Megan when I was an administrator in Sow-Munroes Fall. Megan is the ultimate educator. She tirelessly taught her students every day. She advocated for all her families. She is an inspiration to all educators. I am pleased to recognize Megan as Lifechanger of the year.
Megan has been not only a great educator for our children but also an incredible advocate for all children regardless of their level or abilities. She is loved by all former students with many of them constantly returning to her room for a hug or a life update. She has always made time for every student, not just the ones she taught!

Megan is incredible and any parent would be lucky to have her as a teacher for their child.
Megan Postak was my daughter’s kindergarten teacher. My daughter was loved her class and was excited to go to school every day. Even now a junior in high school she still compares all teachers to Mrs. Postak.
It’s been 18 years since Megan walked in to my middle school gym and introduced herself as “Coach”. I’ll never forget her energy; something a team full of middle school basketball girls really needed… encouraging, warm, kind. She quickly took on the role of “Mentor”, “Counselor”, “Teacher”, and “Friend”. When middle school came and went, I’ve spent years crossing paths with Megan at sporting event, city events and school events and she never loses sight of her passion for people and showing an endless amount of passion for them. Watching her personal and professional life share all of the same meaningful moments giving back and making the world a better place prove how great of a person she truly is. The world needs people like “Megan” or “Coach” if you ask me.
I love learning with Mrs. Postak because she is always teaching us new things. She makes me feel happy because I like her. She gives me hugs and makes school fun. She is the best teacher!
We get to do fun things like celebrate dot day and sort our m&ms and paint pictures. We learned about apples and got to taste them and have a caramel apple bar! Mrs. Postak makes learning fun. Go Mrs. Postak!
Have watched Megan for many many years and was thrilled when she achieved her goal of teaching very young students! She is simply the best - this from a fellow school teacher of the Stow Munroe Falls School District.
Megan is a wonderful teacher. She truly cares about all of her students.
When Megan stepped up to become out PTA president, she brought the same warmth, dedication, and leadership that make her such an incredible educator. She seamlessly took on the challenge, uniting parents, teachers, and staff with her thoughtful communication and unwavering commitment to our school community. Her tireless work ethic transferred from the classroom to out meetings making them well-run and brought some much needed fun to our PTA. Under her leadership, the PTA not only thrived but also felt more inclusive and supportive than ever before. She truly went above and beyond, and our entire school is better because of her.
I first met Megan when she coached my daughter's middle school basketball team. Her ability to connect with middle school girls and improve their basketball skills was noticeably special in that she did so with ease. She was (is) a warm demander. Her communication was kind and clear. She took time out of her life to hang out with her team bonding events. I was happy for my daughter and her friends to have such a good experience! Megan is a connector.
Megan was also a kindergarten teacher; AND several years later, I became the building principal at the school where Megan has taught for a few decades. She is a teacher who repeatedly builds a remarkable classroom community for the children who find themselves in her classroom each school year. She builds relationships with her students and their families. These relationships do not end when a child moves on to first grade. She remains part of her students' lives forever. She attends their special events (from sports to drama and everything in between) - graduation parties and beyond! This continues while she continues to create another amazing community year after year.
Her teaching is an amalgamation of glitter, intelligence, deep professional subject matter knowledge, extensive understanding of child development, passion for learning, flexible instructional strategies, high expectations and love. She is creative and innovative. Megan has a huge heart for all people. She is uniquely competitive which serves her well, as it is drives excellence in all areas of her life.
While what I see most frequently is her brilliant educational practice; and I have glimpses into the other areas of her life. She is an active, involved and supportive sister, daughter, mom, aunt, wife, and friend. She manages many roles with grace and significance in that in all venues, she makes a positive difference.
Changing someone's life doesn’t have to be a grandiose action. It often is influenced most by the small intimate things that encourage and uplift someone's heart, mind and spirit. That is exactly what Mrs. Postak does daily. Megan has a genuine heart for others, young and old. She is compassionate and loyal. She is reliable and generous. She takes the ordinary and makes it truly extraordinary and that goes for how she makes people feel about themselves. She has a way of making moments magical and making you feel not just seen and heard, but important, special and valued. She creates the ideal environment, both in her fun and lovely classroom and in her welcoming, warm demeanor, to allow our little ones to start their educational journey in the most inviting and supportive way. I see her love for her students transcend the classroom by encouraging their passions and talents and being there to cheer from the sidelines. I see it in the pictures of graduating seniors, beaming in cap and gown, who want a picture with their kindergarten teacher who meant so much to them. That is impact and that is love. Megan was made to be a kindergarten teacher. I wish I had had a kindergarten teacher half as patient, creative, genuine and supportive as Mrs. Postak :) She truly deserves the title Life Changer.
There are no words to describe how incredible Megan Postak is! she stole mine and my son's heart the instant we met at the kindergarten screening. She gave me a sense of comfort that I never felt before when it came to leaving my child. My son is diagnosed with severe ADHD and anxiety I didn't want to medicate him And he would get so overwhelmed in class he would act out cause he was too young to know how to deal with his diagnosis. Never once did she judge him instead she had her assistant take over and she went on a walk around the school grounds to calm my son by counting groundhog holes she knew exactly how to deal with him and she also comforted me when it came time to medicate him. I had also recently quit my job to go back to school full time Right before COVID happened and she was so helpful and non judgemental she has helped us in so many ways I can write a novel. And she always went above and beyond for everyone she made amazing videos and picture slides that would make me my friends and family cry crocodile tears cause you can tell how much love time and effort she put into making the kindergarten experience unforgettable! the mom's call it "the Postak experience" The ones who haven't had it wish they did and those who have are so grateful for her!! Megan Postak is the most beautiful wonderful extraordinary loving person I know! thank you for being so amazing Megan!
Mrs. Postak was my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher. To say she was only her teacher, would not be accurate. Megan is a supportive cheerleader to all of her students, a friend, a leader, a trustful and caring person with an immense amount of knowledge in education . Not only is Megan a teacher for one year of a child’s life, she continues year after year to support her students as they grow. My daughter is now a sophomore and the love and support she shows for my child hasn’t wavered over the years. Megan gives her students a poem and a book to read the night before Kindergarten. Along with the poem is a tiny bag of glitter that goes under the child’s pillow. My daughter carried the tiny bag of glitter in her backpack every year since. To this day, the glitter remains in her backpack as a reminder of the love and confidence Megan instilled in her. I can’t think of a more deserving teacher for this award.
Another example today of how much Megan cares about her students, inside and outside the classroom. Today was the last soccer game of the season for a number of her kindergarten students and surprised them by showing up. Their HUGE smiles and hugs upon her arrival showed how much it meant to them. Even better, watching countless kids of all ages seek her out to say hi. She has had a tremendous impact on our community and we’re all so lucky because of that!
I love Mrs. Postak! She is my Kindergarten teacher. She makes learning fun. My favorite part of the day is when we dance to a song in the morning. I love everything about the school day. My mom says I come home with the brightest smile on my face everyday excited to tell her all about the fun things I learned, often stating "it was a great, great, great, great, great, great, great day!" I'm glad that she came to my soccer game today - I felt so happy when I saw her. Mrs. Postak is the BEST!
We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher to start our son’s schooling journey! Mrs. Postak’s kindness, patience, and commitment to every child’s growth has made such a positive impact on our family. She’s been an incredible influence and truly set the tone for a lifelong love of learning. So deserving of this recognition and thank you for being such a life changer!
I love Mrs. Postak! She is awesome!
(Current kindergarten student)
Mrs. Postak is a very nice teacher. I had so much fun in kindergarten with her! She is sooooo nice and talented!
Ms. Postak was my 7 year olds K teacher and has my youngest this year. They both absolutely love her, and so do we as parents! My youngest was giving her hugs at school events even prior to being in her class. She is not only an incredible teacher in class but her dedication outside of the classroom for the fun school events, safety town, Kindergarten readiness etc. is above and beyond!!! You always see her smiling face. Her dedication to her students, school, and parents IS beyond AMAZING!!!!
Mrs. Postak made the transition to kindergarten such a positive experience for our daughter, and continues to be a positive presence in her life 4 years later!
Mrs. Postak has changed the lives of countless families in our community. As many people have commented, Megan is a phenomenal classroom educator in a million ways! But she positively impacts the lives of even more children and families beyond her classroom walls as well. Mrs. Postak organizes and teaches our neighborhood school's safety town for all incoming kindergarteners, she is one of the most active PTA members/leaders/board members (even serving multiple years as PTA President), she creatively coordinates and leads school assemblies, family festivals, reading nights, etc. I have no doubt there's so much more she does that I don't even realize is her creative genius at work! Plus she does it all with an infectious passion and creative enthusiasm that makes everything she touches superior because of her involvement.
My middle son was lucky to personally benefit from Mrs. Postak's "bonus role" of district Title 1 coordinator. Megan's program, and her excellent team, empower their students to believe in themselves every day! One of my favorite memories was when they hosted a family night with an "escape box" game that I assumed was rented or purchased. Ends up it was all original creativity and homemade resources, spearheaded by the brilliant Mrs. Postak! The activity was simple enough for struggling readers yet complex enough to keep the whole family enthusiastically engaged. That night there were even more stations with thoughtfully fun educational activities. The special attention to detail highlighted just how much Mrs. Postak, and the team she leads, genuinely care about the students in title 1.
Countless families in Stow-Munroe Falls have been changed for the better thanks to Mrs. Postak. Her passion and dedication for helping children has no limits. The students in our community are lucky to have such an amazingly dedicated educator in their corner to help them thrive!
Ms. Postak was my kindergarten teacher 18 years ago, to this day that is my most treasured year of school. The way she made me, along with every other child in her class, feel important and loved is a feeling I carry with me to this day. As someone who now teaches preschool I look back on the way she led her classroom with patience and compassion as a model on how to conduct my room. Any child that steps into her room will immediately feel at home and are the luckiest kids in the world. I still have the most love and respect for her 18 years later and can’t think of another person more deserving of this award.
