As a 7th grade science teacher, Ms. Hangsen is intentional about creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. She begins each year by building strong relationships and establishing a culture of respect, curiosity, and collaboration. From the start, she makes it clear that questions are encouraged, mistakes are part of the learning process, and every student has something valuable to contribute.
In her classroom, hands-on learning and inquiry are at the heart of science. Ms. Hangsen designs engaging, interactive lessons that allow students to investigate real-world problems, conduct experiments, and think critically together. This collaborative approach not only deepens scientific understanding but also builds teamwork and communication skills.
She prioritizes consistency and structure, using clear routines, positive behavior expectations, and a supportive tone to help students feel secure and confident.
