A culture of family builds strong relationships, mutual respect, and trust. By combining these elements, Ms. Thomas creates a space where students feel seen, heard, and valued. This holistic approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning and develop essential skills for success. It cultivates a love for knowledge and a sense of community.

Ms. Thomas is the co-author of the Divine Sisters Series, a series of children's books about twin teachers with superhero powers. She also won the Ownership by Everyone Award in 2024. This is a school award given to a staff member who acts as if they were the sole school founder and treats the students as if they were their own children. This staff member goes above and beyond their defined role, promotes the core values, and is a culture builder. Finally, Ms. Thomas piloted the school-wide math intervention program, as well as an autism-inclusive classroom.