Megan Postak is more than a teacher—she is a constant presence, a steadfast supporter, and a guiding light in the lives of her students and their families. She goes above and beyond the classroom in ways that few could ever imagine, showing up for her students at little league games, dance recitals, high school volleyball matches, and birthday celebrations. These aren’t occasional gestures; for the past 20 years, Megan has been a fixture at PTA family events, never missing an opportunity to celebrate and support the children in her care. Remarkably, she even served as PTA president for 3 years at a school where she didn’t have children of her own, a testament to her genuine commitment to the school community and the belief that every child deserves an advocate, cheerleader, and mentor.
Megan’s dedication does not end when her students leave her classroom. She stays connected with families long after their children have moved on, celebrating milestones, offering guidance, and maintaining relationships that span years—even decades. For her students and their families, Megan becomes part of their family, a trusted presence whose support is unwavering and whose care is deeply personal. She remembers birthdays, achievements, and struggles; she listens, encourages, and celebrates with a heart full of compassion.
What sets Megan apart is that her dedication is never about obligation—it is about love, care, and an authentic commitment to making every child feel seen, valued, and supported. She models what it means to be fully present, to show up for others without hesitation, and to build a community rooted in trust, encouragement, and kindness. Her students carry the lessons they learn from her far beyond academics; they carry the example of her integrity, her empathy, and her belief in their potential.
Megan Postak doesn’t just teach—she transforms lives. She turns classrooms into communities, students into confident learners, and families into extended families. Her impact is immeasurable, and the ripple effect of her care, dedication, and love will be felt by generations of students and families for years to come.
As a parent to a son now 21 years old that was lucky enough to have. Mrs. Postal as his kindergarten, she is to this day as engaged when she sees students from the past as she was when they were 5! She's by far one of the most influential teachers these kiddos are blessed to have in their lives!!
Sending your babies off to Kindergarten in an unfamiliar school is a frightening experience for some parents, including myself. Mrs. Postak was one of the first faces that greeted us at the door for Kindergarten screening. She had a kind, welcoming and warm presence that made some of those fears disappear. She embraced both my children and took them under her wing for 7 hours each day. They would come home with smiles on their faces and exciting stories to tell. I believe Mrs. Postak taught them more than just how to read, do addition facts, and eat their lunch at a table with friends. She taught them how to be a kind student, allowed them to gain confidence in themselves and their learning and supported them every step of the way. They became successful and woke up each day ready and willing to learn new things. She has a dedication to her students, families, and school district that is unremarkable. Every student is treated as if they were her own. Mrs. Postak is passionate about teaching and it definitely shows in her everyday actions. The compassion she has for watching her students grow, along with the motivation to provide an enriching environment, is evident in her every day teaching. Mrs. Postak has left a positive impact on both my children and we are so grateful for everything she has done!
Mrs. Postak is smart and gave me a lot of hugs. Thank you for teaching me.
Mrs. Postak is a good teacher, who is nice and smart. She helped me learn my Math.
I’m thrilled to support Mrs. Postak for this award! Two of my children have been lucky to be in Mrs. Postak’s kindergarten class, and to say she fosters a supportive learning environment for all students is an understatement. She creates a community in her classroom where each student feels comfortable, loved and appreciated for exactly who they are. She is an extremely warm and caring educator and person, and I know without a doubt my children will see lifelong benefits from having her as their teacher!
Nobody is more deserving to be recognized than Mrs. Postak! Her kindergarten classroom is the most welcoming, loving, encouraging, creative environment for all students to learn and thrive. She models patience, acceptance and kindness daily. Her dedication to the students extends beyond the classroom- she participates in school activities and other school related community events. Mrs. Postak motivates her students to be the best version of themselves and guides them all to reach their fullest potential. Her enthusiasm for her students and entire school community is unmatched!
Ms. Postak is such an awesome teacher who cares for her students so much. She is such a kind and joyful teacher who makes every student feel loved.
Megan Postak is truly a life changer. She had all four of my kids in kindergarten and she goes far beyond the role of a classroom teacher. She has dedicated countless hours to supporting students, families, and the school community. She pours her heart into everything she does, making every child feel loved, worthy, valued, and capable, no matter their abilities. Her impact doesn’t end when students leave her classroom; she continues to check in with them, attend their games and activities, and celebrate their successes long after they graduate. Her love for her students and her commitment to their growth makes her perfect for this award.
Megan Postak was my kindergarten teacher. She made the learning environment super safe and convenient. I always had fun in his classroom and made so many great memories that I even carry with me today. She didn’t stop caring about me when I left her classroom either, I’m a college student now and I still have Mrs Postak checking up on me. She truly was a special teacher and is a huge inspiration for me as I begin my teaching career.
Megan consistently advocated for students and the staff in the Title 1 program, and she was dedicated to supporting the success of both the program and Tutors.
One of the most important and influential teaching roles is that of a Kindergarten teacher. It comes with the challenge of meeting children from all circumstances and backgrounds, and discovering the unique key that will unlock each child’s mind to the magical, mysterious, and creative world of learning. My daughter, Megan Postak, is the “Keeper of the Keys.”
Megan’s journey as a teacher began long before she ever had her own classroom. At just four years old, she declared she wanted to be a teacher. Growing up, she often came with me to my dance studio, where she transformed the staff bathroom into her “classroom,” complete with pretend students, attendance books, class lists, and lesson plans. She assigned each of her imaginary students their own personalities and even graded their work. By middle school, she was already a natural mentor—children flocked to her, drawn to her warmth and enthusiasm. From the beginning, it was clear: Megan has always had a gift for connecting with kids.
From day one of Kindergarten, Megan captures the hearts of her students and their families—and she never lets go. For her, there are no goodbyes; only lifelong connections. She doesn’t just teach Kindergarten—she prepares her students for success in school and in life. Her devotion extends far beyond the classroom. She cheers from the stands at games, applauds at plays, attends award ceremonies, celebrates graduations, and even dances at weddings.
For Megan, every word and action is a teachable moment—an opportunity to build character, strengthen young minds, and create magical core memories. Her classroom is a flourishing garden, and she is its Master Gardener. With patience, intuition, and compassion, she discovers the unique learning style of each child, nurturing their growth and helping them bloom. That is a rare and remarkable gift.
Her husband, Mark, also deserves recognition. His steadfast support allows Megan to pour her heart into both her profession and their family as they raise two wonderful children together. Megan commits a great deal of her time to school events outside of her work day because she values the importance of being a part of her student’s lives outside of the classroom. The greatest award Megan could ever receive is the love, admiration, and gratitude of her students, their families, her colleagues, and her community.
And just as her impact on students continues long after Kindergarten, so does her service to her school and community. Teaching is not just a job for Megan—it is her calling, her passion, her life. Everyone fortunate enough to know her, whether student, parent, or colleague, is better for having crossed her path. I could not be more proud of my daughter, whose work changes lives every single day.
I have known Megan for over 20 years and can confidently say she is an amazing and inspiring person. Any student who gets to experience a year in her classroom is truly blessed! She provides a positive introduction to education in her Kindergarten class and continues to be a dynamic influence in her student’s lives as they progress through school. Megan is a leader within her community and a caring friend. To be around Megan is to feel seen and appreciated which is a gift to anyone, but especially to young learners!
Megan is super nice and super awesome and super fun. She’s bettered the lives of so many people with her time and generosity. Can’t think of anyone more deserving of an award.
Megan is an amazing teacher! She has been recognized in my district as educator that has made a profound difference both in the classroom and in the community as well. I was honored to recognize her work and to present her an Ohio House of Representatives commendation in recognition of her contributions to my district and our community! It has been an honor to witness the profound impact that she has had on the families in our community!
Megan is a teacher who will always make the success of her students a priority. She advocates for public education and all those who work so hard for their students. Megan would make a wonderful recipient for this award!
BOTH my boys were fortunate to have Megan as their Kindergarten teacher. She is kind, caring, and sees each child's strengths and room for gentle growth. As parents, we knew our kids were learning about themselves in a safe space with her each day.
Mrs. Postak is awesome. She does a lot with the kids, and takes photos of a lot of it so everyone gets to share in the kids' learning and fun! Thank you Mrs. Postak!
As a Resource Teacher, I have had the pleasure of sharing students with Megan. Her classroom is inclusive and accepting of all. She has a gift of making all her students feel loved, safe and eager to learn. Students thrive under her guidance and teaching. She is an amazing teacher and truly makes a difference in her students’ lives.
Megan is the most organized person I have ever met. She loves all of her students like they were her own kids. She has two amazing kids, who are always her priority and a loving husband who supports her 100%.
Megan is a phenomenal educator with many years of experience and knowledge. I’ve known Megan since high school- she’s dedicated, focused, creative, and caring. We attended the same college and both majored in early childhood education. Megan has always had an intense passion for wanting to make a difference in the lives of young children. She’s the epitome of the best teacher ever. Proud of you Megan!
While my kids have never had you as a teacher, I know you are the best out there! All of the students you have taught are so incredibly lucky to have had you!!
Mrs. Postak is nice and helpful
All 3 of my daughters were blessed to have Megan Postak as their kindergarten teacher. She is a gifted teacher and a wonderfully caring and compassionate human. She handled a classroom of 5 year olds with ease and fun. Megan is a compassionate, creative, ball of energy. She developed lasting relationships with my daughters in that one year. During their time at Riverview, she would recognize their needs and anxiety and jump right in. Her support of them continued through sports, senior nights, and beyond. She has had them watch her children, her nieces and nephew, and babysit for PTA meetings. There is a mutual trust and respect that was developed when these children were 5!! I have constantly told my daughters that it takes an army to raise children and make them amazing adults. We are thankful, blessed, and eternally grateful that Megan is part of our army! She is beyond deserving of this recognition!!
I am so proud to support Megan for this award! She is famous across our communities for being a warm, welcoming, caring educator. She builds lasting bonds with her students and their families. She goes above and beyond to build special memories and give her students meaningful experiences that they carry with them.
As her State Senator, I’ve worked with Megan to better our schools and I’ve personally seen her passion for public education. She is very deserving of this recognition!
Mrs. Postal taught my kids in kindergarten - they are now graduated but made sure they stopped to see her before they were done during their senior walk. She knew how to calm my mama heart when my kids went to school. She is dedicated to each child as an individual and celebrates their successes with them. Her love for teaching shows in her classroom not just in how she engages with students, but also in how she involves the community and families as well. She deserves this award and more!
