Ms. Gromley includes her students' interests and preferred learning styles within her classroom and lessons. She provides flexible seating with preferred lighting styles to provide a home type of feel within the classroom. She tries her best to make students feel safe within the classroom family. She also prides herself in fostering relationships with families, and she holds them very near and dear to her teaching philosophy. She also creates a positive classroom environment by establishing clear expectations and routines!

She goes above and beyond making her students her top priority. Brittany understands her students and finds the best methods to accommodate her kids. She treats the students like their her own and I know first hand the positive impacts she had on their lives though parents of the children. In my opinion nobody deserves this award more than her. Teaching isn't just her job it's her passion.
I work directly with Brittany just about every day during the school year. She is the kindest soul and goes above and beyond for each and every one of her students. Their needs come first and it goes far beyond academics. I have seen her work through some very strong emotions with students and teach them skills that they will continue to use for their rest of their life. Special education can be difficult, and you have to think on your feet and be willing to adapt and change things quickly at times. Brittany makes it look easy and with a smile on her face. She is truly a remarkable person!

Brittany is a very special lady and is also my daughter. She is a very caring, compassionate, giving person. She has a heart of gold. She gives 110 percent to her students. I have always taught her to treat people the way you want to be treated, and I believe she has carried that through her teaching and through life.
