Tyrone Robinson was nominated by his friend, Delma Moreno.
Mr. Robinson started teaching in 2007 in Florida. He was promoted to assistant principal in 2008. In November, he moved backed to Texas to teach at Marshall High School. He taught biology and started a mentor program in 2011 for young men. Today, as a district administrator, Mr. Robinson goes around to every school in the district coaching teachers and working with students across all grade levels. His mentor program has grown, as it now involves other men and all schools in Marshall ISD. In 2018, Mr. Robinson received the MISD Teacher of the Year, as well as recoginition for being the most influential teacher of several students in the top 10%.
Tyrone is a remarkable example of leadership. He is encouraging and uplifting those around him. He consistently puts the needs of others first and everything he does, he does with excellence.

Mr. Robinson has been a big part of the program that supports our Spanish Lab. I have been a Instructional Aide at Marshall High School for 6 years now. This year we have a updated program
with new application. Mr. Robinson has made this transition as smooth as it can be . He also keeps
the positive attitude that helps motivate us to the new program. There are times that he has come into the Lab The student's benefit from his mentoring.

Robinson is a humble man, who is kind and knowledgable. I’ve only known him for a short time and he’s been helpful with technology. I’ve attended two trainings for the district on professional development days and he’s always prepared and assisting with the curriculum making it practical. He is passionate for Educators and he will find a way to make sure that in technology we are on the cutting edge.
Mr. Robinson is a wonderful leader in our school district. He is always ready to lend a helping hand when someone needs it. Our district is better because of him!

Mr. Robinson was the BEST biology teacher I had! Not only did he teach biology, but he taught life lessons as well. He made sure all his students were on top of their school work, grades, extra- curricular activities, etc. Mr. Robinson definitely deserves to be honored with such an award!
Mr. Robinson truly cares about changing the lives of the people around him, and making a difference in his community. Professionally he is knowledgeable, resourceful, and invested in helping the teachers he works with be the best educator they can be. He loves when the "light bulb" turns on for students, and is always willing to do anything he can to help make that happen. Most of all, beyond being a life changer academically, he strives every day to be a positive role model for the teachers and students he serves and for those around him. Not only is he a great educator but an exceptional human and a true example of what it means to be a man, leading through service and putting the best interest of others ahead of his own.

Mr. Robinson is someone who exhibits both professionalism and courtesy at the same time. He's very knowledgeable in technology and always willing to help out in any way possible. He's definitely a team player and someone who can be trusted and dependent upon at any time. I am thankful Mr. Robinson is on our team and his help is always greatly appreciated.

Mr. Robinson mentored me as a new Biology teacher at Marshall High School. He modeled best practices in his own classroom and always made himself available to coach me. I am a better educator and a better person because of Mr. Robinson's influence.
Tyrone has helped me so much. He always helps me with any question I have. Even when there is no more resources, he finds a way to give me some. He has even given up his free time to come run demonstration or observe my teaching to let me know how I can improve or just to give me pointers on how to make certain things easier. I am new to AP Biology and he has helped a lot with my curriculum even though he does not have to. He is always receptive and listens to our concerns or our suggestions on how to make Tests and Planning a better experience. He has even offered my group extended learning options at professional development because we are the Gifted Group with Technology. So he came up with a new way for us to quiz our students through skyward. Tyrone is down to earth and easy to talk to. He is easy to approach and easy to get along with. He is able to come in and turn any problem into a positive solution.
Mr. Robinson always is focused on what is best for the students at MISD and how he can support the faculty and staff. I have never seen him be anything but encouraging and positive! He is a true asset to Marshall ISD!

I have never worked with someone like Tyrone. He is the epitome of a servant leader. He troubleshoots and problem solves for the entire district all day, everyday, and does it with a happy heart, positive attitude, and calming presence. He is a true man of faith and this can be seen in his day to day interactions with his coworkers; he doesn't have to say anything about, you just see it. We are so lucky to have him at Marshall ISD, and that is an understatement.
It did not matter how many students I added to his class roster. He would always smile and state that there was always room for one more. He taught biology with a great passion for making sure success was in reach for all students.
We were so proud to call Mr. Tyrone Robinson one of our own as he transitioned from his role as high school Science Department Chair to District Coordinator. His dedication to student learning, collaborative spirit, and consistent leadership have made a lasting impact on both our campus and all campuses in our district.