Megan Postak is in her own league as an educator, community leader, and human being. She cares deeply. She shows up. She makes everyone feel important. She is an all around amazing person.
Megan was all three of my boys Kindergarten teacher where I always volunteered as a parent helper for special events. Each and every one of her classes I helped throughout the years felt like one big happy family. The classroom culture she created was full of love, compassion, and fun. You could see this in each of her little eager learners. The way she inspired them and sparked their love for learning will always be unforgettable to me. My boys have all grown up but Megan continues to show up to sporting events. She reaches out, asks about them, and asks about me to this day. Why? Because she cares and always will. Megan is so deserving of this award!

I had mrs Postak in kindergarten now i am in 8th grade and I still remember all of the fun memories I had with her as my teacher to this day she comes to my sports events and supports me I am really glad I was able to have her as my teacher.
Megan is a kindergarten teacher whose heart shines through in everything she does. Teaching isn’t just her job, it’s her calling. She pours her whole self into her classroom, creating a place where every child feels safe, loved, and excited to learn. To Megan, her students will always be “her kids,” no matter how old they grow or where life takes them. She celebrates their milestones, cheers for their successes, and stands beside them long after they’ve left her room.
At the center of her world is her family: her husband and their two children, Miles and Marlee, who are their greatest joy. Whether it’s big adventures or simple everyday moments, she treasures the time they spend together. Her love for Disney captures her spirit perfectly—joyful, magical, and full of wonder—and she carries that same spark into her teaching and her family life.
Megan is the kind of person who makes everyone she touches feel special, supported, and loved. Her legacy is not just in the lessons she teaches, but in the way she makes people believe in themselves and the magic of learning.
Megan is one of the most energetic, creative, caring, and compassionate teachers I know. She goes above and beyond not only for her students but also the staff around her. She’s her students biggest cheerleader and goes out her way to not only love and care for them while they are in her kindergarten classroom but all the way through graduation and beyond. Megan is more than deserving of this life changer award - she lives this out everyday!
As the current Mayor of the City of Stow and former Board of Education Member, I can attest to Megan’s highest quality to not only to her teaching ability, but rather her personal interest to each and everyone of her students. Megan exemplifies what every educator strives to accomplish. In our City of Stow and school district with has an enrollment of over 5000 students, Megan is the first to receive a Presidential Award. Megan is humble and kind to not only her students, but also to her colleagues, and parents. Speaking personally on behalf of our City of Stow we are so very proud to have this excellent educator in our Stow-Munroe Falls School District!
Mrs Postak was a key role model to all 3 of my kids as they entered kindergarten. She puts all her energy in making kids feel safe and sparks a love for learning. The best part is she continues to be a part of their lives after kindergarten by attending their sporting events in middle school and now in high school. She goes above and beyond. She is so positive and helpful not only when they were kindergarten but still to this day as they enter new phases of their education she continues to encourage them and support them all! She is simply the best and will always be a part of our lives. She is a gem and we need more teachers and educators like her.

Her commitment to service is equally evident in her leadership within the PTA, where she served as President from 2021–2024, spearheading initiatives that strengthened family engagement and student opportunities. She now continues her leadership as Corresponding Secretary (2024–present), ensuring communication and collaboration remain at the forefront.
At the district level, Megan has provided transformational leadership as the Title I Coordinator (2021–2025). In this role, she has developed programs that ensure equitable access to instruction and resources, directly improving academic outcomes for students most in need. She also has served on the District Leadership Team for over 8 years.

Her career is a testament to the profound impact one teacher can have—not only on her students, but also on her district, her state, and her community.
Mrs Postack is such an amazing role model and person. She was a fabulous kindergarten teacher and my biggest supporter. I’m a sophomore in High-school and she continues to support me and come to my volleyball games to this day. I have so much love for Mrs Postack and she deserves the world. I wish the best for her and she has made such a huge impact on my life. She has watched me grow throughout the years as a student and person. This is a well deserved award and I appreciate everything she has done for me. I have so much respect and love for this special teacher.
I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Megan Postak over the past couple of years. First, she served as my Title Coordinator. During that time I learned that she was a very dedicated leader who always has the best interests of children in her thoughts and deeds. Her organizational skills and efforts that went into leading our program were nothing short of amazing. As an example, at our family night event, parents were in awe at what a fun and well planned evening it was for the families. Next, I now work at the elementary school where Megan is a kindergarten teacher and I again see her skill as a teacher is unparalleled. She is kind, supportive, energetic and thorough in her work to educate children, support staff and connect with families. I feel very fortunate to have met Megan and look forward to learning from her as she is a fantastic role model for our profession.
Mrs. Postak was my kindergarten teacher. I’m now a freshman in high school and she still comes to support me at my games. She always made me feel safe and encouraged in the classroom. She is still one of my favorite teachers to this day.
Megan Postak makes all students at Riverview feel seen, safe, and loved. She goes above and beyond to support the students and is very involved and active in the PTA. Mrs. Postak is the definition of a dedicated educator who wants what is best for all students.
Megan is the most caring person I know. I’m sure she teaches her students to be just as caring to others.
We first met Megan through our community’s safety town camp and were lucky enough for our son to be assigned to her classroom for the current school year. Our hope going into kindergarten was our son’s excitement for learning would only grow and I can confidently say it has because of the impact Megan has made in such a short time! He comes home every day excited to share what they’ve learned – both academically as well as life lessons like kindness, sharing and cooperation. Reoccurring phrases over dinner are always “I can’t wait to see what we learn tomorrow in Kindergarten!” and “Ms. Postak sure is one terrific teacher!”. She is more than deserving of this award and recognition. Through her dedication to her classroom and students, she instills a genuine love of learning, which appears to be a great foundation for their educational journey based on all these other comments from former student or parents of students. We are so lucky our son gets to start off his school years with Ms. Postak!
Our three girls were all lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak as their kindergarten teacher, and I couldn't imagine it any other way. Mrs. Postak cares for each and every child as her own, fostering kindness, friendship, love, individuality and differences that make everyone who they are. Having her for kindergarten shaped the future for our girls, giving them understanding of how important it is to always be yourself, regardless of what others may think. She sets her students up for success by not only having a wonderful class curriculum to follow, but to also have fun, and even talk about hard, emotional things when need be. I will never forget the effort she pours into each and every student she has, including our girls, with her whole heart. She's just the best!
Mrs. Postak is a dedicated and compassionate kindergarten teacher. Known for her unwavering patience, creative teaching methods, and ability to make each child feel seen and valued, she has made a lasting impact on the lives of her young learners. Whether she's helping a child learn to read for the first time or supporting a student through a difficult transition, Mrs. Postak brings warmth, consistency, and enthusiasm to every part of her day.

Her classroom is a place where students feel safe, loved, and excited to learn — a true reflection of her belief that every child has the potential to thrive. This nomination is a well-deserved recognition of the profound difference she makes, not just in her classroom, but in the hearts of everyone around her.
I know Megan best through her work with the Teacher's Union. She is a very dedicated leader who advocates for all employees.
As a citizen of our community I hear about Megan as a teacher. People hope and pray their kids get Megan as a teacher. I have never heard a negative comment about her. She is very dedicated to her students, loves them all, and advocates for all their needs.
Mrs. Postak was my kindergarten teacher, and she has made the biggest impact on my life. From kindergarten all the way to now, as I am starting my first year as a kindergarten special education teacher, she has been there supporting and guiding me. She has always been there for me, whether it was coming to my sporting events, award ceremonies, graduations, graduation parties, or simply reaching out to check in and see if I needed anything. Growing up, I was always so excited to see Mrs. Postak and talk to her because I knew she was in my corner and such a positive light in my life. I can confidently say that I am where I am today because of the incredible influence she has had on my journey. She instilled in me the importance of being a lifelong learner, an advocate, and most importantly being my students’ biggest cheerleader. I now find myself doing the very same things with my kindergarteners that she did with me all those years ago, carrying her lessons with me every single day. I am so grateful to know Mrs. Postak and for the lasting impact she continues to have on my life.
Megan is an absolute treasure to the community. She is an incredibly dedicated teacher, not only to her own students but to each and every child she encounters. She is tireless in her commitment to the district, she is involved in so many activities to support the school. And she keeps up with the children years after they have moved on. My children are in high school and she always catches up with them at school events. She wasn’t even their kindergarten teacher but they know and love her because of her amazing way to connect with everyone. She is a great resource for parents also and makes time for everyone. And somehow she does all this while being an incredible mother as well!
We’ve had to honor of having Mrs. Postak for two of our children. From day one open house, with the welcome letter for each kid, we knew they’d be in great hands. It’s very apparent that she pours her heat and soul into her class, into each and every child. Now that our kids are older, they still speak fondly of kindergarten and always run to give Mrs. Postak a hug whenever they see her at school events. She’s such a frequent smiling face at every event, they actually think she sleeps at the school. Mrs. Postak has given our kids such an amazing start to their educational careers and we cannot say how much we appreciate her.
Megan Postak is a truly dedicated and compassionate educator who pours her heart into her kindergarten classroom every single day. Her love for her students and tireless work in both her school and the community make her so deserving of the LifeChanger of the Year award. She is making a real difference in young lives!
Mrs. Postak was my daughter’s kindergarten teacher and we cannot think of a better way to be introduced to school. Our kiddo learned to love reading, learning and creating. She thrived with Mrs. Postak as her kindergarten teacher and learned not only the normal kindergarten curriculum, but also learned how to be a good friend, how to be kind and sharing and how to be herself. As parents, you can only hope to have a partner in the teacher your child has. To say she was our partner with Ellie as she learned the basics of entering school is quite the understatement.
Since I have known Megan, she has always shown the most empathy and compassion towards students of all backgrounds and abilities. I just love that about her! She puts her whole heart into teaching young children, along with her own two children at home! Megan is a huge advocate for public education and continues to go above and beyond for her kindergarten students, along with children in her hometown of Wadsworth. Not only does Megan have a strength in teaching, she shows an incredible dedication to the Stow community. It’s evident that she always has her students and staff in mind when talking about what’s important for their growth and wellbeing. Megan is a special individual whom I am lucky to call a friend and colleague from a different school district. She is always someone I can go to when I have a question or concern about my students. Megan is so deserving of this awesome award!!
