Ms. Michaud's knowledge and expertise in special education are unmatched, but what makes her stand out is her willingness to step in wherever she is needed. Whether it's working directly with students, collaborating with teachers, or guiding families through challenging situations, she does it all with compassion, patience, and professionalism. She creates a positive school atmosphere by fostering teamwork, uplifting colleagues, and modeling a strong work ethic that inspires others.

Her leadership extends well beyond her role, as she is pivotal in problem-solving, developing plans for students, and helping staff feel supported and confident in meeting diverse needs. She consistently demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, treating every student and family with dignity and respect.

"Because of her dedication, many of our most vulnerable students have been able to thrive academically and emotionally," said the nominator. "Our staff often refers to her as the 'backbone' of our special education program, and it is hard to imagine our school running without her guidance and commitment. She not only changes the lives of students, but she also strengthens the entire school community."