"Miss Meneer" now known as Mrs. Postal is a wonderful teacher. I agree that she made a lasting impressing on my oldest child who had her for kindergarten. She made school fun and my daughter enjoyed everything about it. I truly feel her having her as a teacher made all the difference in my daughter's success and enjoyment of school. We still have a relationship with Mrs. Postak all these years later. My daughter is in college now and whenever I mention seeing Mrs. Postal in our community, she is always happy to hear of her!
My son has autism and had Mrs. Postak for Kindergarten. He has now graduated and she continues to check on him…because she truly cares about her students! He and I both loved being in her classroom for many reasons. It was caring, loving and it was decorated so great!!!
Megan is an extraordinary kindergarten teacher whose passion, empathy, and unwavering drive inspire everyone around her. She approaches every day with determination to make a meaningful difference in her students’ lives. Her kindness and dedication create a nurturing environment where little learners feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
Her commitment goes beyond teaching — she changes lives by believing in each child’s potential and lifting them up with love and care. This award would be a perfect recognition of her incredible impact on our youngest learners and the community.
I am an administrator in the District that Megan works in and have known her for 20+ years. Megan is energetic, funny, smart and loves her littles with all her heart. I have always admired her passion and dedication!
I am so proud to know Mrs. Postak! Mrs. Postak is an incredible individual who works tirelessly to impact her students and the community around her positively. Mrs. Postak builds strong relationships with her students and their families, always going out of her way to ensure that everyone feels special and cared for. While Mrs. Postak is a naturally gifted teacher, she continually reflects on her work to ensure her students' continued success. Mrs. Postak cares deeply for her students and is deeply concerned about the impact she has on them as a teacher.
I had Mrs. Postak for my kindergarten teacher. She has been my favorite teacher that I have had so far! She is nice, good at math, and smart. She even let me dunk her in the dunk tank at school! I hope my sister has Mrs. Postak as a teacher next year!
Megan is a strong, tireless, and compassionate educator. I have had the pleasure of working with Megan for twenty years. She has remained steadfast throughout the ups and downs that educating small humans can bring. Her heart and passion for excellence shows in everything she does!
Megan is one of the rare examples of an educator who truly goes above and beyond for every student within our district. She is well respected within the school community and I had the privilege of working closely with her both as a member of the PTA board and then under her leadership as she took on a larger role as PTA President. My children did not have her as a teacher but she never treated them any different and took a genuine interest in getting to know them over the years they attended. Her love for her profession and children is clear and I have watched her extend her reach beyond the classroom with her PTA duties where she proudly continues working long past the school day ends to ensure every child has the best possible elementary experience. She is a remarkable example of an educator which is clear in her accomplishments in the classroom and throughout the district.
Hey girl! I feel like I wanted to strengthen my nomination to mirror the rubric for the scoring for that life changer award! Would you be willing to post this comment?

Whether she is engaging in community service, serving on a committee, or working one-on-one with a kindergartener learning to read for the first time, Megan approaches every role with the same compassion, energy, and determination.
Megan also possesses the ability to inspire others through her strong communication and public speaking skills. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and belief in the power of education allow her to serve as a spokesperson and ambassador for her students, her district, and the teaching profession itself. She is a true LifeChanger—someone whose impact radiates outward, transforming classrooms, communities, and lives for the better.
My son had Mrs. Postak her very first year of teaching, and we have remained friends all these years. She is always so positive and truly cares for her students. She is an amazing human, plain and simple.
Megan is not only a positive role model but also someone who leaves a lasting impact on the lives of her students. She was my son's kindergarten teacher. He graduated class of 2025 but still talks highly about being in her classroom. she creates a welcoming environment that makes a child’s first school experience both positive and memorable. She is truly one of the most dedicated and passionate educators I know. She cares deeply about each and every one of her students. I'm so glad that we are still in contact and that she got to see him graduate.
My son was lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak for kindergarten. I always felt like she went above and beyond for all of her students. The involvement that she has in her school community is also amazing. She spends so much of her free time attending school events, pta meetings, and preparing after school activities. My daughter does not go to school there yet, but knows Mrs. Postak by name and talks about her at home. I know my son will always remember how comfortable and loved she made him feel in his first year of elementary school and I will always be incredibly grateful of that as well. She is absolutely deserving of this award.
Megan couldn’t be more deserving of this award. There is no one more dedicated, creative, and hardworking wearing all the many hats that she does at our school. All the while smiling and interacting with each and every student and family she encounters.
When I think about what it means to be a “Life Changer,” the very first person who comes to mind is Mrs. Postak. She was my daughter Baylee’s kindergarten teacher at Riverview Elementary in 2016, and from the very beginning, I hoped and prayed Baylee would be placed in her class. I had heard so many wonderful things about the “amazing kindergarten teacher” at Riverview, and once Baylee entered Mrs. Postak’s room, I quickly understood why.
Mrs. Postak is more than just a teacher, she is a warm, genuine presence who truly sees her students. She notices everything, both big and small, and makes each child feel valued, cared for, and deeply loved. For Baylee, kindergarten was not just the start of her education, it was the start of a lifelong memory shaped by the kindness, patience, and encouragement of her teacher. Mrs. Postak created a classroom that felt like home, where every child was special and every moment mattered.
The impact she left on Baylee has lasted far beyond kindergarten. Throughout her years at Riverview, Baylee would always make a point to stop in and visit Mrs. Postak. When Baylee moved on to fifth grade, we made sure to take a picture with Mrs. Postak before leaving Riverview, a picture that symbolizes the lasting bond they built. To this day, Baylee still treasures a framed quote from her time with Mrs. Postak, it is a reminder of the love and inspiration she received in those early years.
What makes Mrs. Postak truly extraordinary is that her care doesn’t end when a student leaves her classroom. Baylee, now a ninth grader, continues to receive thoughtful messages and warm encouragement from Mrs. Postak. She has celebrated Baylee’s milestones, sent hugs through her words, and reminded her of the special connection they share. That level of devotion and lifelong support is rare and remarkable.
It is not an exaggeration to say that if every child had the opportunity to experience a “Mrs. Postak” in their life, the world would indeed be a much better place. She embodies the heart of teaching, not only by educating but by inspiring, nurturing, and leaving an everlasting imprint on her students’ lives. For these reasons and so many more, I wholeheartedly believe that Mrs. Postak deserves to be honored with the Life Changer Award.
I’ve known Megan for over 20 years. She is someone who thrives in a school setting and has always been a creative problem solver. She lights up when she discusses her job and her students, you can see and hear her immense passion for teaching. She is a loving person inside and out; her students are lucky to have her. I know for sure she has inspired many future teachers for the next generation.
I have known Megan since high school and was a roommate with her in college where we both studied early childhood education. Fast forward 20+ years and we work in neighboring districts. Since she was 18, and volunteering in classrooms at OU, Megan has been a change maker in the lives of students, parents, and staff. Her dedication to her students, professional development, and colleagues is truly remarkable. Megan has personally made me a better teacher. She has a depth of knowledge that she is always willing to share. Megan is extremely deserving of this recognition and award!
Megan pours her heart into her kindergarten classroom—nurturing, guiding, and inspiring her students to believe in themselves and dream big. This nomination is not just an honor for her, but a reflection of the countless lives she has touched with her passion, patience, and dedication.
It takes a truly special person to turn everyday teaching moments into life-changing ones—and Megan does that with grace, love, and joy. She creates a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, and valued.
She sparks curiosity through hands-on learning and play. She teaches kindness, empathy, and the importance of friendship. She partners with families to make sure every child feels supported at home and school. Finally, she believes in each child’s potential—even on the tough days.
She isn’t just preparing students for the next grade—she’s helping them believe in themselves, shaping their character, and giving them tools to thrive far beyond her classroom walls.
Way to go, Megan!!!
My son is now 21 years old, and he still talks about Mrs. Postak's kindness from when he was in Kindergarten. I volunteered in his classroom and was able to observe for myself her joy, enthusiasm, creativity, patience, and excellence in teaching. In fact, every time someone mentions to me that their child is about to begin Kindergarten, I bring up how wonderful Megan Postak is! She is absolutely deserving of this high honor.
Mrs. Postak was my kindergarten teacher a few years ago (maybe almost 20), but she made it very memorable. Her class really did become a community developing friends and building bonds that would last years. Not only was she a teacher for kindergarten but for life. Showing students to be inclusive and accepting, and how to treat others. She helps shape and build the next generation and community to become part of this world, and leave positive impacts on others lives.
I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak as a teacher many years ago. She has made a huge impact in my life and truly always puts her students first. She always made sure her students were learning and having fun while doing it. Teachers come and go you have them a school year than you move up a grade and have a different teacher. Some students forget all the teachers they have had but not me. I will never forget Mrs. Postak and the impact she’s made on my life. She truly is the teacher that everyone would want to have especially kindergarteners who are scared of their first year of school.
Megan is such a wonderful kindergarten teacher. All three of my children were lucky enough to have her, and as any parent knows, no two kids are alike. Yet Megan has a special gift for seeing each child as an individual and nurturing them in a way that brings out their very best.
Her impact goes far beyond those early years—my middle daughter will be graduating college soon as an education major, and I know that Megan’s example and influence played a big part in inspiring her to follow that path. We are so grateful for the care, patience, and encouragement Megan has poured into her students and the lasting impression she has made on our family.
I was able to learn a lot from Megan as a student teacher who got to spend time in her classroom working with a student of hers as the intervention specialists. I was not only able to observe the magic she created for the kindergartners in her room but also what teamwork should look like when making inclusion work. Her students truly adore her and are fully engaged, having fun and learning in her classroom! She’s an incredible educator !
Mrs. Postak was my youngest daughter, Becca’s kindergarten teacher back in 2006. Becca absolutely loved kindergarten and this is because Mrs. Postak made her feel important and loved.
Becca never forgot her teacher’s love, and always considered kindergarten her favorite grade.
I will always credit Mrs. Postak for making Becca feel loved during her first year of school. No other teacher made her feel the way Mrs. Postak did.
Megan is not only an incredible teacher, but also an exceptional person. My children were so fortunate to have her! With Megan, I never had to worry—she treats every student with such patience, kindness, and genuine care. The experiences she created for the kids were unforgettable and will always hold a special place in our hearts. She is truly one of the finest educators we’ve ever known.
Megan creates the most amazingly inclusive, fun and educational environment. She is a treasure to our district and my family! My son THRIVED under her direction.
She is not only an incredible kindergarten teacher but also a remarkable mentor and friend to everyone who knows her. Always putting others first, Megan is the kind of person who will dive in to help with any challenge, offering her time and heart without hesitation.
She stands up for what is right and advocates fiercely for her students—treating each and every one of them as if they were her own. Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom, inspiring countless students who dream of becoming teachers themselves.
Megan is an amazing mother, a dedicated educator, and truly an inspiration to us all. It is such an honor to know her!
I’ve known Megan for a few years now, thanks to Title 1. My son Rocco has been in and out of the program, and my daughter has always been a part of it. They absolutely adore their Title 1 teachers, but the program itself is just incredible. Every year, Megan organizes this amazing family night that’s so much fun! We all look forward to it.
In a single word, Mrs. Postak is "inspiring". Her contributions extend far beyond her classroom teacher duties, as she provides support to the school community. Mrs. Postak's presence is a beacon of warmth + positivity. Megan's leadership as PTA president, achieved through her collaborative efforts with a strong leadership crew. Her dedication was evident in her participation smiling as she was dunked over and over at the kickoff to the "Bulldog Dash" fundraiser, an event she played a key role in creating. As a parent, I am consistently impressed by Mrs. Postak's commitment to the community, which is exemplified by her attendance at events such as Friday night football game for kindergarten night. Witnessing her selflessness motivates me to become more involved in the school and community. Mrs. Postak's exceptional standard serves as a model for all.
Megan was our oldest daughter’s kindergarten teacher and she absolutely ignited a fire in her! Thanks to Megan, our daughter loved learning and reading. She learned to be a leader and how to be a compassionate friend. The culture that Megan creates in her classroom is one of welcoming and celebrating each child’s success, whether big or small.
We all know it takes a very special person to be a kindergarten teacher … and Megan has remained that incredibly special person in our life for nearly 20 years! She continues to ask about our daughter whenever we bump into each other. Just as she did for our child, we know she continues to go above and beyond for every one of her students by encouraging a love of learning. She is so much more than just a teacher … she IS a life changer!
I am the proud parent to two children that both had
Mrs. Postak for kindergarten at Riverview elementary. Megan is an amazing teacher who knows how to develop trusted connections with students. It was clear from the time my eldest was about to enter her classroom and the special notes she provided prior to the first day of school providing comfort and setting minds at ease during uncertainty and new beginnings that she had the best of intentions for all her students. She built immediate credibility with the kids and a safe space which was the perfect environment for children to learn and grow both academically and socially. And then I watched as it unfolded all again for my youngest child. I feel fortunate that both of my children were able to have her as their first elementary school teacher and absolutely give her my vote of endorsement for this recognition!
I've known Megan since grade school, and even back then, it was clear she was born to be a teacher. Her kindergarten classroom is truly magical....thoughtfully organized, welcoming, and full of joy. She gives 1000% to everything she does and pours her heart into her students. The kids absolutely adore her, and she would go above and beyond for any one of them. Megan has the patience of a saint, the passion of a true educator, and the kind of dedication that changes lives. She is more than deserving of this award.
Megan has always been students first since the first day she walked into her classroom.
She is so creative and can come up with ideas so quickly.
Megan has always been a team leader and won’t make solid decision unless it is what’s best for the children.
Her classroom is always welcoming for each child. She greets them with a smile and is there for anything they need at school or their home life.
Her nurturing helps them develop a love of learning as she’s the first teacher they get to spend a whole year worth. Many children will come back to visit her or remember her when it comes to special memories.
One of my favorite memories was when the kids “traveled” to Japan or Disney.
Megan brought back Kindergarten graduation and makes it a memorable day for them.
She’s their coach, cheerleader, counselor, advocate, leader, confidant, friend, and mother all wrapped up in a wonderful caring teacher.
I worked with Megan last year as the title one tutor. She was the title coordinator for the school district along with being a part-time kindergarten teacher. Juggling both of those jobs in itself is to be admired! She organized family, fun nights for the parents and students who are part of title one and her ideas were always so engaging and exciting for everyone. The students and parents at my school would rave to me for days and weeks after these events. She was always supportive to me in a new role and really allowed for constant collaboration and conversation throughout the title team. I have no doubt that she truly deserves any accolades she gets, including this wonderful award!
Megan is an outstanding educator who is very deserving of this award. Not only does she create an inviting and engaging classroom for her students, but also supports her colleagues to strive to be their best. In all of our years together in the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District, Megan has been heavily involved in all aspects of education, however, the foundation to all that she does is what is to advocate and do what is best for children. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside Megan for many years and know the future of many children has been impacted by being taught by her.
I was Megan's elementary school guidance counselor and I am so happy to be able to support her for this award. A major focus of my program was classroom guidance lessons, which involved teaching social skills, coping skills, and emotional awareness. My first rule was "Active Listening"--looking at the person who is speaking, and focusing on what is being said. I still remember her sitting in her desk and being totally engaged in the lessons. A few years ago, she made a positive comment about me and that #1rule in a Facebook post. I have been retired for 18 years, and it is such a delight to be able to keep in touch with her through social media. She has become one of the school district's most admired teachers, not only among her students, but among her colleagues. Every child deserves a teacher of Megan's caliber.
Megan is a person who goes out of her way to help everyone. I have not seen her in the class, but I have seen all the work she puts into getting ready for the children she teaches. Her family and friends are also recipients of her love and concern. I know our life has changed for the better for having her in it.
Megan is truly one of the most dedicated and passionate educators I know. She cares deeply about each and every one of her students, consistently giving her all to ensure they feel valued and supported. As a kindergarten teacher, she creates a warm, welcoming environment that makes a child’s first school experience both positive and memorable. Her teaching style is fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, making learning both effective and enjoyable. Megan is not only a positive role model but also someone who leaves a lasting impact on the lives of her students.
Megan Postak is a true asset to her school (Riverview Elementary School) and to her district (Stow Munroe Falls City School District), and she is beyond deserving of the National Life Group’s Life Changer of the Year Award. I met Megan when she was my daughter Charlie’s kindergarten teacher in academic year 2021-2022. Since that time, I have been lucky to get to know her better as we collaborated on multiple endeavors related to the numerous teaching and leadership roles Megan has occupied at both the school and district levels. Megan helps to foster a culture of excellence, pride, and inclusivity that uplifts everyone around her. She exemplifies professionalism in every sense and consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to nurturing an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn. Megan’s integrity and adherence to the highest ethical standards set a powerful example for students and colleagues alike. She makes meaningful and lasting impacts on young lives, including Charlie’s life and countless other students’ lives. It is clear that Megan is not just an outstanding educator but that she is a cornerstone of the school community. Megan’s unwavering dedication and influence resonate far beyond the classroom and contribute to a brighter future for the entire school and district.
I have had the privilege of knowing Megan for over 15 years, and she is a big reason I am the student I am today. I first met her when my sister started Kindergarten, but I didn’t experience the true magic of her teaching until I was in her class myself. It is rare for a junior in college to still be in touch with their Kindergarten teacher, and that speaks volumes about the passion and joy Megan brings to her students. She has an incredible gift for celebrating each child’s accomplishments as if they were her own, while also providing unwavering support through every challenge. The love for learning I carry today is because of her. Megan’s energy, kindness, and commitment to her students creates a spark that stays with you long after leaving her classroom. She makes learning exciting, meaningful, and unforgettable, both in and out of school. I am so thankful to have known Megan and experience her love and passion for her community and classroom. I couldn't say enough about how deserving she is of this award.
Megan Postak was one of my 6th grade students. In my 30 year teaching career she was the most mature student I ever had. Megan was always willing to help other students.
She wanted to be a teacher from the very beginning. At Megan’s request she helped me with various classroom activities. I knew I could always depend on her to do a good job.
Megan prepared for a teaching career her entire school life. The students in her class are fortunate to have a teacher who is passionate about teaching and will give them the best foundation to start school.
Mrs. Postak was my kindergarten teacher, and she was an awesome one. She fostered my love of learning and helped me grow into the person I am today. My little sister now has Mrs. Postak, and everyday she comes home and tells me all about the amazing time she had a school.
I had the privilege of having Ms. Meneer, now Mrs. Postak, as my very first “big girl” (kindergarten) teacher. From the very first day in her classroom, she left a lasting impact on my life. Now, at 22 and a college graduate, I often find myself reflecting on how teachers and leaders have shaped me into the woman I am today.
What stands out most about Mrs. Postak is her genuine kindness and care for her students. Those qualities, which are not always easy to extend to little kids who don’t always want to listen, became some of the most valuable lessons I carried with me from my early education. Her ability to lead with patience, compassion, and understanding modeled for me the kind of leadership that I will apply to my first “big girl job” next month.
She is more than deserving of this award, and I feel grateful every time I have the chance to share how she has impacted me and so many others!
My daughter in law never ceases to amaze me with her big heart and devotion to family and her teaching vocation. She exemplifies the greatest level of creativeness that is not only used to enhance her teaching program but intensifies her love for family and friends alike. A devoted teacher to get the kids a sound beginning to their school experience and the caring to follow them through their entire school career. We are proud of her outstanding devotion to family, friends, school staff and her precious charges. She deeply cares to be an outstanding person in all facets of her life.
Megan Postak is very deserving of this award! She is beyond dedicated to reaching all students in her classroom. They learn to love learning, question each other, take risks, and accept each other. She embodies positivity and love for the profession, but her students. In addition to putting in her time above and beyond what is expected… Megan supports colleagues and holds other positions within our district. It is a privilege to call her my colleague for many years, but also my friend!
I have worked with Megan Postak for many years in SMFCSD. Before 2020, I was a technology coach for 6 years, and Megan and I worked closely to help Kindergarten students utilize technology to enhance their learning. She always welcomed new technology into her room. I also assisted with STEM and STEAM activities when she and her 4th-grade buddies would work together. Megan is an amazing teacher and colleague. She amazes me with how well she teaches, in addition to having other positions that require her time and effort. She does every job with devotion and commitment. Megan is a wonderful educator, and I am proud to be her colleague and friend!
What can I say about Megan? She is the most amazing kindergarten teacher around. She spends countless hours at school as well as home making the experience for her young students to be the best a parent could ask for. She touches so many lives so early in their education and ther students never forget the impact she had on them. She continues to follow them well beyond her classroom into the rest of their educational experience, culminating in always attending their graduation from high school 12 years after they left her incredible learning environment. She is simply the best and a perfect representation of what a Lifechanger should be for the students.
Megan is a dedicated and tireless educator. She creates a space for kids to love school where she quickly becomes their favorite teacher of all time. As a Munroe Falls councilwoman, I know many families in the community who know and love her. As Megan's cousin, she is everyone's friend and always has a smile on her face.
Megan is a true life changer. Meeting her as a basketball coach in the 7th grade, she helped us grow into the best players we could be but also showed us a confident woman we could all aspire to become. Megan had a positive but fierce attitude that made for the perfect role model.
I had the pleasure of working under Megan’s leadership when she served as our district’s Title I coordinator. Megan has always worn many hats, so it was not surprising when she took on this new role. Megan made it a point to meet with tutors to offer support and have discussions about students. It was evident that she was deeply invested in the success of our struggling readers and wanted to do all she could to help our program be successful. In addition to her work as Title I coordinator, Megan is also a beloved teacher in our district, and has built herself a strong reputation. Teaching is not just what Megan does, it is truly a big part of who she is. I have no doubt that she has changed countless lives throughout her career.
I had the pleasure of being Megan’s first grade teacher. She was a high achieving, hard working exemplary student. She has not changed one bit. She is a kind hearted innovative teacher! She plans over the top activities for her students and is well loved by all the families of the students she teaches. During the senior walkthrough many of her former kindergartners visit her. She makes quite an impact on them that they want to see her before they graduate. She is very involved in her school district serving on many committees making an impact on other educators. She is dedicated and always striving to be the best educator she can be.
Megan is not only a phenomenal teacher, she is also a strong leader in our school district. She serves in multiple leadership roles, always advocating for what’s best for students and teachers. Megan is knowledgeable, passionate, and very deserving of this recognition!
I have known who Megan was for many years because her exemplary reputation as an educator preceded her. I had the chance to get to know her personally when she became the Title 1 coordinator for Stow-Munroe Falls schools. As a coordinator she always brought creativity and enthusiasm to our family events and also to our monthly meetings! She was always willing to go above and beyond in any capacity in which she worked. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her and witness her dedication to her students, colleagues and others whose lives she has touched!
Megan is not just a teacher, she is a reliable light in the lives of her students. For over twenty years, she has welcomed little kindergartners with warmth, curiosity, and patience, and helped them discover the joy of learning.
Her accolades, such as the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching, are well deserved, but I believe the real measure of her greatness is in the daily moments, the reassurance she gives to a nervous first day kindergartner, the encouragement she offers to a struggling learner, the laughter she shares during circle time.
At home, she is fiercely devoted, a mom to two, balancing love, support, and presence. As a partner, she is the kind of person who holds everything together when life is messy.
And let us not forget, beneath that warm, nurturing exterior is the spirit of an athlete. She has pushed herself, learned to fall and rise again, and brought that unshakeable determination into her classroom. It shows in her persistence, her refusal to give up on a child, and her continuous growth as an educator.
Megan, you are making an impact every single day. Your students are lucky to have you. Your community is better for you. And your family, I hope they know what a treasure you are.
Megan is the best mom, teacher, and aunt! She is so patient and caring to all. She is super creative and makes every event/experience memorable. So blessed to know her and consider her family!
Megan’s classroom approach develops the resilient learner who will develop the self empowerment to become successful in today’s complicated environment.
Mrs. Megan Postak is very deserving of the Life Changer award! Her dedication and passion for teaching oozes from her pores, and she goes above and beyond both inside and outside of the classroom. She has made a difference in the lives of so many students and families over the course of her teaching career. Megan works tirelessly to instill confidence and a love of learning in every student she welcomes into her classroom. She meets the needs of every learner while incorporating FUN into each and every day. It's wonderful to see how she continues to support her students long after they leave her classroom. She regularly attends events such as graduation parties and other milestones and celebrates their successes as if they were her own. Megan is truly one of a kind!
I 100% support Mrs. Postak for this award! Our 8th grader had her back in kinder, and she is currently our youngest son's kinder teacher. The impact she has had on both of them (and our family) is incredible. She creates a classroom where our children feel safe, celebrated and excited to learn. I always tell her that she set the bar high for our kid's expectations from their future teachers.
Mrs. Postak doesn't just teach - she builds confidence, kindness and a true love of learning. The way she honors each child's individuality and creates a sense of belonging is unmatched. After all these years, our oldest son who is in 8th grade, still talks about memories from her class and our youngest comes home every day eager to share what he learned and experienced. She created a love for learning for each of my kids, and I attribute my oldest son's success in school due to the steppingstones she created for him. I love how involved she is with the PTA and has also taught Safety Town for over 20 years and frequently attends events within the district to support all of her former students and colleagues. Thank you, Mrs Postak for having such a huge impact on everyone's lives!
Megan Postak is one of the most supportive and encouraging teachers I’ve ever met, and I feel grateful to call her family.
Her vibrant personality and appreciation for life is a strong motivator for anyone who pays attention. While she devotes her life to her kids and family, she also shares that same energy with her students.
Thanks for being who you are Megan, whoever you meet is lucky to know you. You’ve truly changed the lives of many for the better.
Mrs. Postak is the most referenced elementary teacher in the local area. Everyone knows who she is - has heard of or had the best experience with her. Her classroom is truly magical, and her dedication speaks for itself. I love seeing the bond between her and her former students as they reconnect at graduation. It’s truly a testament to the impact she has on her students. A nomination well deserved! Good luck, Megan!
Megan Postak is my cousin, and although I haven’t had a child in her classroom personally, I’ve heard countless stories from friends, colleagues, and neighbors about the incredible impact she’s had as a kindergarten teacher. Children absolutely love having her — and it’s clear why. She creates a classroom where every child feels seen, included, and valued.
Kindergarten is such a foundational year, and having a kind, inclusive teacher like Megan can shape how kids feel about school for years to come.
I first met Megan Postak as my own children started kindergarten at Riverview. I could tell then how much joy and pride Ms Postak took in her classroom, her students, and her teaching. You can see through her smile how much she loves her students and how much her students love her.
Once both of my kids were in school, I decided to get back into teaching myself. I became a Title 1 Reading teacher for Stow Munroe Schools. Mrs Postak was not only teaching kindergarten, but was also the Title 1 coordinator. She devoted countless hours improving our program, working with the teachers, and making sure we had the support we needed to do our jobs. She was always available to give advice and guidance, and answer our questions.
Megan gives 110% to everything she does. I have enjoyed working with her in the Title program!
Megan Postak is the kind of colleague who elevates everyone around her. Her dedication to students, staff, and the broader school community is unmatched. Whether she's serving on multiple committees, volunteering her time well beyond the workday, or showing up at after school events to support both current and former students, Megan leads with heart and purpose. Her advocacy for colleagues and her efforts to build strong partnerships with district leaders reflect her deep commitment to collaboration and progress.
Her love for her students is not only witnessed—it’s felt. It’s in the way she speaks about them, shows up for them, and invests in their success. That same love radiates in her role as a mother, where her devotion to her own children is equally inspiring. Megan is a trusted voice among her peers; colleagues consistently seek out her advice, knowing it comes from a place of wisdom, care, and integrity. She is a cornerstone of our community, and we are all better for having her in it.
Megan’s commitment to the children she educates is truly amazing! A life changer indeed!
Megan Postak is a wonderful teacher. She has a way of making everyone feel special and loved. I believe her students are so lucky to have her. I am a guardian of Jeremiah who had her for two years. He was held back. He still talks about her. He is in six grade. She is the teacher you remember your whole life.
Megan Postak is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever met. You will not meet another teacher who truly cares about her students more than she does. She goes above and beyond to make her students of all abilities feel loved and welcomed, and not just while they are in her class. Even after they graduate, she continues to check in with them and love them. She really is deserving of this award. She has impacted so many lives. She genuinely has committed herself to making her school and community a better place. All four of my children have had her in class and she taught them how to read, how to make friends, how to be kind to others, how to line up, how to be confident in themselves, and the list could go on forever. You will not find another teacher more passionate about pouring into the next generation and making a difference than Megan Postak.
Megan Postak has impacted hundreds of lives with her positive energy, nurturing love and commitment to discovering the potential of each child that comes through her classroom door. Year after year, graduating students, students entering the professional world, and even those still in their formative years, invite her to share in their hallmark moments because they appreciate the impact she had on them as kindergartners. Such young, impressionable minds need the most patient and creative of teachers to take the time and often, explore out-of-the-box techniques, to fully realize each individual’s capacity for learning. Megan is that teacher. She has changed many young lives for the better so this award is perfectly suited for her.
I had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Postak as I was entering Kindergarten, and even now as I am in my second year of college, I can confidently say she remains one of the most influential people in my life. Not only did she show up for me while I was her student and support me in kickstarting my academic journey, but she has continued to support me and stand behind me far beyond a classroom setting. As I grew up throughout Stow schools, it became abundantly clear that at almost every sporting event, award ceremony, or special moment in one of her students' lives, Mrs. Postak would be there supporting them, whether she had the student 10 years prior or 1 year prior. She has always had the gift of making every person, including myself, who comes into her life feel safe, special, and like they have constant support. Mrs. Postak is one of the main reasons I have reached the point I am at now, and I will forever be grateful for the impact she has had on my life.
Megan Postak deserves The Life Changer of the Year award for the countless lives she impacts. The passion she has for students to learn is seen everywhere. She inspires students to make connections to real-life mathematical events. She asks questions to extend their thinking and listens to their understanding. Students in her class are encouraged to model their thinking by choosing the “tool” that makes the most sense to them. Every student in the class has a voice and something to add to the discussion and investigation in her class. Students feel comfortable talking about their thinking, asking questions, and making mistakes. Megan creates this environment to learn.
In the classroom, Megan is aware of students' needs in all subjects. She uses a variety of formative and informative assessments to monitor this progress towards mastery, as evidenced by consistent learning growth targets being met. She meets all students where they are in the learning process. Megan conferences with students to identify their thinking processes and misconceptions. She guides them to reflect on their thinking by asking questions that evoke thought. Students love her!
The dedication she has for high levels of academics is mirrored by her commitment to all of her students and families in our district. She inspires and cheers on these student for their entire lives!
There is no teacher more deserving of the Life Changer of the Year award than Megan Postak. I have known Megan for more than fifteen years and as a fellow educator, I can honestly say that I’ve never met a teacher as dedicated as Megan. Her students become “her kids” the minute they walk in the door of her classroom. The time, effort, and creativity that she puts into her lessons and classroom environment benefit every student and their unique learning styles. Students remember Mrs. Postak well beyond their elementary years. Many invite her to their high school activities and their graduation parties. Aside from the work in her classroom, Megan can be found giving her time to almost every facet of Stow schools. She runs the Safety Town program for incoming kindergarten students, is President of her school’s PTA and is treasurer of the Stow Teachers’ Association. Megan is a leader to not only her students, but to many other educators in her district. Megan’s dedication to the Stow community, her students, her co-workers and to the school district make her more than deserving of this award. I can’t think of a better educator to be honored.
Megan is the true definition of a life changer- bringing knowledge, passion, and determination to everything she does. Her unwavering commitment to her students and Riverview staff shines through in her words and actions every single day. She made such a positive impact on me when I started as a tutor at Riverview and continues 11 years later. A true go-getter, Megan leads with vision and strength, always striving to make her Riverview and Stow Munroe Falls City Schools a better place. Her leadership is not only inspiring but transformative—empowering others, fostering growth, and creating an environment where students and educators thrive. If anyone is deserving of this award, it is Megan Postak!
Megan Postak is someone I am truly lucky to call both a friend and a colleague. She is the kind of educator who leaves a lasting mark, not only on her students and families, but on her fellow staff members and our entire school community. Megan goes above and beyond every single day, not only in her role as an outstanding kindergarten teacher, but also as our grade-level curriculum facilitator, Title I coordinator, and union secretary. She juggles these many responsibilities with grace, professionalism, and unwavering commitment.
What sets Megan apart is her genuine willingness to help and lift others up. She freely shares her expertise, mentors new teachers, and provides steady support to her colleagues, always with kindness and encouragement. Her leadership has strengthened our district’s instructional practices, and helped build a nurturing environment for both students and staff.
Megan’s dedication to excellence, integrity, and service makes her an invaluable resource to our district. She embodies the highest standards of leadership and professionalism while remaining approachable and deeply caring. It is no surprise that Megan is admired and loved by everyone here in Stow-Munroe Falls. She is a true LifeChanger—someone who inspires others, creates positive change, and helps our school community thrive.
Even though we haven’t been fortunate enough to have Megan as a teacher for my own children, I can’t count the number of times people light up when they find out she’s my cousin and share how wonderful she is as a teacher. It’s clear to everyone around her how much she cares for her students—not just in school, but in their lives as a whole. Hearing the way people talk about the difference she has made in their children’s lives makes me so proud of her. Megan truly puts her heart into teaching, and she’s the kind of teacher every parent hopes their child will have, especially to start their journey in learning.
Megan is an amazing person and teacher!
There are some teachers who leave a mark not just for a year, but for a lifetime — and for our family, that teacher is Mrs. Postak. From the very first day of Safety Town, she opened her heart to my children and our entire family, creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for learning.
Kindergarten can be a big, sometimes overwhelming transition for both children (and their moms!), but Mrs. Postak made it easy. I knew my boys were loved and cared for every day at school.
But what is truly remarkable is that her impact didn’t stop when the kindergarten year ended. Even now, with my children grown, Mrs. Postak continues to be a friend to myself and my boys, a presence in their lives that reminds us of how genuine her care has always been. Not many teachers can say they have walked with their students from the very first steps of school into adulthood, showing up regularly for her students…. attending elementary sporting events during her free time and evenn attending graduation parties years later. She does these things for all of her students in the community, not just mine.
As a parent, there is no greater gift than knowing your child’s first school experience was filled with love, encouragement, and joy. Mrs. Postak pours her heart into her classroom and into the lives of her students.
For all of this and so much more, we will forever hold Mrs. Postak in our hearts. Any family who has the privilege of having her as a teacher knows just how extraordinary she is.
Mrs. Postak was all 3 of my kids Kindergarten teacher and still is such a wonderful role model for each of them to this day. I also had the privilege of working with her. There are few roles in the world as important or as challenging as that of a kindergarten teacher. It takes a truly special person to greet each day with patience, joy, and unwavering dedication to young children. Megan is that kind of person, and so much more.
From the moment you step into her classroom, it’s clear that you’re entering a space filled with warmth, creativity, and heart. Megan sees each child not just as a student, but as a whole person with unique dreams, emotions, and potential. She fosters an environment where every child feels safe, loved, and empowered to explore the world around them. Whether she’s teaching ABCs, helping little ones navigate their feelings, or turning everyday moments into magical learning experiences, Megan brings intention and love to it all.
But what makes her truly exceptional isn’t just her talent in teaching it’s who she is as a person. Her compassion is limitless. Her kindness is genuine and constant. Her presence is calming and uplifting. She treats everyone’s students, families, colleagues, and friends with the same empathy, respect, and care that define everything she does.
Megan understands that teaching is about so much more than lessons and routines. It’s about shaping hearts, building confidence, and laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. And the impact she makes doesn’t end when the school bell rings. Her former students carry her encouragement with them for years. Parents remember her as the one who made their child’s first school experience joyful and meaningful. And those who work alongside her know they are better educators and better people for having her in their lives.
To say that Megan is a fantastic kindergarten teacher is absolutely true but still only scratches the surface. She is a rare and remarkable soul who brings light to every life she touches, both inside and outside the classroom. The world is a better place because of her!!
My son had Mrs. Postak for kindergarten. He was among the first kindergarten classes to attend school during the covid era. It was a nerve wracking time for many little ones during that time. Masks, distance and so many changes. Mrs. Postak always made my son and the other children feel safe, secured and cared for. She built up esteems, helped brighten their characters, and gave them the tools to grow as students and to build friendships with others in a new environment. My son is in 5th and has had some awesome teachers, but there’s only one that he holds near and dear and that’s Mrs. Postak. We are so blessed and grateful to have had her as a teacher and we love staying in touch with her!
Megan is one of those magical teachers who makes everyone in her classroom blossom, no matter their background or abilities. We have had three daughters in her class, and each one has grown significantly working with Megan, all while being so happy and excited about learning. Megan cares so much for each student and makes sure they all enjoy school and build a genuine love of learning. I can’t say enough about how much she’s meant to our family, or how much she means to our community.
My family has had the privilege of having all three of our children in Megan Postak’s kindergarten classroom. From the moment you enter the classroom, it is filled with color, stations, books, and play. It is the epitome of what a kindergarten classroom should be. But all those things aside, what makes the classroom truly special is the woman standing at the door, greeting the children and their families like we are HER family. Mrs. Postak’s warm and sweet demeanor is what makes her classroom stand out above the rest.
My three children are each so different from the other, and Megan connected with each of them individually and planted the seeds for them to love learning. They were happy to get out of the car each morning (a huge win for any parent doing drop off), and hopped in the car at the end of the day with a huge smile and a fun anecdote about their day.
And even now, years later, she remembers them specifically and greets them in that same warm, sweet way she did when we first entered her classroom. My littlest still says he plans to sneak back into his kindergarten classroom and travel back to those days when Mrs. Postak created magic in that little room.
Mrs. Postak is such a precious gift to our district, to our family, and to the children - both past and present - who spend their days with her.
We just transferred into the school system and she made us feel so welcomed and you could see the care she has for the children. I could not have asked for a better teacher!
Megan Postak was my children’s kindergarten teacher. From the moment we walked through the door at open house we knew she was simply the best! Her welcoming environment, warm and loving personality eased my children into their educational journey. They both absolutely loved and adored her. They thrived and learned throughout the year. Both becoming strong in math, readers and writers! The ability to also connect with parents and her communication skills were amazing. Unfortunately, my son had Megan during the Covid shut down. We were all so scared about how these kindergartners would learn…not with Megan. She held morning meetings, personally dropped off supplies or joined birthday drive-bys and held reading groups! All doing this while also having her own children at home. I am a teacher as well and she went above and beyond to help and support the kids and the parents. I was able to hear first hand the love she had for these kiddos and see how hard she worked that year. It still brings tears to my eyes. Even now, Megan attends sporting events for my children and they get so excited to see her. She is an exceptional person, a wonderful friend and a phenomenal teacher! We are so grateful for her and she is very deserving of this award!
I had the honor and privilege of meeting and working with Megan when we were undergrads studying to be teachers. We worked very closely in a cohort together and that is when she fell in love with kindergarten. That was a LONG time ago and her passion and dedication grows more and more each year. She has always been the definition of a teacher, kind, dependable, trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable and energetic! I can say with certainty that she has always been a leader and has always shined! She is loved by all and he passion is contagious. I couldn't think of a more deserving recipient of this amazing award!
I have a twin brother who has autism. Growing up, he faced many challenges when it came to forming meaningful connections—even with those closest to him. But there was one person he absolutely adored: “Ms. Meneer!” (her maiden name). He would shout her name with pure joy whenever she was mentioned.
My brother sees the world in black and white—people are either kind or unkind, with little in between. But I truly believe he saw her in color. She was his rainbow. It was like that moment in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy steps into a world of color—every time my brother got to see her, that’s what it felt like.
Even now, more than 20 years later, he still talks about her with such affection.
Now known as Mrs. Postak, she embodies kindness, inclusiveness, and genuine love. She didn’t just teach lessons—she helped my brother understand what it means to connect with others, to be seen, and to be valued.
Although I never had the honor of being in her classroom myself, she always made me feel like I was one of her students. She looked out for both of us, came to our high school theater performances, and supported us in ways that extended far beyond the classroom.
Mrs. Postak is not only an extraordinary teacher—she is an extraordinary human being. For so many students, she is the rainbow that lights their path. And for my brother, she always will be.
I had the privilege of having Mrs.Postak as my kindergarten teacher, and from the very beginning she made me feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Her classroom was more than just a place to learn. It was a place where every child felt important and supported. She has always gone above and beyond to make a difference in lives of her students and everyone around her. I carry the lessons and advice she taught me into my everyday life. The values, patience, and kindness she instilled in me have shaped who i am as a person and continue to guide the way i interact with the world. Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and i am living proof of how deeply she changes lives.
Where do I even begin with Mrs. Postak?!
I first met her in the fall of 2021, though I had already heard her name mentioned many times before — always with the highest praise. She was described to me as a wonderful person and an incredible Kindergarten teacher, and I can say with absolute certainty that she has more than lived up to that reputation.
We feel beyond fortunate that all three of our daughters have had the privilege of starting their school journeys with Mrs. Postak. Her love and passion for teaching are evident in everything she does, but what’s even more remarkable is the way she truly sees and connects with each individual student.
After just the second day of school, my youngest came home and told me that her favorite part of the day wasn’t recess or even seeing her friends — it was getting to see Mrs. Postak. That says it all.
She is kind, caring, thoughtful, and unwaveringly dependable. Mrs. Postak isn’t just a phenomenal teacher — she’s the kind of person who leaves a lasting impact on both her students and their families. We are so grateful for her.
I enthusiastically support the LifeChanger of the Year nomination for Mrs. Postak, as she has profoundly impacted the lives of our elementary school, district, community, my family, and me. My family moved from out of state to this community in Ohio seven years ago, just as the school year was slated to begin. Our oldest daughter was five years old and beginning kindergarten. Naturally, we were apprehensive about this transition and were still unfamiliar with the school and community. Mrs. Postak was absolutely INCREDIBLE. She welcomed my daughter and our family with open arms – she nurtured her academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the year. She was a helpful resource for us, as parents, navigating a new community. When Covid struck that Spring of 2020, Mrs. Postak established a seamless transition to online learning and went above and beyond to secure resources and hand deliver books, flashcards, learning packets, and more (safely, socially distanced of course). She was phenomenal at engaging students individually as well as maintaining a class community with daily virtual meets to try to maintain the routine that five and six year olds so desperately need. Since the 2019-2020 school year, I have had two more daughters go on to have Mrs. Postak for a teacher. Their lives have been equally impacted, supported, and enhanced by Mrs. Postak in this introductory year to elementary school.
Not only is Mrs. Postak an incredible educator, but she is a natural leader at all levels within the school and district. She has served as PTA President for three years and on the board for an additional two years, she’s served on the board of the teacher’s union for several years, she attends and participates in school board meetings, and she served as the District’s Title Coordinator for many years. Through her various leadership roles, she has been and continues to be a strong advocate and voice for all students.
Mrs. Postak is a strong proponent of her community, and she follows the lives of her former students with pride. She often attends various sporting events for current and past students and can be found attending several scholarship and other award ceremonies throughout the spring months. The district started a new tradition several years ago where kindergarteners parade around the football stadium before the first home football game. I’ll never forget walking around the track that first year with my daughter and just being in awe at how many parents, families, staff, and high school students said hello to and embraced Mrs. Postak throughout the entire event. I have had the pleasure of serving on the PTA’s scholarship committee the last several years, and nearly every applicant writes about their positive kindergarten experience and the lasting impact Mrs. Postak has had on their educational journey.
Mrs. Postak captivates audiences of all ages with her clear and lively public speaking skills. She is always the chosen speaker for various award events, pep rallies, and other PTA events. Megan Postak embodies all that it means to be a LifeChanger, and she would be an incredible ambassador for the Group.
Mrs. Postak is an amazing teacher, mentor and ambassador of creativity. Her passion for education and personal growth is apparent in the time and attention she puts in to her students, classroom and overall academic environment. She not only understands the importance of instilling a love of curiosity and learning but also embraces that it’s not a one size fits all notion. She not only creates a deep connection with her students but fosters teamwork and empathy between her students. This is not only true for her own students but all students at the school. My older son did not have her for kindergarten but is very familiar with her and is comfortable with her as a resource of information and comfort. Which can be difficult to create with any child but especially for those that are neurodivergent. I’ve been lucky to start my PTA journey with her as the PTA president and the kindergarten teacher of my youngest child. This has inspired me to be an active member of my children's’ education and their school experience. She made something that seemed intimidating and a little scary second nature and fun! Her attention to detail (e.g. a cozy reading corner with lots of books and stuffed animals of favorite characters, hands on play and exploration of educational concepts) makes learning an adventure to explore and not just a series of tasks. There is no doubt that she more than worthy of this honor but so much more.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Mrs. Postak and what her teaching and approach has done for both my children. She creates a warm, safe environment for all her students…my two children had very different needs and she understood how to handle their unique circumstances, making them feel safe and starting off their school journey better than I could have ever hoped for. We still see Mrs. Postak today and they love running into her. She carries her passion and love for her students well beyond the time they are in her classroom and goes above the standard for how a teacher can impact their students, not just for one year but for a lifetime. We love Mrs. Postak!!
Mrs. Postak (who I knew as Mrs. Meneer) was my kindergarten teacher 14 years ago, and she has truly been a life changer for me. From the very beginning, she made me fall in love with learning and showed me how exciting and meaningful school could be. Her kindness, patience, and strength left a mark on me that I have carried all these years. She made every child feel important and capable, and she built a classroom that felt like a second home.
I had the incredible opportunity to return years later and student teach with her during high school. Watching her as both a former student and as a future educator gave me a whole new perspective. I got to see firsthand the impact she continues to have on her students, the way she models compassion and resilience, and the way she inspires others just by being herself. She is one of the biggest reasons I chose to pursue teaching as my own career, because I want to give my future students the same love, guidance, and encouragement she gave me.
Mrs. Postak is the definition of a strong, inspiring woman who changes lives every single day. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the “Life Changer of the Year” award.
Megan Postak was the first teacher that was my son’s first impression! I as a mother, was afforded the opportunity to parent teacher that year. I witnessed her work firsthand! She also, influenced my son to become the man he about to be at the end June,2026! He will be graduating KSU with his teaching degree and English degree, with an emphasis on high school students. Megan molded my son in a way a parent cannot. She doesn’t just teach, she builds a lifelong love for her students in education! If anyone deserves this honor, she definitely does!
Megan Postak is one of those teachers your child will never forget for all of the right reasons. My daughter, Aria, was lucky enough to have Mrs. Postak as her kindergarten teacher. As soon as a student is in Mrs. Postak’s class, they are family. You can feel the positivity, the enthusiasm, and the love she has for what she does and for the children. She starts with seeds and watches them grow like in the book she reads at kindergarten graduation with tears of pride for how much they learned, but also mixed with sadness to see them go. Aria was excited to go to school every single day and as an autism mom, that’s not always the norm to hear. Mrs. Postak started that true love of learning in my kid and I’ll be forever grateful for the positive experience Aria had that year. When my daughter had to transfer to a different elementary school in our same district, Megan would visit her classroom on days when she was working with other teachers in that building. Aria would come home excited on those days saying “I got to see Mrs. Postak today!” and she’d go on and on about how much she loves her kindergarten teacher.
Megan puts her all in educating not only the students, but also other teachers in the district. She is a true leader and one for colleagues to look up to. The knowledge, dedication, and experience she has impacts others through her role as the Title Services Coordinator. Her dedication makes Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools an excellent place to learn for all of our children. Megan Postak is a teacher the students, parents, and community will always remember, love, and be grateful she’s a part of our district.
Mrs. Postak is one of the most caring and dedicated teachers. She is confident in her abilities and students and families trust her immensely. She leads the way amongst other staff, by being a great example and volunteering her time outside of her contract because she loves Riverview and its families. She does what she says she will do and often will go above that. When my son was in her class I knew he was receiving an amazing start to his education academically and in being cared for. She is brave and ready to take on whatever is before her whether that’s a student having a hard time or a room full of first time kindergarten parents. She speaks clearly and confidently in many different atmospheres, and people stop to listen. She knows the beauty in diversity and embraces everyone despite family make up, race, and ability. I am forever grateful for the year my son spent with Mrs. Postak and the time I get to spend with her planning for things with the pta.
Being a kindergarten teacher represents a profound responsibility, one that Megan Postak embraces with extraordinary dedication. Kindergarten marks a child's initial experience in formal education—serving not only as the cornerstone of academic learning, but also as the foundation for their relationship with the educational journey ahead. I remain deeply grateful that my daughter had the privilege of beginning her academic career under Megan Postak's exceptional guidance.
Throughout the four years my daughter has been at Riverview, Megan has consistently demonstrated her remarkable capabilities as an educator. She masterfully cultivates an enriching learning environment where children develop essential academic skills while simultaneously creating opportunities for students to flourish as individuals by nurturing and expanding upon their unique interests. Megan prioritizes her students' needs and best interests, ensuring that every decision she makes serves to benefit the children in her care.
Beyond her excellence in the classroom, Megan contributes meaningfully to the broader school community through her active participation in Riverview's PTA, where she has served on the board for several consecutive years. While serving as president on the PTA board, her main initiative was purposefully planning and implementing free programs and activities that would include all students and their families to foster a greater sense of community and belonging. Additionally, Megan's distinguished achievements speak volumes about her commitment to education: she has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as both district and state winner of the "Put the T in PTA" award, the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.
Megan's influence extends far beyond her individual classroom through her role as Title Services Coordinator, where she has made a significant impact on student growth and learning throughout the entire Stow-Munroe Falls School District. Her commitment to building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families creates lasting positive effects on all who have had the privilege of interacting with her. Megan truly exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond in service to education and her community.
